Amazing run! I knew i would not be able to hold on to it for long with you in the mix 😇 You said it all. #BJ24BB Stock motor, 6S, lets see were we get. 🎉 Love it, Thanks for joining I hope Chris gets well soon! 🙏🏼
That's a solid benchmark! Good job, local weatherman here has been drinking or something lol, supposed to be light and variable today, but its blowing 15+ lol. Soon as the weather breaks, I'll take the v2 out for a couple passes.
Hey Mr mad 2424 you should invest in a better spectrum radio that's great that the new black jack 24 is capable of those speeds I want to put a 120 esc in mine
@@PhilipLansdown Yes I need the new Spektrum iXSR 6 transmitter lol they look great. If you run 6s just know its just for show and tell. The electronics can heat up quickly depending on prop selection. Thanks for watching!
Killer pass bro for such a small boat! She was Haulin the mail!! Sorry to hear about Chris hopefully he has a speedy recovery and gets well soon! Nice job man!
Nice ! I am hitting 73mph with stock propeller I sharpened. I have installed 120 amp controller and hit 70s every run. I will need a propeller professionally prepared to hit 80. I have only been doing this for a month so still learning.🤦♂️🙂. Thanks to ironclad and yourself for posting videos it definitely saves a lot of painful learning.😂😂
Good one - that's a huuuge jump in speed compared to previous vids 📟🚤💨👀👍 Sadly, the 24" only came in stock "late summer" here in Europe, or I would have purchased it back in July. I did have some summer fun with the Recoil 2 18" and Dasboata Super 18 (hope Chris is well soon 💐).
Great job Mr mad mad King of the speed runs, you set the bar awful high for us want a bessss.. just been back into boating a month been watching all the videos I can absorbing information every night saving months of time learning understanding motors batteries trim tabs about being wet and dry can already see and on the videos their boats an mine, if they're set up right in the water all these RUclips videos are good.. good or bad you see the good setups and the bad setups can't get enough information is really been fun so far, been racing short track trucks now this is fun feeding new information in the brain to get the best out of my boats thanks for showing us what can be done with stock boats if you put in the time.. full trigger fulllllllllllll trigger
Yeah I have the spectrum dx6 rugged and it works great.and im not in a big hurry to change out the stock esc because im not having any issues with it and I'm waiting to see what pro boat will come out with next
I get what you're saying about just throwing more cells at it.. there's a science to getting the boat dialed in just right. I like the challenge, however. It's interesting to see what the boat is capable of, on the stock motor
The stock esc is not compatible with 6s. I had to use the dynamite 120 esc in order for this challenge. The stock motor could run on 6s if propped accordingly though
Nice runs man! To the comment of over-volting and tuning, kinda agree and disagree. The speed at the end of the day is all that matters. Land speed records aren’t critiqued on “well you ran this turbine” or “the record is only valid under a certain whatever” if you know what I mean. The only thing that matters is the mph, regardless of how one reached it. Some don’t have the connections to get a ton of test props sent over so if they reach 90 with a common prop on 8s, that is still commendable and a valid record as tuning to keep the boat down at those speeds still takes work. I would personally like this bj24 challenge have no restrictions to see what this boat can really do, be it 8s or whatever motor needed. Having restrictions on a speed record is pointless in my humble opinion. Keep on rocking though, love the vids!
@VetteWay2Fast Thanks! Appreciate that. This is a friendly boost battle with a few internet buddies. We're not serious about anything with this boat... just having a little fun. Heck if anyone wants to jump in I really don't care. This boat is small to be running mid 80s with. Lol. Thanks for the support.
Yea I hear ya, getting high 70’s with the firma 120 and props but considering going 8s cause what the heck. Half the fun for me is overpowering rc’s and fixing them when they inevitably break haha. I didn’t mean anything, just wanting to see y’all go 8s with this boat and shooting for the moon for inspiration :)
Should be interesting, will prob turn it into an airplane but it’ll be fun to watch lol. Do you have any recommendations on smaller sized 8s esc? Gonna try the firma 160 that will be coming out of the sonic48, but will likely require cutting some foam to fit.
I am going to challenge this. THE stock 90 AMP ESC. gets real crabby on 6S.( It doesn't want to initiate.) on 6s. It will also will not run cool with that setup. So, I don't know how you managed to get 85 MPH. I can't get that speed on 8S , on my M-41. I've gone over 70. That's it. And prop alone, won't give you an over a 40 MPH. boost. And even if you were to bump the electronics. 4000 KV. motor, and a 300 Amp controller, it would still be physically impossible to achieve 85 MPH. under 6 S. So, I don't know, what you actually did. But , under 6S, it would be impossible to achieve what you claimed. Sorry for the challenge. But, you need to show us, exactly how you did this.
Watch the whole video. I didn't have the stock esc in the boat. This was a Blackjack 24 Boost battle challenge. Stock motor and any esc you want to use were the rules. Others have got 82 and 83mph in the challenge too. search youtube for those videos. I used the old 120 Dynamite esc and ran the boat on 6s lipo. Thanks for watching. But watch the end and I show the blue not stock 120 dynamite esc and my battery wires.
@mark - It is definitely possible to get these speeds on 6s. I’m near 90 with a 2650kv motor on 6s. This boat is incredibly stable at speeds, the power is not the issue, keeping it on the water at this speed being so small is the challenge.
I was also looking at my own numbers. I ran out 48 mph. on 4S. STOCK. With the exception of swinging a mid -lift CNC.440 2.37 pitch. On 6S, I couldn't even keep the boat in the water. So, I am not sure what you are doing differently. Prop change?
You need to tune it by putting lipos as far forward as possible. I cut some foam out to run them more forward. It will turn like crap with the cg this far forward but essential to keep the front down at these speeds. Strut position is critical as well. Also need a 6s capable esc, really smooth water and a linear gradual startup
Amazing run! I knew i would not be able to hold on to it for long with you in the mix 😇
You said it all.

Appreciate that Brother! Love this little boat. Can't wait for your video on the new Disruptor!

Nice job, Mad! There’s definitely a few channels out there, pushing products for their benefit instead of setting up the boat first.
This!!! Lol. Thanks. I appreciate the support.
I'm in the 70s myself may have to give this a shot now

Nice job to your response back to the boat battle. 85 is moving for that boat.
I do agree with you as tuning of a boat.

Hi Mr. Mad. Do you think the stock motor and esc will handle 6S running it for 6-7 mi s time with a 6S 6.500 mah batt without any heat issues ?
The stock esc is not compatible with 6s. I had to use the dynamite 120 esc in order for this challenge. The stock motor could run on 6s if propped accordingly though
