The video seems to be more about the humanitarian parole I-134A. I thought it would be about applying for "welcome corps".
@sabfran, this video was made just as the program was announced! see this weeks video, wednesday, and i will provide info on exactly how to file.
Not an individual but individuals at least five us citizens or permanent residents to come together.
A couple of questions for you Mr. Gray. Filling online form I 134 is not available, so how do we get the reference you said will be sent to the beneficiary(refugee)? And secondly, you mentioned this is under the welcome corps and that process is for 5 US citizens or green card holders to submit an affidavit for a refugee .am I missing something here? Please advise. Thanks
Is there new about Welcome corps, as I told I am TPS in Israel, in Israel UNHCR doesn't give Refugee status.

I filled for my siblings back in January 2023, but due to the instability in my Country, they have flee to Nigeria and currently in the refugee camps.

After my husband passed away in Las Vegas 2011 I contacted immigration immediately they told me that I couldn't stay, even though I had been married since 1999 already had two previous green cards, we had started the process with I-797 received that on Jan 18th 2011.
He died before he finished the application, I only recently found out that I could have stayed.
I lost everything because of this bad incorrect information.

@halle, thank you for this question...there is rumor that a family member cannot sponsor. This is not true. Go to the link in my video and it is clear by law who can be a sponsor.

It’s a group of 5 individuals coming together to help sponsoring refugees! This group need to raise $2275.00 to have available for supporting the refugee! They will only sponsor the refugee for 3 months ! They cannot choose which refugee to sponsor in the first phase! The second phase they can choose whom to sponsor ! First phase finish in June and second begin in June! The government seeking for 10,000 citizens to sponsor 5000 refugees! The group of 5 is called “psg” private sponsor group!

Hi Gray, is this for only Ukrainian and the other country's mentioned as it is on I-134? For example I'm trying to help people from Africa who need my help. Ukrainian or their immediate family member as part of Uniting for Ukraine; or Cuban, Haitian, Nicaraguan, or Venezuelan or their immediate family member as part of the Processes for Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans, and Venezuelans. Let me add some points.
This Welcome corps, private Refugee sponsorship has two phases.
1. Marching phase.
Here 5 Americans or permananent reaidents make a group of 5 private sponsor group.
They raise money 2,275$, take online training(at least 1 sponsor), make background check(free of criminal record), prove that they more than have 25,000 USD yearly income, prepare welcome plan, ......
In this phase only refugee whose case has been referred to USRAP through UNHCR, but not yet resettled to Unites states because of many many reasons may be covid 19,......
They sponsor this type of refugee, Now application is omgoing starting from Feb 01,2023.
2.identification phase....
Here they refer refugee case to USRAP by themselves.
Will launched in Mid 2023
They sponsor specific refugees

They will be phase 2 unless it is approved within the next 6 months.

@tesfatube, there is a rule in immigration law called firm resettlement...if you have refugee or asylee status in a third country, you dont qualify. But the regulations on welcome corps is not out yet...we will see.

Hello sir, My husband’s brother was brutally assassinated 8 years ago in Madagascar our hometown, and insecurity has increased drastically also until now. My husband feels very unsafe going back to our hometown so we are looking for alternatives, We were living abroad for years now. would that be considered to be proof of fear to return home? Also we have nobody in the US who holds a green card to be our sponsor but we are opened to any suggestions. We have gathered some money aside to prepare for this kinda opportunities. Also I don’t see the need for the I-134 on the welcome corps applications page? Where is this requirement listed? It only asks for a screenshot of a bank statement to support evidence of the 2275$ needed per refugee.

Hi, I wanted to know if I am able to sponsor family members that are in critical situation in Ethiopia due to the Tigray & Ethiopia conflict. They have lost their job because of their ethnicity. They are not able to do anything just because they are from Tigray descendent. With this new policy it’s going to continue to cause a backlog for all the other visa due to not enough employees. What I haven’t heard the Biden administration discuss or put into place the plan to hire more resources to review and approve these visa, green cards etc
