- How to make an ear guard 2 ways for your mask!
Sorry this isn't related to hematology but very much related to lab work in the time of covid-19.
Just looking out for some of us who have to wear these things the whole day. This should relieve the pressure on your ears.
Everything is customizable to your preference you can make a longer one and cut multiple flaps so you can adjust to your liking. I used a very old and used, plastic folder for mine. The one I made is 5.5 in x 1 in. Please make it 8 in x 1 in this dimension seem to fit most of the people I work with in the lab. Shorten accordingly for guys.

Awesome! 😀 I've recently started using cotton rounds. I take a cotton round, cut it in half, and place a half on the top of each of my ears where the elastic loop goes around. Truly a life saver! Amazing comfort! 😀

I like the scrunchie idea. Plus I've seen in Claire's they sell the scrunchie with the handkerchief already attached. I tie my hair up all the time so that's a great idea.

You can use a small length of old shoe lace, maybe 3-4 inches, to secure the loops around the back of your head. There will some light pressure, but 100 times more comfortable than that pinched ear pain. Another thing to use is cut off the loop strings from a old mask to customize a new one
