Glad I’m not the only one who puts perfume on after a shower just to sit at home and cuddle under blankets
This more personal content is so refreshing! Just hearing about experiences instead of being sold something is really appreciated ❤
I get it :-). You're welcome ❤️❤️❤️.
Ive never watched a video of her selling anything, correct me if I'm wrong.Ive seen her recommend scents she likes
@@GeminiJonsonI think she is mentioning that, because of many other fragrance youtubers...not Shana.
My secret scent is Estee Lauder's White Linen. My Aunt wore it and to me she smelled rich. I was 17ish when my Grandmother bought my first bottle and nobody couldn't tell me NOTHING!! I'm in my 50's now and the smell takes me back to the point where I tear up (happy tears)...
Yesss White Linen had that rich classy lady vibe back in the 80s. It’s still so good. All the Estée Lauder scents are ❤
You shouldn’t feel like you have to only wear these when you’re alone. Vintage fragrances are beautiful and can still be appreciated by many. I don’t think you need to label them as guilty pleasures. Lovely fragrances Shana! ❤
Girllll when you came back, you came back💃💃💃💃Thanks for all of the videos!!!
I can't stay out of my perfume collection for nothing. I'm obsessed with my perfumes girl 😂. That equals more videos! ❤️
My Mama's favorite was White Diamonds. She passed from breast cancer at 49 in 1997. I still have her bottle. It only has about a quarter of an inch left. I also have the last fragrance I bought for her before she passed, Elizabeth Taylor's Black Pearl. About a half a bottle. Now that I'm approaching my late 40's, I decided to get all of the ET fragrances. Surprisingly I ❤ White Diamonds & Rubies. So powdery, sweet and eternal lasting. Love your videos. Now you got me tearing up while eating dinner 😂
My fav for me is Halston
The perfume Chloe was my signature sent for almost 20 years. I keep a bottle in my collection just to remind me of the days of my youth…like listening to an old record album, browsing through an old photo album, it makes me smile and brings back the warm & fuzzy feeling of innocence combined with the journey including new experiences; life…
My guilty pleasure is a body spray from Calgon called Turquoise Seas. It smells so beachy & clean. It reminds me of the days when i was a young mom & had my first child. I was 17 & you couldn't tell me nothing 😂i doused myself in it & I'd spray a slight mist on my daughter's clothes before i got her dressed. I'll never forget pushing her in stroller with her sunhat & glasses 😎the compliments..." oh she's so beautiful, she looks just like you, y'all smell good.!"
She's 25 now💕(damn im old)
But yeah, thanks Calgon for the nostalgia.
I still love Ciara perfume that came out in 1973 I adore that scent❤
I like spraying ciara in the air
OMG Ciara is soooo strong.. like I cant even.
@@dali722 it has different strengths, 100 is the strongest
I LOVE Blue Grass, so soapy, I am an Aldehyde junkie....and White Musk....COVER ME😂
I have gloria vanderbilt, jovan musk, revlon charlie and Windsong that I wear at home. I wore these fragrances in middle/high-school so it brings back nice memories. I'm in my early 40s. I view fragrances the same way as people view photos " memories "
I LOVED JOVAN MUSK. IF YOU-KNOW-YOU-KNOW...Thanks for the throwback😊😊😊
Mine would be Vanderbilt. I wore it in high school, and I still think it's pretty!
Vanderbilt is beautiful.
She came back swinging, ok 👍🏽 ❤
Acqua di Gio Armani. Came out in 1995. I wear it in and out. Its not that easy to find anymore after the came out with a bunch of flankers none of them compare. Sweet floral aquatic thats what I smell. Its amazing!
