Nagara Style Architecture. We have lakhs of those and lakhs were destroyed due to invasion.
Man the lady was right Mahansar (and some surrounding towns) have amazing architecture. India has too much to see in one lifetime.
Very true, far too many places to see in India. In terms of number of UNESCO sites it's second to Italy. Actually India would be in 1st place unfortunately Indian government cannot maintain so many sites. Also not much private funding either.
Those spider legs are called Sangri and come from the Khejadi or Khejari tree. To collect it (Sangri) they need to climb the tree or use some instrument. The Khejadi is the state tree of Rajasthan, tree only grows in dry places. The Sangri vegetable dishes are a real treat in the region, and they are more expensive outside Rajasthan. It grows once a year, so to use it for the whole year they need to preserve it. Thank you for sharing such a treat to the eye. I miss my Rajasthan.

Very cool video. It really brings back memories. My wife and I travelled extensively in India in the 80s and we stayed in the fort, in the prime minister's house, second tallest building after the ruler's residence. Jaisalmeer is my favorite place in India and Rajasthan, my favorite state. So I'm really enjoying your video. Great stuff! Nice choice of music, it goes very well with the footage.

In Rajasthan most city were walled ( fort )city e.g. Jaipur Jodhpur, Udaipur, Ajmer, Chittor the list is long. Now Only with growth of population now it is out grown. Some city old walled are dismantle to allow growth.

Beautiful fort, its huge, a big town all around it inside. Those Jain temples are exquisite. Lot of their temples are made from marble. Wow Jaisalmer is the place to see.

The architecture in those temples are magnificent.
Nagara style stone Architecture practiced in Northern India. Basically carve the stone and assemble it like a jigsaw puzzle, can stand for 1000s of years.

Actually you will find some Hindu gods like Ganesh, Krishna in Jainism. There are some beautifully carved temples but you'll need to get a car and driver to take you there.

Gabriel should be head of tourism board for India 🇮🇳. Shocking that for a country that is diverse and beautiful when I last check it was not in the top ten popular countries to visit. That was shocking to see, the leaders of India have to do something to clean the country up which is probably a factor and promote beautiful places which many foreigners have not heard of.
The leaders of the country do have a campaign to clean up the country called 'swachh bharat mission' but its the majority of the people that fails to maintain these cleanliness standards resulting in so much trash everywhere.
@@kapow4 that’s because the majority of the people are uneducated and many living on poverty line. Shocking thing is a country much smaller than China has overtaken them in population. It’s harsh to say but the population control that China has taken decades ago should have been followed by India. So much population soon there will be flats built in jungles with tigers and wild elephants as neighbours.
@@jambudvipa1756 An Indian politician in the 70s named Sanjay Gandhi tried to implement birth control but this failed.
