Thoughts on the Ahsoka trailer?
It looks cheap (especially the loth cat). The leaked trailer for Andor's second season looks literally better
@@Kserks5015 I've watched both trailers and both look amazing, ahsoka has this star wars legends feel to it which I like ,sad you don't like it.

If the Sith didn’t intentionally sabotage the effectiveness of the battle droids, they would have stomped the republic
wait the did that?
The CIS was composed of QUINTILLIONS of soldiers,if Palpatine did not hold them back intentionally they would have crushed the republic composed of only a few millions
@@lonewaffle231 Everything about the clone wars was rigged from the start. The CIS needed to be a formidable force, but to still lose. The GAR needed to win the war, and betray their commanders and oft friends at the drop of a hat. The Senate needed to fall in line without realizing. The Republic needed to feel threatened enough so that Palps could justify seizing power to maintain "security". In the end he played both sides like a god dam fiddle.
@@lonewaffle231 Canonically Sidious both told the CIS high command to keep production numbers low and had them cache reserve fleets in deep space instead of sending them to the front lines. The CIS high council always intended on a diplomatic solution that they'd come out of wealthier than they went in, which is why even as Anakin was slaughtering them they were screaming about how 'Sidious promised us peace'.
In Legends Palpatine took a ton of funds away from the GAR and put it into his Death Star and the Confederacy (presumably) lied about their true number of battle droids. Palpatine is also the one that let Nute Gunray and the Trade Federation form the Confederacy in the first place via loopholes so it goes both ways

Most of the separatists had no clue that people like ventress, maul, savage oppress, and grievous existed. Or if they did, they didn’t know how cruel they were.
They separatists were right, the senate was corrupt and there was a sith behind it all. The republic was using their planets to exploit resources and labor for the rest of the galaxy with little protection or infrastructure being offered. They should have let the planets succeed and exercise their right of autonomy.
If the separatists hadn’t decided to embark on invasion efforts and simply defended what they had, I think they’d have gained significant support throughout the galaxy.
Except the Separatists didn't care at all about the Sith, and the only reason their movement (or the corruption in the Senate) existed was BECAUSE of the Sith making it happen.

The fact that this was the deepest scene in the whole season is nuts. Great scene and great edit tho!
and the fact that all anyone does with this episode is whine about Lizzo. I didn't even know who she was before this damn episode aired, and I still don't care. Loved season 3
@@M3RUL3Zexcept for the fact that he was living on a planet that was literally a direct democracy. The most democratic planet in the whole galaxy perhaps. And the New Republic had taken over by that point, one of the most democratic Galactic powers to ever exist.
@@aflickingbadger7489 Separatists didn't really care that they were being ruled by a republic in the Clone Wars (though this is partially because it was super duper corrupt, the New Republic is corrupt but NOTHING like the old republic). They're going off the belief - the belief that is shown to be at least partially true both in canon and in legends - that attaching themselves to the Core only means the Core wields all the influence while sucking the Rim dry. It isn't 'true' democracy. So if they fight against the New Republic, they can safely, in their own minds, at least, claim to be fighting for freedom and democracy while fighting another democratic group.

The Andor show featuring a distinct separatist faction in the Rebel Alliance was a VERY good decision
Was there one?I watched Andor an year or so ago, must've forgotten
"There are 2000 senators inside this building , none of them care about you"
Love the detail at 0:50 of separatist and republic flag waving behind palpatine
The CGI was immaculate for it's time, barely noticable at times 👌
For over a decade, I didn't know the clones weren't real actors.
Count dooku was a man ahead of his time, he was made for a civilised time
What a great edit, the true believers in the values and ideas of the CIS never truly gave up just like the old man they kept fighting as the separatist holdouts till the bitter end

I might love clones more than droids, but holy shit do I just live the CIS. From their ships to their army and ideals, they are just too cool.
Count Dooku was manipulated by Palpatine but if he ran the CIS on his own with Asajj as his apprentice they definitely would have won.