Yes, the original Acqua di Gio is that girl!
bring back the aldehydes! bring back the oakmoss too! tell the crowd it's from a niche house called Tay Tay and they'll be all over it. 🤣Mine is diamonds and rubies, but I wear it out too. I also wear Victoria Secret's Rapture. My daughter says it's old-fashioned. LOL
Rapture is a gem
I had to return Rapture 🥲. Penhaligon’s “Ellenisia” has a lot of white florals and smells like a grandma scent but the dry down is soft feminine & pretty
Omg I forgot about rapture! I wish i had that in my collection… such happy memories of the 90s! I remember my mom having the whole set next to her bathtub and i thought it was SO glamorous ❤
I wear Bijan, another 80’s beauty which has a similar ambery scent profile as Rapture -and it’s super affordable!
I wish they’d bring back the original Rapture bottle and the original Victoria (signature) scent. It was so pretty!
If I go outside and spray this in the air and run back inside I can enjoy a memory of this fragrance my late husband complimented me on- it is Cabotine.
Yes! 😂. I had cabotine. The drydown didn't work on me, but I know on the right woman it would be so magical ✨️.
My guilty pleasure fragrance is CHARLEY. Yup, old-school from the 1970's. Just smells good on me. #NoShameInMyGame 😄
Shana when you were reading the notes for the perfumes I noticed that perfumes back in the day had alot of notes, that's probably why it lasted for a long time. Now you can't get the longevity. Things have changed so much.
Angel…I wear it at least 4 times a week!
Yassssssss I love white diamonds 💎 I wear it as well at home or to the store it still smells good to me I don’t care if people say it’s old lady 👵 I’ll happy God blessed me to live my age I love smelling good.
I don't see these kind of comments about WD often. Thanks so much for sharing ❤️.
@@ShanaJ no thank you for posting this about WD also this perfume is made with really potent oils they not using these oils in todays perfumes that much anymore they make you pay an arm and a leg here in the states but this perfume will always be a good smelling classic.🌹
I really, but really love Jean Paul Gaultier Classique the EDT that came out 1993 ,I totally agree with you Shana that is a Masterpiece!!!
I like Jovan White Musk...not sure why I keep it to myself. I guess cause it's kind of a skin scent but I love how clean yet intimate it is. Kind of like sexy wipes lol
Avon Timeless, Avon Charisma, Avon Topaze. Aromatics elixir. I wear those for myself
Fragrances I keep for myself are Amarige by Givenchy, Shalimar and Samsara by Guerlain and Casmir by Chopard. I appreciate the vintage feel of these scents and they bring back wonderful memories. I will wear these out and about because I find them to be beautiful.
Amarige and Shalimar are queens ❤ sooo good
Yesss! Need more of these videos! Bring back the classics! They are also so nostalgic! My mom wears white diamonds and i told her she smelled like clean soap! I love Chanel No. 5 and white diamonds reminds me of it.
Maja. It's an old-school classic, but not one that I anticipate most people would be a fan of today.
And I still love Gloria Vanderbilt perfume, strictly for nostalgic reasons.
Donna Karan Cashmere Mist mmmmm
Burberry weekend, I just wear what I want when I want, long are the days where we’re pushed to purchase what the masses say we should!!! Nice video ❤
I feel this way about Aromatics Elixir..extremely vintage and potent..Rich Aunty from an hollywood classic 60's film...one spray on the chest and put my clothes on..and I get wafts all day. Not for everybody..loved this video❤
Thanks for sharing this!! ❤️❤️❤️
This is my mother’s signature scent. It’s nice with one spray but she feels the need to bathe in it. It’s too strong for all that 😂
A couple of perfumes that I adore but are dated are Passion by Elizabeth Taylor and Tabu by Coty. You'll smell like a woman in a velvet dress; full of sensuality and confidence.
Two that I wear just for me are Kate Walsh Boyfriend and Burberry Touch. I am told these come off as "mature" but I love them! :)
Yes yes to the JPG 🙌🏾 I own it and it gives me best of the 90's vibes❤
I’m wearing Calvin Klein Eternity today. I like both newer and older fragrances.
I LOVE all three of these fragrances. I love the classics. This video was awesome.
