    I wonder as Plan F recipients dwindle will they be moved into Plan G? It seems like Medicare is promoting some co pays to avoid frequent physician visits, etc. I wonder if Plan N will be the model soon to avoid over use of doctor appointments.

    • @MedicareSchool
      @MedicareSchool  Год назад +1

      Plan G is still the popular choice because if No Copays and No 15% excess charges that doctors can bill.

    • @MedicareSchool
      @MedicareSchool  Год назад +1

      At doesn't look like they will be moved. In most States you have to medically qualify to change letter plans.

    Great for y'all that can afford over $800 a month for 2 people. I took advantage. No choice. Do the math...$174 part B, $180 for supplement G....$55 per month for a D. Times 2. Yeah no. If I blow up my $3700 on advantage cap I will make payments to the hospital. Screw it.

    I just turned 64 this month. I can collect full S.S. At 66 1/2. I need to work until I’m 70. If I understand you, I can wait until I’m 70 yrs old and Go on Medicare A+B +G and not need to qualify for G?

    • @MedicareSchool
      @MedicareSchool  Год назад

      That's correct, you can delay Medicare with no penalty if keeping active Group Insurance from a large employer. You qualify for an SEP, Special Election Period, to enroll at a future date which requires the two forms, Employer verification and 40B.

      @@MedicareSchool what is a 40B?

    • @MedicareSchool
      @MedicareSchool  Год назад

      The CMS 40B form is the form to request enrollment into Medicare Part B.

    Another question. A neighbor has MAP and is going on the road for a few years in her RV. What will she do if she needs health care and is living 2000 miles away in a camp ground? MAP doesn't have the portability as Traditional A/B

    • @MedicareSchool
      @MedicareSchool  Год назад

      A/B with a Supplement is more flexible with Open Access so freedom to see any Dr/ facility Nationwide accepting Medicare.

    • @MedicareSchool
      @MedicareSchool  Год назад

      With Medicare Advantage, your neighbor can go to any ER or Urgent Care nationwide if it's an emergency or Urgent care Situation.

    • @MedicareSchool
      @MedicareSchool  Год назад

      Most Advantage plans are tied to an area so for Non emergency care, there are network restrictions.

      Medicare Supplement would be the most flexible with an Open Access Network.

    I'm on SSDI, turning 65 now, on plan F. Should I change to plan G?

    • @MedicareSchool
      @MedicareSchool  Год назад

      I would check the Plan G vs F premiums from top carriers with most Raye stability. If the G premium is substantially lower than F and you'll be way ahead in the year than I would go with Plan G while you have a second Open Enrollment opportunity without health questions asked. The only difference between Fand G is the Part B deductible, annual deductible is $226 so if you will save much more than that in the premium difference than it makes sense yo go to G.

      Yes, It can have yearly increases. Supplement Insurance can increase over time but some companies have more stability than others.

    Thanks for all the information! Question: I turned 65 last year in November. Joined Aetna Advantage PPO plan on 11/01/22. Thinking of changing to Medicare supplement Plan G. As far as I know, I have until the end of the 12-month "trial right" period (10/31/23) to change plans without having to go through underwriting. Is that correct?

    • @MedicareSchool
      @MedicareSchool  Год назад

    • @MedicareSchool
      @MedicareSchool  Год назад

      Correct its based on your initial Medicare Part A date, but make sure you give yourself enough time to obtain/ request a disenrollment letter from your Advantage carrier which has to be submitted with the Supplement application.
