This is the way that 'how to's' should be done. Clearly articulated, steady but not too rapid pace, good diction, no distracting music or unnecessary comments and excellent synchronisation of video with audio. It would be good if many others offering such aids would take notice of this as a model for their own efforts. Thank you. I viewed and read several aids to this process and none were as well executed.
Thank you so much for your kind words! We're thrilled to hear that you found our how-to video clear and effective. Your feedback means a lot to us, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts. We’ll continue striving for excellence in our content!
Can’t thank you enough! I attempted to use a cheapo usb cord to synch my iPhone and as soon as I plugged it in the computer shutdown and would not turn back on. After a bit of Goggling I found some advice suggesting that the battery be disconnected and reconnected. To my great delight it worked! I wouldn’t have had the confidence to do this without your wonderful tutorial! Thanks for saving my life!
Nice video. I have a question: a SMC reset is not necessary? In another video about MBPro 13'' they state that a SMC reset will make the warning "Replace Battery Soon" go away.
Thanks! I dropped my MBP (Early 2011 A1297) recently and have a dent in the corner. To fix the dent i would need to temporarily remove the (original) battery. Do you think there will be any issues if i remove the original battery temporarily and then place it back?
I just recently purchased a Genuine Apple A1286 battery for my 2011 Macbook pro, and once I turn on the machine it shuts off after the apple icon turns on. I plug the magsafe and turn it on, and it boots up normally but has 15% charge left. (Battery status Normal, Cycles 0) tried doing a SMC reset and it doesnt boot up with just battery. Not sure if battery will have to be calibrated.
Has anyone had this problem after battery replacement with a 3rd party battery. My battery says it's fully charged but the computer goes into hibernate or shutdown within 5 min of AC power disconnect.
Mine is worse then yours. I changed to a new battery 3 different times! With 3 different batteries! And it still shuts down instantly when i disconnect the AC... ! No joke! Even I followed every step closely of this video... Anyone have any suggestions for me?

The only problem is that they cannot send abroad. The laws are stricter now and Everybody has to buy batteries from their region (Europe, Asia, US, etc)

No.
What size tri lobe screwdriver is required for the repair? I will need to buy one for this fix.
The tri-point screws holding the battery in place require a Tri-point Y0 screwdriver.
Two of the battery screws seem to be stripped. I cannot get them out. Anyone have a solution?
Thanks
Will a 2.0mm Tri-point screwdriver work?
We recommend using the tools listed within the tutorial, we are not able to guarantee if other screwdrivers would be able to work.