My Grandmother adored White Diamonds. It reminds me of that beautiful woman. My daughter went marching out the door in it every day in ELEMENTARY school.😂 The tiny perfume bottle with the diamonds on the bow top. You know what? She smelled amazing. She absolutely loved it and Moonlight Path.😂 I love it to this day and also have the lotion, powder, bath gel and soap. When you layer it, it is nuclear.
I also love Elizabeth Taylor Passion.
I wore Classique to work last week. It's gorgeous. And Blue Grass to me is a warm summer day.
My favorite old schools are Lauren (red bottle), Tommy Hilfiger, and White Shoulders.
I enjoy all these scents. I still wear exclamation by coty which was my favorite scent in high school. It smells very clean.
Shana you have impeccable taste in fragrance! I also love Blue Grass and Classique. I think Elizabeth Ardennes scents are underrated. My first signature fragrances were Liz Claiborne (the triangle bottle) in high school and then Sunflowers by Elizabeth Arden in college. I was a 90s girl. I still have those 2 scents and wear them when I want to be nostalgic.
I just bought a new bottle of Liz Claiborne out of nostalgia and was shocked to find I actually prefer the reformulation. That never happens to me. It’s intoxicating!
Elizabeth Arden always red femme is a perfume I love. Every time I wear it, it makes my mood so much better.
Me too. I tried to find it and I cant.
Have you smelled Bulgari Omnia Amethyst? It just smells so powdery, woody and etherial! Smells like a secret fairy garden💜💜💜
OMG Shana! I always wear white diamonds at home all the time!I always find my self re-applying now and then
🤗 Yes, every now and then I crave it and take light, random sprays lol. Thanks for sharing ❤️.
Omg I still have my JPG classic from a long long time ago.
Vintage fragrance are stunning and beautiful I have a few I keep to myself sparkling white diamonds and brilliant white diamonds Vanderbilt Gloria Vanderbilt ❤them all
Guerlain Shalimar. I looooove it I’m just worried I’ll choke someone out with it.
It’s so beautiful. They make a lighter Cologne version of Shalimar, a little more crisp and citrus/powdery that can be worn without fear of offending anyone.
Good afternoon Shana J😊. Love this video ❤❤❤. JPG Classique is on my list. I love orange blossom fragrances. I wore ET White Diamonds when I was 15yrs old😂😂😂😂. Way too grown for me, my dad didn't know any better at the time😢😅😂. I am curious about some of the flanks. I was just thinking about fragrances of the past that I would love to revisit. Tribu by Benetton was a favorite of my aunts in the 90's and I remember loving the scent. Im still holding on to half a bottle of Mariel by H2O. I wore it in my late teens in the 90's and I sniff my bottle when I want to be reminded of those great times. Still wear Shi and Jewel by Alfred Sung. Thinking about Perry Ellis 360 the OG. When fragrances stayed on your clothes even after 3-4 washes😂😅.
Classique is beautiful! Like you, I always bypassed Blue Grass. Next time I'll have to try it.
Classique is something else! Yes, lightly spray BG. It may or may not be for you. You never know until you try.
Love White Diamonds! I just sprayed some! It is gorgeous and I love all the flankers, too.❤
Yes girl yes! The flankers are also very nice. In regards to the original WD, It's all in the application. I use to dislike it and quickly realized that I was applying it wrong.
I love Elizabeth Taylor White Diamonds and the flankers they llast for hours being edt. I have JPG Classique here in New Mexico they are popular.
I wear Kenzo Flower for myself, usually when I go to bed or am staying in the house all day. Its fresh, earthy, and smells how I would imagine a meadow to smell after it rains. I was expecting it to be floral when I first bought it, but it smells more like vegetation and for some reason that makes it feel cozy to me.
I love vintage smelling perfumes. I feel like the only one who under 50 who likes the original Shalimar. I still wear it out though idc.
Yes! I love me a good vintage perfume 🤗.
You’re not the only one. Vintage perfumes are complex and beautiful. Scent profiles go in and out of fashion but ultimately what’s good is good. Wear what you like.
