    Very nice DIY project.
    I think the small cap can be sticked under the small container and
    After filling the small container with sand it may be closed with polythene cover or something else to stop cement going inside.

    May I ask for a small pot like 12x15cm, how long should I wait to take out from mold? Can I take out after 24hrs and soak in water? Or should I wait 3days to demould and soak in water for how many days? Thanks so much

    How did you get the glossy finish?

    • @signaturegardening
      @signaturegardening  4 года назад

      Most important thing for a good surface finish on a pot is to properly tap on the mould (for good 5-10 min) when the mixture is in semi-liquid state in order to remove air bubbles and with very less air bubble cement will form a compact casting with very good finish. Hope this will clear your query..😊

    Enjoyed watching video.

    • @signaturegardening
      @signaturegardening  4 года назад +3

      For reinforcement of such article.. First thing to keep in mind is to properly blend your cement mix..and after pouring it, tap your mould properly to get rid of air bubbles...
      Second thing which can be done is to place a metal wire mesh in the mixture which after setting will provide extra strength to the pot..
      Soaking your pot in water when it is properly set will also help a lot...
      And finally keeping your pot under direct sunlight for a while to get rid of moisture will do wonders...
      Hope this will be helpful for you..

      @TINKLE CRAFTS
      Putty is used for maintaining the walls & also for filling of cracks in the walls.. While white cement is mostly used to give a shiny lustrous matt finish to walls..
      According to me you should use only white cement for making your pot as it will be make a much stronger casting.. And if you have any other pot with cracks then you can use putty for repairing it..

      Hello vaishakhi..
      Adding sand to cement is always a good option... As it improves the strength of a pot.. But for small pots you can use only cement also.. Surface finish is much better in this case as cement particles are smaller in size..
      I tried both the processes in order to figure out which one is better..
      My recommendation for you will be to use sand also because you want your pot to be durable and long lasting..
      Weight of the pot is not that much as it is small in size...
      Nothing is unbreakable 😅
      But it is durable enough to last for long time..
      Do try making on your own and share your experience 😊👍
      And thanku for asking your doubts.. 🙂

      @@signaturegardening Thanks 👍🏻
      There r plastic moulds available in the shape of leaves & others. Can I pour cement into it & when it dries I shall have a ready cement leaf. Is it possible to stick leaves on a cement pot in some way?? It will look really awesome. 👌🏻

    Hello..i tried doing as per the video, the inner bowl just doesn't come out. Can you suggest a solution? I would like to make about 12pcs as return gift on my daughter's b'day. Thank you

      Make sure that your inner bowl has smooth outer surface and it should be flexible enough to help in easy removal of the bowl.. Also apply oil on the outer surface before pouring the cement mix..
      Let me know if this helps.. 🙂

      Yes meenakshi you are absolutely right..
      Chart paper will not work with cement pot.. I was just trying to represent the color combination.. And acrylic paint should be used..
      With lots of valuable comments like yours i started using acrylic paint in my recent videos.. Do check them out.. & thanks for taking out the time to mention your view on this.. 😊
