I had the privelidge of driving Ali and the Temps around the uk in 1992 as there tour bus driver. Of all the artists i drove these guys were pure gentlemen and i was made to feel part of the tour instead of just being the driver.....Ali even got me up to sing a verse of my girl at the london odeon ( as he does on most nights with the audience ) never the less it stands out in my memory. RIP Ali a true gent.
💫✨Guitarist, Mitch Perry’s hair - - just G🤩RGEOUS - - reminds me of a young Daryl Hall w/ longhair that I saw in a picture once. As for Mr Ali-Ollie . . . SMH and here’s why :: first time hearing him sing and it was, ‘Treat Her Like A Lady,’ ; Soul Train 🚂 was on and I heard them announce the Temps among other msgs, I being in another room. Don C. 🎙️, cue music 🎼, An energetic vocal falsetto belted out : 🗣️🎙️🎶”Woohoo, Woohoo, Woohoo’ooo . . . Well, I’m the kind of guy who don’t believe that chivalry is dead, And I believe a woman should be treated with the UTMOST respect,” - - That’s all it took and I was musically on the hook 🪝 to that tremendous voice!!! 😅 ‘THLAL’ was a very nice uptempo jam, tryna help these young pups (age-wise, prolly some older emotionally immature fellas out there too) Fast-forward a bit to the heart-arresting, soulful, slow-groove : ‘Spec🌹Al’ and again, it’s time to drop the mic 🫳🎤 on this beautiful ballad that Ali crooned from the bellows of his very being BUT, as I heard, he had penned as lyricist 🗓️✍🏽 as well! Truly, a gifted gentleman and artist. Thx for uploading!😊💫✨
@DigitalPamfilms--Thank you for the information. I looked "Teddy" up on the internet and his name is Teddy Andreadis. According to the info on the internet, he performed with quite a few different groups as a guest artist. Sure resembles "Wolf Man Jack", who died some years ago. Thanks again.
I really enjoyed this---by the way, who's the big guy with the glasses to Ali's right---he has a red ribbon in his lapel--looks like "Wolf Man Jack", the deejay.
True talent, natural no electronic needed old school at its finest.
His voice was many notches above any other singer as far as pure quality goes. Plus the man was a true , kind gentleman. Never to be forgot, never!!!