I love White Diamonds and Classic edt! ❤😍😍😍 And my doughter of 12 loves them too!!! She also loves Chanel n°5🙃😁
Hello hun! Shana I'm so happy your back. Hun don't take what I am texting you. When you came back hun you came back a grown ass women. Don't get me wrong you was grown back then. Hun you have a new attitude. Like your not for the nonsense. I like that. Keep it going. ❤❤
Aromatics Elixir, Red Door and Eau du Soir are my secret pleasures
My lil sis(48) loves white diamonds not for me(50) to floral gives me a headache but blue grass is nice i use as a spray on my throws, i wore classique in college 4got about her mite need to give here a try again now i love me some Red door Green Tea... i dont necessarily keep them to myself in fact i shout im more than glad to promote them whether its a young one older Saint asking me about it
Shana, have you tried Lancôme's Magie Noire? It's a vintage scent that has made a comeback recently. It's a full-on Chypre Floral fragrance. I can definitely see you appreciating this scent
I actually like white diamonds but I haven’t bought that fragrance in years. I feel that red door is for me… periodt❤ remember primo I still wear that one ever since my husband got me this one it’s a fav of mine….yasss
Wow I forgot about Primo. It was a copycat of Giorgio which I used to love. 💛
Haha I just looked at a bottle of Primo today and thought damn I haven’t seen that in years. I always thought it smelled better than Georgio. It’s missing whatever the headache inducing note in Georgio is. I remember everyone used to bathe in that stuff back in the day.
Primo was my scent in high school! Also loved Malibu Musk & White Diamonds!
My family is pretty adverse to patchouli, so I save those perfumes for when they’re not around. I also save the super fruity mists for when I’m relaxing at home. They sometimes feel too young, if I want to be taken seriously. But they’re delicious.
I have Angel of Thierry Mugler only for myself. It is by far the more intense fragrance that I have. It lasts more than 12 hours and love how it evolves.
Yes, I use to wear Angel in the house because I ADORE the floral and gourmand aspect of that scent . I would've continued if I wasn't so anti-Patchouli. Which screams on my skin. Thanks for sharing! ❤️
My favorite!!!
I absolutely ADORE the John Paul Gaultier perfume. I think it's absolutely beautiful!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I love aldehydes in fragrances. I really don’t care if it smells “vintage” or not. Another note I love is patchouli. And it’s a note I literally used to hate. Patchouli can be earthy or dusty which makes some people think vintage. I’ve evolved in my fragrance journey to the point that I learned to appreciate patchouli.
One fragrance I love to wear at home alone is Javoy Psychedelique. Got a travel from Maxaroma of it because it’s so strong and they only sell 100ml bottles of it everywhere which would be too much. Patchouli bomb. Very polarizing ❤
There is a great backstory about JPG Classique that i know you would enjoy.
It's a tribute to his Nana
Some of the inspiration was Cutex nail polish remover and Coty's loose powder!
Blue grass brings back so many memories of my mother.
Thank you for being true to yourself and your followers.
Beautiful job of inspiring people.
I enjoy Cashmere Mist edp, it can be a bit aggressive but I love the clean comforting scent. I also love Coastal Hydrangeas by Bath & Body Works. It smells like my childhood. I still haven’t figured out who or what smelled like that but it lifts my mood…even though some people think it smells grandma-ish.
Hi, I totally get you. For me that scent was Amouage Gold. I love it so much but only wear it for myself as nobody else seems to enjoy it in my family 😂
One of the first fragrances I got when I began collecting was Light Blue Intense by D&G. It was a blind buy, but I was excited to try it out so I sprayed it and waited to see my then so's reaction. They DID not like it at ALL. That kinda threw me off and I haven't worn it since. I still kept it and will probably give it another shot soon in hotter weather to see how I feel about it now.
