Switched my seat to full forward for running/creeking since I picked up the SuperNova to focus on play...it really woke the R2L up for me - it made it so much snappier, balanced, and surfs way better. LOVING THIS BOAT!!!
@@WadeHarrison that was me in the orange nirvana that got back flipped in Matt’s video. Got a little greedy and came in too tight trying to catch that top eddy at the crux lol Definitely bringing the 1/2 slice next time though

@@WadeHarrison Thank you for the reply. I was thinking that even though they are so different in form with edges/planing hull vs rounded displacement, they might be more similar in practice. Interesting to hear they are actually very different. But, like you say, Party Braaap is an instant classic, so I'm leaning that way.
@@huntergipson3447 this was the last release of the year it’s not my favorite run but I always have fun there just because all the paddlers that go its a low water mank river but it’s really close to where I’m at so it’s easy for me to catch it and the lake that supplies it is a really good kayak fishing lake I hit that one a lot more then the river. The next release if you want to make the trip up hit me up and can show you all the best/cleanest lines out there..
It’s called the west fork of the tuck it’s in North Carolina Usa it’s dam release and has few releases throughout the year this was the last one of 2022
Good question I actually remember the lines on rapids from rivers i been on one time I paddled years ago but than can’t remember where I left my keys 20 mins after I get home 😂
I never thought that? I talked to the Guy at Duke power and ask if he could drop it another 100cfs to make it channel better it seems way too high out there... LOL I'm joking of course, and I had a buddy that caught it on a weird off release at 650cfs which is more than double, and he said it was sick and felt just right. I would for sure be down for a big water WFT if we can time it. And I seriously did talk to the dam operator to get his contact info to give me the heads up when its open up and flooded...
@@ShaneKayaks agree I actually said to the duke power I would rather loose some releases and add water to the others I don’t know why they only wanted 250cfs on that run it’s like 100cfs to low 300cfs should be the minimum 500cfs should be the max like they do like Tallulah have a low and high day makes total sense to me

It’s my do all half slice
Great video and I love seeing the mini gorge broken down with some play in there too!
Hey thanks for watching I have some bad lines coming soon

Great video! Looks like a blast of a run. You handled it awesome 👌
Yeah it’s a fun one
It’s funny that you put this video out today I just got home from a -9 run on Wilson in the ripper 2 it did better than I would have guessed
Awesome!
Saw that from shore hand of God last night (Matt’s video). Thought it was pretty awesome. One of the cooler saves ever.
😂 yeah I’m going to upload from my POV when get the chance
Nice roll to open it John O'Keefe
Comes rolling in from left field
Sick video man. Can’t beat a half slice on a river like this. It’s like having boof assist 😂
Yes so fun
Nice bolts bro where did you get those from.
Oh yeah the mix on that color is perfect
Did you move the seat forward? I'd of had that thing slammed forward, LoL!
No It’s all in the factory position I just added hip pads to it in the parking lot and went
What paddle are you using?

Amazing 😎👍, aswell that creek looks great....great video
It’s tight and technical and can be fun when it runs
@@WadeHarrison Just by watchin , really fascinatin...😉

Can you give your thoughts on Ripper 2 vs Party Braap?
Very different designs the ripper is more aggressive in every way the P braaap is a old school class in the making

“I’m here to take that trophy you got” 😎💪🏼💪🏼😂😂
😂 well I was like he is the world C1 champ he needs to have the best entry and he did the pressure of loosing that trophy 🏆 got to him
@@WadeHarrison 😂😂😂 haha man I hate I missed out on paddling the WF with ya looks a little better from this video than some gnar I’ve seen 😂

"It's a bad undercut", " Don't get in it"😂
😂 pretty simple huh
Looks fun..What run? Is there A river in the south that you don't know every line??
Good question I actually remember the lines on rapids from rivers i been on one time I paddled years ago but than can’t remember where I left my keys 20 mins after I get home 😂
May have missed it in the video but are you in an M or L here?
This was the Medium ripper 2 I wish there was a way of telling them apart from a distance
@@WadeHarrison Sweet thanks, and I feel that! Just picked up a M the other day and am loving it! Cheers
Now the big question, do you miss the Ripper one??
No I like this one better I still see a use for a ripper 1 but between this and the ripper EVO I don’t see it surviving very long
@@WadeHarrison but isnt the Ripper one a good riverrunner, even better than 9r2, why then the 9r2 still exists?
This run needs about double the flow
