    2010 was the first year I competed in drum corps so it’ll always have a special place for me.

      Same. A tough but extremely rewarding summer.

    I started taking drumming seriously around the 2010 season.
    That second bluestars video is definitely one of my favorites from that era.

    What an absolute beast for making a snareline without ever playing snare. Wow.

      I'm curious if he would be interested in being a guest on the podcast. I'd love to hear more about him.

    Marched snare in 2016! Would be cool to hear you guys talk about how the program changes after Eric Shriver jumped in

    Just watched the growth from bluecoats 09 to 2010. Metropolis is one of my favorite shows ever. The drumming remained specifically bluecoats though. If you notice though its like a rcc feeder(bluecoats and blue devils) but i think its more of a rodger carter thing. The respect that guy has is amazing. I watched that doc on the 1999 bd that he was tech for and it was what i would imagine it is now when your tracking. Just amazed.

    Can you tell when I got into drum corps?
    A *few* requests 😅
    These groups during the following years were super important to me and so many others that came up during that time. Let’s show the kids now where their role models got their inspiration!
    Phantom 07-10
    Bluecoats 09-12
    BD 06-12
    Cavies 08-10
    Random requests:
    SCV Tenor Ensemble 1992, 2005
    UNT Snare Ensembles 10-14*?
    Any other iconic I&E...
    Thanks for the fantastic content.

    Would love to see some cadets 11' or some more wgi lines like X 10' or 11' or some X 18' with the homie Ryan E !

    Love this podcast and channel. I would first request Cavies 2000... And I know this is random and a whole different animal but I want to see former DCI line guys react to drum set guys. Particularly tech death drummers... Guys like David Diepold and Sebastian Lanser. Incredibly technical, musical and fast.

    I marched Blue Stars too. I marched contra in 2000. But, I didn't finish the whole season. 2000 wasn't the best year for me to march.

  • @Luke-gw2qg
    @Luke-gw2qg 3 года назад +2

    So Mr. Mike, you marched Blue Stars 2010 and Bluecoats 2012, where did you march 2011?

    • @agedoutpodcast
      @agedoutpodcast  3 года назад +1

      I marched no where. Decided for money reasons I could either March drum corps in 2011 or Rhythm X in 2011. After WGI finals in 11 though, I did reach out to Jonathan Leslie (center at stars) to see if they had a spot for me. They had just finalized the line so it didn’t work out. If someone had gotten hurt, I was on deck to fill the hole though.

      I see. Maybe a Rhythm X 2011 review video in the future? Since both of you guys are in the group.