I just recently discovered Beautiful by Estee Lauder, and I absolutely adore it. I picked up a vintage miniature bottle second hand and thought, eew, no way, but after watching many reviews, I cleaned the nozzle and sprayed out a few sprays before spraying it on me. At first, I still struggled, but I happened to be leaving the house, and when I stepped outside...oh my gosh!!! I was enveloped in the most beautiful scent! It was like a fancy, English tea party, just slapped me in the face! It truly was beautiful! I'm so glad I finally came around to liking this elegance in a bottle! I ordered a 30ml and see myself getting a full-size bottle, too!
I'm pretty bold though too and I will probably wear it when and where I want! 😅
I’ve been binge watching your videos as I’m new to your channel as of a month ago and can I say you are so stunning. You come across as very put together and classy yet polite and well spoken. I also enjoy your humor. You always look like you smell so good and refreshing! I hope that’s not coming across as odd but just wanted to spread positivity today since I’m feeling down this morning. But I’ll keep my head up so my crown doesn’t slip. 👑 💜
I don’t necessarily ONLY wear certain fragrances if I’m alone, but when I know a certain perfume or note bothers someone I will avoid it when I’m going to be around that person. For example, my husband hates anything br540 dna, so I only wear that when he is out of town. A coworker is sensitive to heady tuberose, (mancera velvet vanilla gave her a headache), so I stay away from that note on days I’m working with her. I try to stick to more mass appealing scents for work in general, but if I do wear something more challenging I try to keep the sprays minimal!
One of my signature scents. Beautiful by Estee Laufer is called an old lady scent. But I don’t care.
I use to always keep white diamonds in my collection one of my aunts use to gift it to me often. Love it
I’m curious about blue grass. I like floral green scents.
I am a true floral girl. ❤
So happy... you are knowing "white Diamonds" I have this too... for my own pleasure
Girl, I love White Diamonds! It smells really lovely layered with Tropidelic from Bath and Body Works 😏
White Diamonds hit the market when I was a little and I couldnt wait to get grown and buy a bottle.Well,it stinks to me.Ive purchased it wore it a few times trying to make myself like it,but its not happening
Thanks for sharing Shana💕
Aromatic by Clinique..... Its was my bonus mom favorite scent. She passed in 2021 and when I need to feel near her, I use it....
I'm really enjoying the titles of these videos! Something fresh and intriguing! Great job!
CK Obsession (1985), Sand & Sable (1981) & Exclamation (1988)....oh & one I believe is discontinued Coty Ici (1995).... absolute bangers IMHO 🙌🏾
Another great video Shana! Thank you! ❤
I love the classics. I am glad you are enjoying them.
I have some favorite vintage fumes... Samba, Sand & Sable, Jessica McClintock, Giorgio, Rumba Passion, Design by Paul sabastian, White Diamonds Lustre and Curve connect. These are my "just for me" scents : )
Loved White Diamonds in high school! Tfs!
I just love your channel. I especially love nostalgic fragrances! You make the most unique fragrance content 🥰
Love this content!! ❤
Some vintage favorites of mine:
Giorgio Red. This one, along with BBW Cucumber Melon, remind me of my favorite aunt who passed on back in '14. When I want to feel her spirit near me, I will put on those.
YSL Paris. Reminds me of my senior year in highschool/ freshman year in college. Have so many great memories of that one.
Cacharel LouLou. Another one that brings back memories of my college days. Days of partying and bad decisions.😂😂😂
Love your honest opinions.... I too wear White Diamonds because it smelled good on someone else. I like it in all its phases. It lasts all day and I can always count on someone else enjoying it when I where it! However.... if I spray too much... it's a trigger for sneezing and headaches!! A little will do ya!!
Thanks for keeping it real! I also love JPG! My guilty pleasure to add is Tabu. No shame, but it is strong and easily identifiable; when I wear it out in public, I have to be in the mood for people bc I'm usually stopped by folks who want to talk about their scent memories.
I had a bottle of white diamond for year's. I may have purchased it when I 1st way back in the day bought fragrances. Red door was another that I bought back then. I no longer have either in my collection. Over the years, my attraction to certain fragrances has changed.