In an episode of bad batch we can see that count dooku have Lotted some planets and have a lot of expensive stuff.
anybody else love the phantom menace scene which give of this early 90s windows xp background of naboo which blends in beautifully with the grimy filter effect
Man after reading the novelization of revenge of the sith, and watching this, it made me realize how utterly sad and pointless Dooku was. He had big plans for what was to come. To then realize that palpatine never really gave a damn about him. And that he was just a place holder for Anakin. Seeing him be all proud throughout the clone wars to then beg for palpatine to save him before he was decapitate. Star wars can be amazing when it wants to. Wish that more love and passion is put into these new shows like how the fans do with these edits and fan films. Hell, its not just star wars, every other popular ip has been drugged through the mud.
Glory to the confederacy of independent systems!
Growing up watching the clone wars I always thought the separatists were the bad guys but now that I’m older I realize there are no good guys in war. Only death
No
no there is bad guys and there is worse guys
the only death's tha could count are the clones and the people the battle droids were instructed to kill... i didn t see the batte droids do any "genocides" on the planets they've counquered only suppres the people on them. When you realize the separatists didn't hate the Jedi order and clones but only the corruption controlling the republic, the sith. CIS true enemy was the sith. Makes me cry when i think about it.
Based as fuck, the CIS shall rise again!
I know im late to the comments but just imagine how amazing starwars would be if they actually built up the separatist faction into somthing this cool with this energy.
Imagine not using armies of disposable droids. So uncivilized.
J*dis after the army of genetic slaves commissioned with their knowledge by a sith lord (dooku) wich they used as canon food for years turn against them by order of a sith lord : 😮
Me in age of 80 when police shows up after I send pipe bombs to OpenAI HQ and burning Boston Dynamics stores:
Plot twist: neither the rebellion/republic nor the empire were the good guys, it was the faction they technically both fought.
The CIS were the good guys. They wanted to be free and independent of the Republic who didn’t care for the outer rim worlds. Only the core and mid rim planets received the help and protection of the Republic. The CIS merely said “if you won’t protect us, why are we here? We are better off protecting ourselves since we pay the dues and yet receive nothing in return.” Only Dooku and Sideous truly made the CIS look bad. If you watched the Clone Wars cartoon, you’ll see the CIS had a Senate of their own, it was small and personal unlike the Republic’s. The leaders had no idea what Dooku was doing on the battlefield. But at least the CIS didn’t use an army made up of clone slaves and merely used robots. CIS were the good guys and the Jedi lost their way and betrayed the doctrine of being peacekeepers.
Cope y’all CIS dogs are just another pawn in palpatines game
True
"But at least the CIS didnt use an army made up of clone slaves and merely used robots" ...so slaves then?
Man seriously try to imagine a fully (sidious and palapatone ) free CIS but still with dooku they honestly could have gained better peace and genuine independence
Original dooku was great. Feloni dooku and grievous are horrible
Ngl Star Wars need to have a series based around a Separatist volunteer or atleast someone who is still Loyal to the Separatist movement and its leading figures.
That old man at the start of the edit quite reminds me the famous Italian poet Gabriele d'Annunzio.
The droid army is kinda the perfect army for democracies. They win by slow bureaucratic process and industry alone, they have no actual bias beyond their programming. Yeah i mean they're the key really.
Being a child is when you are amazed by the feats of the Republic.
Growing up is when you realise the CIS have a point.
Remember the next time someone tells you the Republic would never do that, yes they would.
Republic: We believe in the freedom of all peoples of the Galaxy
CIS: Cool, so can we leave?
Republic: NO! *glasses planet from orbit*
"Give up? I never give up. I didn't give up to the corrupt Republic, I didn't give up to the Empire and I won't give up to you." 'You're a separatist.' "Seperatists is a prejorative term. I support democracy. Count Dooku was a visionary."
I support DEMOCRACY🦅🦅🦅🥶🥶🥶
Deep down, we all loved the clankers.
5 months later. This still is a banger of an edit. It won’t be long before the outer rim rises again!
i aint gonna lie if the sith weren't involved, i think the CIS would of had a good shot at high probability of winning. also imagine if the commando droid was the standard infantry unit the republic would of been destroyed
I think the cis would not exist if sidious was not around. And the empire would also not exist. All the people around the time of the prequels were losers. Only palpatine won
@@mikasieben5995 CIS would've been formed anyway. Maybe not the same CIS of Palpatin. But the problems that started the idea of a separatist movement started before Palpatine came to power. He only took what was already there and use it for his benefit.
@@ezequielrivera5480 Exactly the Sith weren't always the ones turning the cogs. The Republic was wavering because of its complacency for other 400 years. Plaguies and Palpatine just waited when tensions were high to take advantage

Man I'd love a series focused around a CIS perspective, showing the more ugly sides of the Republic and Jedi of the time. Would love for one of the main characters to be a B1 as well, and not just for comedic relief. I'd be happy even if it was just a short 2-season miniseries.
In reality, the Sep's would've been the good guys had it not been for the Sith giving them a bad name and committing war crimes.
I'll eat my own boots, if Filoni finally will decide to make show about CIS during Clone Wars (and Separatist Resistance during rise of Empire too), and you know what, I'll be happy to eat them.
