This is my school!! My theatre department opened for him with excerpts of our show of Legally Blonde, and we got to have a great workshop with Ramin beforehand. He is SO nice and really chill. He and I had a long talk about his tattoos :)
Usually, I'd agree with you. But since this was in a concert setting, I don't think they were sticking to the strictness of the characters. A lot of people (believe it or not) had never heard that song. So, the story line is obviously lost on them. I think they both put in enough emotion for the audience to connect. It's clearly a tender moment between the two of them. The crowd loved the performance and in the end, that's what matters.
every time I decide which song of les mis is my favourite, I stumble upon some Ramin version and fall in love with a new song... well, even Marius whom I find most annoying in almost every production sounds perfect from Ramin Karimloo!!!
@ohmylitan You are very welcome! I'm glad I could share my concert experience with all of his fans. And I love reading all the wonderful comments these videos get. He's an amazing performer.
I think these two should be in the next le mis anniv, theyre both great... Her voice is as crystal clear as Lea's(but ofcourse Lea is exeptional) just wow.. :)
Ramin would be perfect for any male part of Les Mis. In a perfect world, there would be a Les Miserables production where Ramin plays all the male characters. I would get a heart attack out of that perfectness. Just... can't *turns away in phyiscal pain of Ramin's singing*
Thank you @jennaveeve for saying what I wanted to. How terrible to start the new year insulting a sweet talented girl who sang the song exactly as it was rehearsed - and sang it beautifully. I have seen it performed both ways in concert style - one is not more correct than the other. She also performs a song from "Millie" called Jimmy that breaks off at the end due to her seeing him with another woman - however, concert style i- you sing it through because it would be out of context .
Tony Arroyo Yup, pretty much. When my roommate convinced me to watch The Phantom of the Opera. I jump into my obsessions pretty quickly. I've already seen almost everything RUclips has on him.... :)
This is my favorite song from Les Mis so maybe i'm the only picked up on the fact that Maddy sang "Grow" at the very end... She is supposed to be dead at that moment and every other version it's just Marius singing it, it takes away from the emotion of him holding his dead best friend, they also made this song too pretty, it's supposed to be a very emotional song and you don't feel the pain in their voices.
She sings it too beuatiful, I mean in this song she's dying, so weird version. But I do like her voice. So don't take it the wrong way. And he would be perfect for this part in Les Mis!
Yeah, it seemed that way, yeah I suppose, I guess I just assume anyone watching this would know Les Mis so they would want them like in character. True the audience is the most important part, without them none of this would exist.
why insult her?? That's how the song was written in the first place. They altered the performance for the musical, but in the end the song was written for both of them to say 'grow' at the end. Maddie's performance was amazing, why can't you be nice and say something positive. Also she is not a twat at all. Considering the song has a female singing more than a male she isn't hogging it. Also the nasty thing/person here is you. Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but yours was just nasty.
They have great voices for sure, but for me this version (the guitar and how they sang it) sounded more like a pop song. In my opinion they could have sang it a bit more emotional.
Maddy is a joke. *saying this after endlessly listening to Lea's rendition* Sorry, Maddy has no depth. She addresses the hurt/pain the character feels by making her damn high voice louder... While she does meet the notes, her lack of control and presence in the character is telling of her singing ability.
She sings with too much power... she is supposed to die here... And Ramin seems too self-centered. He's not a single moment really with her but more occupied with his own voice.. Pity
Now THAT'S a Marius I could fall for! Man I love Ramin Karimloo, that man is absolutely handsome and such a GREAT singer.
I Idolize Karimloo, he is such a great singer and actor, I personally believe he was the best Phantom of them all. such a powerful voice.
I originally came here for Ramin (because he makes me melt) but this is the first time I've heard of Maddy and I'm completely obsessed with her voice!
Same here! But I’m confused is this the same Maelyn who won the Voice? She is amazing.
@@d43imoet yes she's indeed Maelyn from The Voice

I know I'm late but you're so lucky 😄
WHATT
Wow! I can't believe I've never heard her before. She has a very powerful and beautiful voice. Loved it!
the way he's looking at her.. wow
I was thinking the same thing.!!!
We all have to go sometime. I wouldn't mind dying if it was in Ramin's arms with him looking at me that way and singing to me!
He doesn't look at her like he looks at Sierra... Just saying lol.
I love Ramin's presentation of the words. They register with me better than any other version I have heard.
I love this girl! Maddy sounds so good. She was able to take my attention from Ramin's hair, beard, outfit and perfection a few times.
i luv that part when ramin sang "dear god abooooove" it givs me dem chills
This just became my favorite rendition of this song..
I looooOoOove this!! I was just like "--NO ??" When they both sang "grow" at the end. But I think it sounds gorgeous nevertheless
Gente, esse homem tem um olhar tão penetrante... oh homem lindo.

