@@-_-Jacob-_- Everything that I have purchased from Moog has been sight-unseen. The most I have ever seen in a store was a Little Phatty over a decade ago, and a Grandmother. That is is. Most stores won't stock stuff because it is too expensive, and this was even while the Moogerfoogers were in production.
Wow. Well I closed my eyes and listened. I think I ended up in some far away distant star system. I was lost completely in the music and no mind altering drugs used either. Awsome as always 🤜
The reason Matt makes the Moog sound good is because he is an artist. Making music will sound good on whatever he uses. The rest of us testing for testing sake and judging is just a blight on our judgemental selves. Lovely skills Matt and great design and musicianship. Appreciated. Hope Moog have given you some goodies!
Seeing as your outstanding demos must have surely led to increased sales of the One, Moog should provide you free of charge with a proper keyboard stand for that thing. Obviously all the wobbling hasn't negatively affected your chops, but every time I watch one of your videos, I can't help but worry that it's gonna take a tumble.
Mine arrives tomorrow! It's been 2 years of deliberation, but going back to this video always set me straight in the end :) Can't wait to get lost in it.
Wow! By a very wide margin, my favorite video featuring the Moog One. Goes to show that this is a serious instrument, only as “good” sounding as the person programming and playing it. And, this video sounds glorious!
8:20 part twelve 👍🏼👍🏼 Thanks for uploading. Very interesting to hear what you've made with the Moog One. 0:00 part one 0:58 part two 1:58 part three 2:40 part four 3:33 part five 👍🏼 4:11 part six 👍🏼 muted, slightly melancholic 5:04 part seven 5:47 part eight 6:31 part nine 👍🏼 very expressive 7:19 part ten 7:48 part eleven 8:20 part twelve 👍🏼👍🏼 melodic, evolving future nostalgia 9:00 part thirteen 9:25 part fourteen 9:45 part fifteen 9:50 part sixteen
7:27 part ten 1/2 👍👍 ... you missed this one I agree on all your thumbs ups. 5:05 (part seven) ... sounds a bit like DAF - Tanz den Mussolini Thanks for indexing the parts. 👍 :)
Damn, what a pleasure to listen a artist like you playing that moog, definitely, get a moog one is one of my life goal. Thanks you mr Johnson, from france
Well you said about the lack of videos that showed it capabilities for your liking and style, well you have addressed this wonderfully! Totally gave it what it deserved.
Loving the sounds - better still seeing them played - Beautiful, Man - fantastic vicarious experience of this and your other synths / boards. Again, inspirational - thanks for doing these vids Matt - Kia Ora from New Zealand!
Absolutely beautiful sound design as usual but I also noticed some very Sakamoto-esque chord voicings in there. It also seems from my listening that there is a definite sound heritage going back to the Memorymoog. As always a true pleasure to hear whatever you are playing
So great Matt! A lot of the presets were disappointing as they seem more "engineering" focused than musical or goosebump oriented and I was dying for this video when I first got mine. I feel like the best thing I did was turn off the effects on patches to learn and attain more Moog tone OR hit Init and knob twiddle. There were some good ones as well (not dissing Moog, the synth is a work of art), the patches just did a disservice to the synth IMO ;) Keep these coming good man.
Every time I hear you playing this thing it makes me wanna buy it, but then I’d be ready to send it right back because I couldn’t make it sing like you!!! SUBSCRIBED
want one! sounds gorgeous... but your ability to play is amazing.. synthesis and those tight rhythms and feels.. Matt probably can make any instruments sounds great. it's all coming from his hands I think.. thanks for all those videos you upload on youtube ! huge inspiration!
Oh No! Temptation is rising in me to have a Moog One! I think i'll try recreating some of these sounds on the Quantum first to see how out of the ballpark it is. Nice demo as always :D
Love your playing! At 7:30 I dig the FM-esque sounds you are getting here! I played the Moog One at the Moog factory in Ashville, NC and to be honest I wasn't super impressed. But it seems so complex you would need to have the manual open and a month going through it to get the most of this board. I'm sure after an extensive time with it, I could get some amazing sounds.
Sounds awesome matt love your sounds love the moog sound legendary machines still got my prodigy thinking of getting a voyager or sub 37 i think a moog is part of you thankyou sir . Love that Jupiter i would really love to see you play that baby thanks matt.
I got mine yesterday, people that say this does not sound good are so wrong . Plus the feeling under the fingers is wonderful and solid, and one other great point there are so many useful sounds.
Great video! As an industrial / EBM musician rebuilding a studio after a few years, I'm torn between just getting this big lug and a laptop, or a few smaller synthesizers instead. Choices, choices.
This Moog sounds more like top notch arranger than actual synth. You won't need to hire mastering engineer, everything is already done inside the box:)
Sweeeeeetttt!!!!!! Matt. Mmmm, wondering how an old R&B song (“FREE” by Deniece Williams) would sound like on one of these?...Just in case you are taking requests 😉😎
Is there a convenient interface and hardware so you could patch into the Minimoog Voyager RME over your shoulder, Mr. Johnson? You could really drive the bass from that first arpeggio.
This is good enough to make me go back and play the Moog One in my local store for a third time...
Surprised a store even has one on the floor.
I have one on the floor, well on a stand, you're welcome to try it out.

