Girl's Frontline is largely about when robots become people, yet highlights the obvious differences between them to keep you guessing. A moment in the story that sticks out to me is when a character is searching a location a previous version of themself was killed at. They find a journal on their body, a journal they also keep on themselves too, detailing their life experiences and the friends they made. The doll takes it and vows to also make that life apart of themself, to honor their own memory. The dolls are killed routinely and new versions of themselves are loaded from backups, but they obviously lose everything after the backup (sometimes months) and there's the obvious question of if a robot loaded from a backup personality matrix is really "them." The characters are mostly repurposed civillian androids, contrasted heavily by the military dolls that look like faceless metal robots. This is why they look like girls - hot girls with working genitalia were much more profitable for selling.
The manga is okay but the best way to experience the story is still the game. The manga has few key problems that you don’t really address here. Mainly, it suffers from having to adapt easily the most dull part of the story first and its inability to compensate for that. Sure it’s not the manga’s fault that Girls Frontline doesn’t really pick up until you reach Chapter 8 but that doesn’t excuse completely skipping Operation Cube or Gentiane being a shit answer to the player character. The game only compounds when the characterisation the player is given after Singularity is almost entirely different. Also the only reason the game is rated 12+ is so more people download it. This applies to every gacha game from Genshin Impact to Azur Lane. No one actually care if it’s age appropriate because no kid will download it to begin with. I hope not anyway. Also the anime is complete dogshit, don’t watch it. Play the game, the story is more than worth it if you’re willing to put in the time.
The Plot of Girls Frontline (The Game) Feels like a call of duty campaign like they got American Task Force 141 (AR Team), Russian version of the Ghosts Faction (Task Force DEFY), German Atlas Cooperation (Paradeus) and Russian Shadow Company (K.C.C.O)
@@SimplyFwoxYou're welcome. It's difficult today to find a person that takes gfl seriously and not like a thirsty casino or smth. (Btw good that even the costumes are modest (those that you shown at least) and that there isn't much fanservice like you said, which is unusual)
Interesting to hear opinion from someone isn't a fan of the game, and for that, I would say, fan will like it as it a better way to see the story instead of visual novel (although to fully understand the story, one should read full story in game), but non-fan maybe not like it, as it's not the most impressive thing. Summarize the story of doll's song in one sentence: "Are those dolls just do whatever they want?" And the story can be seem like this: Reunion, separated, reunion, separated, PTSD, separated harder. So for now the story is nothing that much impressive. As one said down there, the start of the story is boring because that part of the story was written by an artist, not a writer. I haven't done an analysist on the story structure, but for 90% that isn't ideal structure for a story, as the part that need to be impressive is not impressive enough. Even for someone is a fan of the game, there are still some parts that is not very clear in intention. For example, those "characters that are not really important" are actually the player and different style of playing the game, namely "how you put your time into the game". While the appearance of those guys all have contribute to the actual story of the game, of course it still feels really subtle due to they don't have much appearance time. But, still, it really hard for the author to further explore other elements of the GFL world. Even the female commander, he says that if it doesn't have to do with the story then her backstory will not really be included. That is said, then the appearance of those other guys are hardly a thing The time for one chapter is really long, usually 2-3 months. That is for general. Minor detail like M4A1 being inefficient is depends on how people see it. One can say she is a crybaby cinnamon. But the way I see what they want to depict her is an intelligent one who have too much choice, she ended up choosing nothing and rely on other decision, namely the commander. Later, she has to make her own decision and decide what she want to do. An interesting way for a robot story, as you don't just "hey, I was born yesterday, now I'm in the battlefield". If you create them, you also have to teach them a way to live and survive in human world.

Didn't the artist for the slice of life mangas went on to make those certain DEFY comic books? 😏
I don't know and I don't think I want to know 😬
Uh, what?
I have no idea what you're waffling about.
AK-15 was the best.
NO WONDER THE ART STYLE LOOKS FAMILIAR...
Enlighten me
I loved playing the game! great to see it has some mangas
There's a manga? (Honestly, I remembered hearing rumors about a GFL manga, but I didn't bother where I should find it.)
AR-TEAM is called Anti Rain Team just syk.
Finally a good and adequate review
Thank you for your kind words!
