I need BMW to do an Aero-focused light car so badly, like a M4 GTS or a completely new model maybe.... something to compete with the GT3RS in terms of lap times. That would be amazing 😊
Anything can beat anything. But if you’re talking about no heavy modifications, then BMW can never get to the level of Porsche or even Mercedes. Both of them just have a secret formula of aerodynamics.
@@marcuslyons4558also BMW's refusal to make a dedicated sports car platform like the 718/911 siblings or the AMG GT it's always a 4 series (Frankenstein 3 series) Z3/4 (more Frankenstein 3 series) or M6/M8 (Frankenstein 5 series) we've reached a level where the only way for BMW to be track competitive would be building something that's truly from ground up but that's too expensive I guess
The driver is much more in tune with this chassis compared to the M2 which seemed to be out of it's designed comfort zone. 10 secs between each numerically numbered model
The car and driver are amazing, but what about those TIRES?! The compound they're using is a miracle to behold in its grip!! My Play Station game didn't have that much traction. 😀

Naja absichtlich ist bissie frech. Der CSL hatte bestimmt die Cup2R. Ob der M2 die auch hatte weiß ich nicht. Dann hatte der M2 vllt etwas schmälere Räder? Und ein M2 ist ja auch kein M2CSL. Ein normaler M3 hat auch weniger PS als ein CSL. Das passt so.
@@runnerbaba Der M2 hatte die normalen Cup2 drauf, zu erkennen am "Quietschen". Aber du ignorierst die niedrigen Geschwindigkeiten geradeaus. Schau mal den Run vom RS3 8y an mit 400hp und AWD...der ist auf jeder Geraden schneller, als der M2 mit 460PS ;-)
Pretty insane grip on acceleration. The driver was pinning the throttle out of most corners and only had 1 oversteer moment on acceleration (before the carousel).
Jetzt Vergleich das mal mit dieser elektrobüchse von Rimak Diesem Panzer. Der kann halt nur gerade aus, wegen seines Gewichtes. das ist ein Auto für den Track. Mega gemacht, BMW
Der Rimac fährt jede Kurve schneller als der M4 CSL hahaha. Bmw hat bisher nix sonderlich beeindruckendes gebaut in den letzten 3 Jahren was Nordschleifne Zeiten angeht.
@@zakvezir134 Mainly because they don't TRY to compete in that segment, they understand a car like this is heavily compromised - it's only 8s quicker than a GT63s which weights like 400kg more and the GT63s did it's lamp on a Damp track with PS4's not Cup 2R's. What's the point, for the money buy a 911 GT3 or Stretch to a 991.2 GT3 RS, Or as well on Mercedes end a AMG GTR or GTR Pro

It's unrivaled in the mid-range car category and really the price point. A comparable Mercedes C63 is about half a minute slower.