Do it! I just want to play it “one” time
@@Rhythmicons I just went to a guitar center that had one last week.. first time I've seen one outside of the moog store admittedly lol
It's not so easy to find real pros playing synths here on youtube, and it's always a very very big pleasure when it happens.
Wow.
Well I closed my eyes and listened.
I think I ended up in some far away distant star system.
I was lost completely in the music and no mind altering drugs used either.
Awsome as always 🤜
Exactly the same for me :)
I had to close my eyes to listen too because I thought it was going to fall off that wonky stand twice.

Yep, Moog Music could real easily sponsor you a rugged stand, Mr. Johnson.
4:33 had me gasping for that same reason. Amazing demos and great playing!
Question is, did he ever drop a board. I'd like to know that, especially as Matt's toured so much. Any unlucky spills Matt?
Yeah I started to wonder if my playing might be better if my synths rocked along with the beat like Matt’s
What I like most about your channel is that it remains an intimate corner for listening, learning and sharing ideas.
Thank you!
Mine arrives tomorrow! It's been 2 years of deliberation, but going back to this video always set me straight in the end :) Can't wait to get lost in it.
Yeah, me too. Waiting for mine to come in a week. ) Can't wait to turn the knobs ))

Hi 👋
Brilliant as always. Thanks for showing us this beast in action , sounds superb
Fantastic demo Matt! That reverbed drifting detuned patch at 58 seconds is the sound of dreams!
Beautiful demo, some really sublime sounds, chords and melodies and a great motivation to keep practising my scales ;) thank you!
Good gosh man - bravo! I just want to loop this again and again. Thanks for the vid!
brilliant demo of this, one of the best!!!
Thank you Matt!
Don’t hesitate to make more and longer ones of this kind!
It’s quite enjoyable to listen to an artist who is knowledgeable about his tools.
incredible sounds, incredible playing
Oh my god, so sublime. Beautiful. Thank you.
Talk about take me on a intergalactic journey, the Moog has such a great tone, such a treat to hear it in the hands of the master... 🙌🏻😎🎶👍🏻🎹
Your videos are terrific, but man that stand is wobbly, I'm terrified for you, hope nothing happens to that sublime board! God bless!
I got sea sick

Hi Matt, fantastic sounds und perfect playing. Well done as always.👍
You are one hell of a synthesist!
your a great player - enjoy watching your weird movements whilst you play - makes you look right into your playing - really good
Well you said about the lack of videos that showed it capabilities for your liking and style, well you have addressed this wonderfully!
Totally gave it what it deserved.

WOW!! You have a part 2!!! Just found this, totally Awesome!!! Better than the first one!! This synth is a keeper!!
Stay healthy!! Cheers!! Rix :)
Wooooonderful patches! Great playing! Respect mate!
I love my Moog One! Great demo thanks for sharing.
The sounds still don’t do it for me.
Theres a great underlying sound going on in that magic box played with such skill
I will never be able to buy one but how wonderful to be able to listen to such a fantastic musician play on it.
Just beautiful.
Absolutely beautiful sound design as usual but I also noticed some very Sakamoto-esque chord voicings in there. It also seems from my listening that there is a definite sound heritage going back to the Memorymoog. As always a true pleasure to hear whatever you are playing
Quarantine has been easier because of your videos. You rock. Thanks for these videos!
Great sounds here! Thank you. Matt. I do have to admit though that I'm really glad my Korg Kronos doesn't bounce around like that. I'd be terrified!
This is the way demonstration should be ..style of play parallel with Moog One sounds = killer combination..great wonderful 👏🏻👏🏻thanks
10:07 that eyebrow tweaked just the right amount! wonderful technique
That was very well noticed Sir! Haha
He strikes again, just wow!
Would pay good money for these patches if you made them available! Beautiful sound design and playing :)
What a Great player! Wonderful sounds!
Please create a bank of commercial Patches !
another gem video, Matt.
Awesome sounds..thanks for sharing