Beautiful. Usually it is Ramin bringing tears to my eyes but Maddy Jarmon did it this time. Very powerful.
3:02 He's a true gentleman
every time I decide which song of les mis is my favourite, I stumble upon some Ramin version and fall in love with a new song... well, even Marius whom I find most annoying in almost every production sounds perfect from Ramin Karimloo!!!
More emotions please
I can't listen to this song and not remember Ramin and Will Swenson performing it. And all the goofiness aside it's just as good!
LOVED watching him and Will!!🤣
No matter. Each time I hear this. My eyes well up.
THIS IS PURE MAGIC AND I CANT EVEN!
Omg she's so beautiful
This is really beautiful. Maddy Jarmon is so sweet and talented!
Beautiful voices, amazing video! Deserve a million of thumbs up!
HOLY MOLY, Ramin was in SOUTHLAKE. THAT'S LIKE 15 MINUTES FROM WHERE I LIVE. I GO THERE LIKE EVERY WEEK!!!!!!!!! My caps lock wasn't broken.
Superb and beautiful.
THE VOICE brought me here. Go Maelyn!
iI adore Ramin Karimloo. He is the best, phantom, Vajean and Marius.
Agh. I love him so much. He's so perfect in Les Mis, though he's my favorite as the Phantom
ラミンのマリウスこの場面が聞けて良かった😊日本も舞台以外でも歌う機会がある時はこんな風に感情込めて風景が浮かび上がって来る様に歌って欲しいな😊
I literally watch this every day, thank you SO MUCH for posting it!
Wow this brought me to tears...I wish it wasn't so much background noise
this is incredible.
Thanks so much!! I love this song!! It's must have been a fantastic night. The sound is excellent.
My life is now complete...
Am I the only one crying like a baby?!?! Darn you Ramin! Stop being so perfect!
This lady is amazing. Damn.
She is so fantastic! I would love to hear her sing the rest of Eponine, with Karim on Marius :P
Thanks so much for posting these!! This was one of my favorite highlights!!
@ohmylitan You are very welcome! I'm glad I could share my concert experience with all of his fans. And I love reading all the wonderful comments these videos get. He's an amazing performer.

amo tanto
❤️❤️❤️❤️. Perfect xx
Steve, I enjoyed your music!!
I would die if I was up there singing with him!
Good one Maddy... gonna miss you on the next tour :)
+Maddy Jarmon !! woow
Amen!
Maddy: you were not supposed to sing the last "grow"... "you" (a.k.a. Eponine) are dead by then!
You can hardly blame her for being slightly distracted when duetting with the divine Mr. Karimloo... *giggles*
MadonnaImperia when you are right, you are right! :D
I still have enough blood for one last syllable before I die.

I just realized that's Maelyn Jarmon. Love her.
ok guys, ramin's a perfect singer... but c'mon, this lady sings outstandingly!! she sounds exactly like eponine's supposed to sound in my head
She is so good! Too good to not be recognize....o.0
Seems so awkward for them to share one microphone..lol
@Krystyn M It was Dec 12, 2012 at Southlake while on his Texas tour.
Maddy starts singing *audience gasps* *I gasp*
Maelyn Jarmon!
I want Ramin to sing that to me ugh
abbey______________ 5 years later and it still applies

Ugh everything Ramin does the just GAH perf
Guys check Maelyn on The Voice and vote for her this Monday for Playoffs
Se puede comprar esta versión en iTunes ?
awesome... but a bit quiet
RAMIN WAS IN TEXAS?????
And this was two years before I even knew who he was :(
lol so you just found out about him last week?
Tony Arroyo Yup, pretty much. When my roommate convinced me to watch The Phantom of the Opera.
I jump into my obsessions pretty quickly. I've already seen almost everything RUclips has on him.... :)
@FreekaLors He's Iranian Canadian
Didnt she just win the voice like a year ago? Also, her name is Maelyn....
Yes, and many said her name is actually Madelyn "Maddy" as nickname
@FabianWilliam that's because there is no argument over his facial hair hotness.
oh, i miss Lea Saloga's voice...
Jean Liao Maddy is incredible too
This is my favorite song from Les Mis so maybe i'm the only picked up on the fact that Maddy sang "Grow" at the very end... who sings Eponine's part?
fair comment but i would have thought a lot at the venue would know les mis as a whole and therfore this piece
Is he Persian?
Iranian
Yes
@@cjjohnson4278 lmao, we're just casually answering to a question formed 6 years ago
Actually, in the score, Eponine doesn't say "grow"... Just saying. :P
never mind
could they not afford 2 mics for them?!
She sings it too beuatiful, I mean in this song she's dying, so weird version. But I do like her voice. So don't take it the wrong way. And he would be perfect for this part in Les Mis!

he'd also be good as fantine :P
Lol, this Eponine bled a bit slower than the rest.
Oh my God. His beard.
I agree, but I prefer him as enjolras only.
i'm seeing some alfie boe there with the beard...
Shame on you for dissing Nick. Brooke may take revenge on you.

I apologize, I love Ramin, and he is my favorite singer and Valjean, but Michael Ball created Marius, and noone will ever surpass him, not even Ramin
How about Richard Dewitte in the 1980 original french concept album?
They have great voices for sure, but for me this version (the guitar and how they sang it) sounded more like a pop song. In my opinion they could have sang it a bit more emotional.
The girl sings really good! but then I don't think this song suits her.. .:(
I love Ramin but I want him To shave
Maddy is a joke. *saying this after endlessly listening to Lea's rendition* Sorry, Maddy has no depth. She addresses the hurt/pain the character feels by making her damn high voice louder... While she does meet the notes, her lack of control and presence in the character is telling of her singing ability.
This woman is definitely the closes to Lea's best version!! but the guy is not as good as Michael Ball!
She sings with too much power... she is supposed to die here... And Ramin seems too self-centered. He's not a single moment really with her but more occupied with his own voice.. Pity
They are just singing it..... its not the actual musical
I know.. still I miss the emotions :(
yeah me too TT-TT
