Open G tuning is G, B, D not E G, B , D is not a G chord.. E, G#, B is an E7th Chord. I never seen G tuning other than G, B, D, G, B , D. The is an E in the G scale but open G is not with an E it is with a D. A G7th would be add F so this tuning is wrong.