Moog evening, Mr. Johnson!
This instrument is an musical paradoxon: voice of future - from the past...
In the Mood (Moog), Sir?
It’s a gorgeous synth. I love Moog it’s just as shame that they are so expensive. Thanks for demonstrating just how awesome this beast can sound.
Every time I hear you playing this thing it makes me wanna buy it, but then I’d be ready to send it right back because I couldn’t make it sing like you!!! SUBSCRIBED
Will be hitting you up for a quote on music composition for our upcoming independent video game soundtrack! So incredible, Matt!
Great as usual. The additional LFO in the keyboard stand is thrilling! ;-)
Such a beautiful piece of machine

gorgeous. beautiful music
Really outstanding music, played by a real musician, thanks, Levi in sweden

Amazing job, as always
Would really love to hear you performing on Tempest, seems like a very underrated instrument
Wow, That was some awesome stuff! ;) I been debating on a Moog...

Beautiful

Love that Jupiter i would really love to see you play that baby thanks matt.
Good stuff Matt.. It seems the One is quite the source of inspiration to you :)
That first pad sound is literally my favorite sound right now. Although the Juno has the same sound and the prophet too.
Quelle machine
Vraiment Formidable !!
Merci.
Great playing! I wanted to hop on the Jupiter-8 and join in.
I got mine yesterday, people that say this does not sound good are so wrong . Plus the feeling under the fingers is wonderful and solid, and one other great point there are so many useful sounds.
Great patches! :D
Incredible
Superb
the low end is so powerfull!!!!!!!!. one day i hope to have synth to call my own :P
Fantastic!
marvellous! thanks a lot!!
Beautiful synth still sounds like a moog from years ago I know I had played mini moog number two
The last piece is like melting in space, please do a full tune on It!!
Matt! You are the hell of a keyboarder!
Addicted to synths, bought mine 7 months ago still in the box. I need to get it out now...
Love the ring mod tape wobble chorus clav
Although I dig the 'no-talking' flair, I just want to say I appreciate your talking just as much as your playing!
insane 💯
😎 Awesome !
You should bring out a Jarreesque album, I'd pay!
Count me in
Travelogue was awesome ! One of my fav album to drive. Check it out !
Or a Jamiroq-uesque album. With Jay Kay humming over this ... breaking out into singing where he can’t hold it. :D ... just saying :P :D
Perfecto súper divino , we need it
What I would give to make music in your studio. Take my soul!
all afternoon listening to Matt Johnson is magic...
Great video! As an industrial / EBM musician rebuilding a studio after a few years, I'm torn between just getting this big lug and a laptop, or a few smaller synthesizers instead. Choices, choices.
Ultraamazing
I really love the wobbly keyboard stand, don‘t listen to the haters.
Yeah It gives the extra vibrato xD
Might go busking with this keyboard
LOL with a synth like that you will get people asking YOU for money
The pad sound that starts around 5.50 is wonderful.
This Moog sounds more like top notch arranger than actual synth. You won't need to hire mastering engineer, everything is already done inside the box:)
Nothing sounds like a moog whirring in a cabnet😊😮
Sweeeeeetttt!!!!!! Matt. Mmmm, wondering how an old R&B song (“FREE” by Deniece Williams) would sound like on one of these?...Just in case you are taking requests 😉😎
Not the same.
Vangelisque! Cool
5:06 I could tweak the cut-off all day with that patch.
Is there a convenient interface and hardware so you could patch into the Minimoog Voyager RME over your shoulder, Mr. Johnson? You could really drive the bass from that first arpeggio.
WHY DON'T YOU SELL YOUR PATCHES? ";) i would buy em
astonishing...
Without a doubt you should have been one of the patch designers for the Moog one
i love it
