Yah there was some MAJOR plumbing work done in the middle of this video, soooo simple. If you rework all those pipes, this is not a conversion kit or an easy install.

Plumber included.. . the box is HUGE...
Looks like you need to do some welding and purchase additional copper pipes that I'm sure would not be included in the kit.
Is the valve attached to any kind of wood for support or is it just held up by the pipes?
Hello Chuck. We typically recommend bracing to a wood backing or something to keep the valve secure in the wall.

Can we cap the tub outlet if its just for a shower

Will this work with new style Gerber?
Hello mjp8494. The video is for installing the Moen Chateau remodel model tub/shower, model L2369EP after removing a 2 or 3 handle tub/shower valve. Unfortunately, we are only familiar with Moen fixtures and could not advise on the installation of a Gerber product.
Yes but i want to keep my old 1200 cartridge and valve. I want to replace everything from the shower wall outward, not anything inside the wall. And I want a nice modern handle, not another stupid round plastic ugly knob. Is this even possible?
If the screws are at the bottom of the escutcheon plate at the 5 & 7 o'clock position, then you will need an adapter kit 145058 and a Moentrol trim kit.

If your existing escutcheon plate is held on by screws at the 2 & 7 o'clock position, then you will only need a Moentrol trim kit.

Chateau shower only--TL2368EP trim only or L2368EP includes Posi-Temp valve.
Chateau tub/shower-- TL2369EP trim only or L2369EP includes Posi-Temp valve
Eva shower only--T2138 or T2138EP both are trim only
Eva tub/shower--T2139 or T2139EP both are trim only
Brantford tub/shower--T2157EP trim only
The plate only is part number 178755.

Hello Gur. Sorry to hear that you did not find this video useful. The remodel video to convert a two or three handle tub/shower product to a single handle tub/shower is a pretty big project! The benefits of using the Moen Chateau Posi-Temp remodel kit include not having to tear down shower walls or open up the wall behind the shower to make the change.
but there are cutting and re-piping needed correct? If so. WHY WAS THAT SKIPPED?