Men love classique. I layer mine with zaras peach glow to give it a more modern feel. My guilty pleasure could be one of my lush perfumes. I like how they smell but I don't necessarily want to smell like that so I wear those at home.
I feel like some these so called “old lady fragrances” gives off a more sophisticated and boss lady vibes, so in my book you shouldn’t have to wear them when you’re alone or feel like they are not good recommendations. I feel the same way about Angel Mugler but I still wear it out New Subbie here TFS 💜
Soooooooooooooo ❤❤❤ happy you are back! I've missed you so much!!! Just went on a SHANA J binge. I just love this topic. I love vintage scents, but I'm in my 50s. But i truly relate to enjoying certain perfumes solo. My top favorite is my husband's most hated and criticized. It's a dupe for Oud Satin Mood by MFK called, Baroque Satin Oud. I absolutely love the sweet, powdery rose..but my husband says it reminds him of his Grandmother and my husband is in his 60s! I also wear Animale for her solo. I love, love, love it... but it's another that my husband can't stand. It's vary similar to Paloma Picasso, Diva, and Magie Noire. Gorgeous honeyed rose chupre oriental. And finally, white diamonds. Total guilty pleasure for me. God bless you Darling. Grateful to God you are well and safe. Worried about you all year long.
I want classique soooo bad 😮 .....
My mom loves Bluegrass❤
Your top is gorgeous.
I recently purchased a Navitus fragrance to support a RUclipsr that I adore. When the fragrance arrived - to my nose it smelled ok but there is a note in the juice that I LIKE TO SMELL/Experience but I wouldn't want people to smell on me....if that makes sense?
For this reason, I ONLY wear this expensive $300 fragrance home and specifically at bedtime.
Omg, I so understand the whole "being able to accept that one odd note or accord, but just know other people may not"😂. I get it! It's sad that it's so expensive but at least you still get to enjoy it 😉.
I recently found your channel and I'm loving it ❤
Welcome! I'm glad you are enjoying the content 😊❤️❤️❤️.
I have a weird one called Santal. It has notes of cardamom. I wear it only at home. ❤❤
Nobody talks about my love Tabu. I usually only wear it at home. White Diamonds should be watered down, a few sprays is too much. Sometimes I spray my bed in the morning and then in the evening it's amazing.
There’s this girl who comes in to my job and she smells like a powdery soft perfume that I’ve smelled on older women. Every time I see her I know she smells good even though it’s unexpected because she’s super young. It might be White Diamonds.
I still have white diamonds in my collection..
Also , being a woman in my 50s, I still appreciate the older scents, not to mention
Sunflowers, Design, Casual, Red Door these will 4ever be in my collection
The scent I choose is Lucky Number 6, I absolutely love this scent, it’s linear and cheap but I don’t care, I love it ❤I went to pickup breakfast one morning and the cashier was going crazy over this scent.
My guilty pleasures are Cabotine de Gres and Jacques Saint Pres Ciel, the first one because is so powerful and green on my skin that I'm afraid I can annoy people around me, and the second one because is VERY powdery and childish, a perfect bed time perfume. Classique lives up to its name, it is a classic that will never be updated, I wear it proudly in autumn and winter, you should taket it to the street, it is gorgeous 😘
@_ShanaJ I love your Chanel not only because I've found some really good perfumes on a budget, but above all because you share with us your passion for that elusive beauty of perfumes. Thank you very much
I feel the same for my Safari Ralph Lauren, Boucheron Boucheron, Poison Dior...I love them but l don't have enough confidence to wear them outside the comfort of my bedroom.
PS l also have the Blue Grass ..a tad bit strong to bed though sort of reminds me of Rive Gauche.
hey girl nice video ,,, i wear perfumes all the time n i just have to wear them to bed as well every night, the perfume that i only wear for myself is L'air du temps by Nina Ricci my mom used to wear it wen i ws little n i got my frst bottle wen the couture edition came out n since thn i have gone through a few bottles as its very nostalgic for me
Please do a video styling your hair 🙏🏾
