മറക്കാന്‍ കഴിയാത്ത ഒരനുഭവമായിരുന്നു. ഈ ഗാന റിക്കോര്‍ഡിങ് സമയത്തെനിയ്ക്കുണ്ടായത്. ശാസ്ത്രിയസംഗീതരംഗത്തെ അതുല്യപ്രതിഭയായ ബഹുമാനപ്പെട്ട ശങ്കരന്‍നമ്പുതിരിയെനിവേദ്യമെന്ന സിനിമാഗാനമായ ''ചിറ്റാറ്റിന്‍ കാറ്റില്‍ ഉപ്പന്‍ ചോദിച്ചു''....എന്ന ഗാനമായിരുന്നു മലയാളചലചിത്രത്തിലേ(യ്ക്കു സുപരിചിതനാക്കിയത്. അന്നുമുതല്‍ എന്‍റെ മനസ്സിലും ഈഗായകന്‍ ഇടം പിടിച്ചു. മനോജ് ചാമക്കാലയുടെ വരികള്‍ ഞാനീണം പകര്‍ന്ന്അദ്ദേഹം ആലപിച്ചപ്പോള്‍...ഹൃദയം നിറഞ്ഞ അനുഭവമായിരുന്നു.ആ ഭാഗ്യം എനിക്ക് നല്കിയ ദൈവത്തിന് മഹത്വം
