I’ve had it for a couple of years and was very satisfied , then one day I lost it at work, that was about a year ago. I tried out a lot of different ballpoints in the meantime (FC Essentio, Leuchtturm1907 Drechgriffel, Lamy TriPen and others) and in the end I just bought the Lamy 2000 again. There is something with the design of this pen that makes it a perfect fit for my hand. I like the weight, I like the material, I even think my handwriting gets improved because of the weight-ergonomics combination in this pen. I like it.
I actually prefer the looks of the ballpoint than the fountain pen. I got one a few years ago and I have finished two refills. The refills work fine but they aren't something special.
Yeah, M16 is the one and only reason why I don't consider buying this pen. I bought 5 different M16 refills just to test if I wasn't unlucky with bad batch but no, they all skip and look pale. I handled 2000 ballpoint couple of times and I like it, it is pretty much shaped like old Rotring Freeway ballpoint but Rotring is all metal and uses Parker G2 refill. But as an alternative, it is actually more expensive than Lamy!
Great video, thanks! I've had this one for a few years as well as another Lamy ballpoint, I've always been quite happy with the refills. What do you consider to be a really good ballpoint refill? Also, my clip is a bit loose, it is able to go a few milimeters to the left and to the right. Could this be solved by unscrewing the top?
Sawasdee krub (Hello), Now I’m deciding between 1) Lamy 2000 Ballpoint (or there are better Lamy Ballpoint than 2000 to recommend me, it would be grateful 🙏) 2) Lamy CP1 tri pen Between these 2 choices, you think which one’s better? Although I love my 2000 Fountain pen so much, I must use it in some document such as patient chart or some that should be aware of washing out. So I need a great ballpoint pen for this reason. I love the German writing instrument esp. Lamy, Rotring (but much more prefer Lamy despite it doesn’t fit G2 refill. Sorry for talking too much But I’m really obsessed about picking a writing instrument. Thank you krub 🙏 Edited: I just know that Lamy has capless Rollerball pens so that makes me decide harder😢
The clip feels a bit loose. It actually moves around if you apply some pressure on either side. At the shop they told me that this is the case with every Lamy 2000 ballpoint because of the fact that they are handmade. I am not convinced that this is completely accurate. Even though it annoys me, I ve decided to buy the pen because of the overall experience which ,despite that flaw, is way better than originally expected.
Lamy M16 alternative with a bit of DIY: ruclips.net/video/dwUy3FvSyD4/видео.html In the video, the pen tip of safari seems a tight fit to the BRFN-30. But I find it alright on mine. Hope it helps. Good video!

I usually watch fountain pen videos but being a person into pens overall I find myself watching and enjoying your videos more and more.
I have the ballpoint, the fountain pen, and the rollerball versions of the Lamy 2000. I always reach for the ballpoint.
Monteverde makes a M-16 gel refill.

Same here. The refill isn't that good, but I just like the pen a lot because of the beautiful design.

Do you think you can use a fisher space. Pen refill instead of the proper one?
Do they make different point sizes in their refills

I managed to get one cheap and I really like it.
Not a popular ballpoint as there are very few videos on it. Have you tried the Monteverde Soft Roll ballpoint refill?
Yes. Soft roll is ok. Not my fav. Can be a bit draggy
Are u sure you are left handed? I write like that when I use my left…
Pretty sure.

Thanks@@unsharpen !
They're assembled by hand, but the parts are machined.

I’ve cracked a tip with something similar but I’ll try it!
First one here
I would like to get one of all the 2000 line.I began with the fountain pen and this one seems like the perfect candidate for next.
Yea it’s a great line. The ballpoint has a lot of fun variants too
