    This video came on my recommendation and I was blown away at what talent you have for such a small channel. You earned yourself a subscriber. Keep steam rollin' man!

      @Skid Blaster Thank you! I put a lot of effort into these videos. I don't do it for the views - but instead I do it because I just love putting the videos together. Check out some of my other fishing videos if you have a chance!

    Your raft is very efficient and, having been on it, extremely easy to fish out of. Pretty impressive. 😃

    Good thinking with that saw.

      @Barney Ewing Some day it will save me or at the very least save me a BUNCH of time on the river. I had to pull a raft over a downed tree this year that would have been very handy to have the saw.

    Love the vid as always. But thought of a big Question.....how do you, get back to the Start? In this case...your Truck? Any 1 way... Raft, Taxi service up there?

    • @HaightsWanderings
      @HaightsWanderings  2 года назад +1

      @Maumee River Fishin There are no taxi services. I have to organize shuttles for everything that I do.

    Just bought one of these rafts but the xl should be ready in 4-6 weeks. Excited to fish with it. Was looking for different set up ideas.

      @Matt N I hope you love the Hooligan. It's my favorite craft to be on the water in. I have a ton of videos fishing out of it - check them out and drop a question if you have one! Subscribe if you like my style of content. Peace!

      @@HaightsWanderings do you ever wish you had better oars? I was thinking about the sawyer dynelight shoal cut oars. My brother has those on his drift boat and likes those but the problem is that they’re just shy of a grand. Hard to believe they’re worth a thousand dollars.

    • @HaightsWanderings
      @HaightsWanderings  Год назад +1

      @Matt N Yes. I do want better oars. However, I beat the snot out of my oars as I am in shallow tight stretches of water. I don't think more expensive oars would handle the abuse as well.

    Bananas are bad luck on boats lol
    Comes from the banana boats that would be packed so heavy that they would capsize.

    • @HaightsWanderings
      @HaightsWanderings  3 года назад +2

      @Ford Prefect I've never heard that version. I always thought it had to do with either banana spiders or also the chemical that is released that ripens produce faster. Very interesting!

    Awesome video! I've been rowing a raft for a year now and am getting some great ideas off of this. What straps are you using to hold your pump?

    • @HaightsWanderings
      @HaightsWanderings  2 года назад

      @Michael Collins Honestly, I am not sure... I think they are called Ball Bungees. I use them for a lot of different applications!

    Some great ideas i will be borrowing.. Is the hooligan self bailing floor?
    I just picked up a flycraft and looking to add exterior green LEDs to aid with mousing at night.
    Thanks for sharing

    • @HaightsWanderings
      @HaightsWanderings  4 года назад

      @Zach B. Hey - the Hooligan can come with the self-bailing floor, however, mine does not. I wouldn't need the pump with the self-bailing floor.. but I've heard it doesn't maneuver as well with the self-bailing. I have never tested the two but I only ever need to bail water when I go hard through big class IIs or small type IIIs. Water does splash over the front and then I pull off and deal with it so it doesn't weigh me down too much.

    Very helpful, and useful information. Getting the Hooligan XL in the next couple weeks, can't wait! How do I go about getting one of those HW stickers to tag my back rack?

    • @HaightsWanderings
      @HaightsWanderings  3 года назад

      @Dustin Hinds Right on! Very cool. HW decals are something I am working on right now. If you send me an email or instagram message me I could probably send you one.

      @balor7 The fly rod holders came custom-built from Stealthcraft.

    What are those moldable hooks that go from your frame and hold ur emergency pump and oar rest called? Been trying to find them for my raft

    What bins do you have for underseat storage?

    • @HaightsWanderings

      @Robert Mahla They come with the raft from Stealthcraft. I am not sure of the exact size. But, they fit really well.
