I really enjoyed working on this one, and with it, I have covered the entirety of the Underworld Saga!! Wooo!!! Next, I'll probably jump to Thunder Saga so I can get viewed (cough viewership go up on newer songs I beg), but then Circe Saga next since I saw some of y'all commenting and requesting it!
My friend @MalinaRose , who has been my LOVELY duet partner for the entire saga, is also posting some covers the two of us have done from the Ocean and Troy sagas so go sub to her and see them! (Also check out our original Shadowheart song, "Guide Me", on her channel if you're a BG3 fan or just like good music).

Sometimes, I like to add my own little stacked chorus vocals. I did a four voice chorale underneath the main lyric chorus (and if you listen closely, you'll hear the melody of "No Longer You" because I'm a crazy bitch who loves leitmotifs).
Leitmotifs are the best, especially for multiple pieces that tell a bigger story.
Anyone who hates on them can fight me.

I think only flaw is the way you sing is so calm but here character is so stressful and full of regret. Your voice is so beautiful and i can see that in mother part. Wish you best 🫶🏻
I appreciate the valid criticism! I'm classically trained and transitioning over to doing more MT and modern types of sounds in my singing so sometimes I lean a bit too far back in the calmness and ease of voice haha. Thank you though!

This is a fascinating cover to listen to! The main chorus at the beginning and ending were more like a reprise-sequel cover, in that you sank it more like a pop star at a concert. What I mean by that is you didn’t have the tones of grief that a musical singer would have on stage. You belted out with emotion, but more positive sounding than initially intended. In fact I was starting to think you made this song too “cheerful sounding.”
But when you said “mom” and did the duet with Odysseus’ mom, I was nearly crying. You put so much raw emotion into that part. Everything between “mom” and “bye mom…” was eye-watering perfection! Keep up the amazing job!
