In 1988 I did a two month tour from April to May crisscrossing the country and islands with my FT500. I always wore jeans and a t-shirt and never wore my helmet (nobody wore a helmet in Greece back then). All in all, Greece was the most pleasant country I have ever travelled to.
Actually Most people still don’t wear Helmets in Greece 😂

Idk how it looks irl and ofc the video is edited and all that but its really giving me great vibes. It makes me think of the vegetation from skyrim, as if im watching someone just going through it, which also makes me more fascinated.

I did almost same route last October, weather was perfect.
After Meteora I continued to Lefkada for 5 days. Very lovely rides and scenery at Lefkada, highly recommend

Hydration and evaporative cooling are very important. I think I'd have soaked my jacket and pants in that stream before riding any further. Also taking your boots off and wading in a stream like that will help cool you off. Your feet will dry quickly and you can then put your dry boots back on. Also wet your hair regularly, even with warm water from a bottle it'll make a big difference when you get rolling again.
You're doing well, but I wish you could overcome the hot weather easier because it's not ending soon.
Excellent advice and so true. Last year I was sailing in the Med in 40°C heat, downwind so hardly any air movement. I was very close to passing out, but then I wet my tee-shirt and put it back on. That was so effective and a real life-saver! I just continued wetting it all day every time it dried out.
It is true that generally summer can get terribly hot in Greece. Things have drastically changed since the 80's and it's not that cool any more, which requires attention during exposure under the summer sun. On the other hand, while spring and autumn are the best seasons for motorcycling in Greece, winter although not guaranteed, can be a pleasant surprise. In the last two years I have done most of my tours around the country (not the mountainous parts of course) in the winter and the feeling was like the Mid-European autumn.

Greek have a very bautifull Landscape specialy when it comes to sunset. The Iislands and the ocean together create a beautyfull costelation of colors and mood. I was in the middel of April there. Fun fact, Greece love good Coffee, there are shops where you can buy Coffee in a old village are very moden and hipsterlike. Sometimes surprising and not what you expect in a old village 😊

Hey Miles! If you are still in the area, definitely visit Mparos Pass. The highest tarmac road in Greece, with twisties and trees all around you as you go up.
You got into linguistic and language teaching problems. I enjoyed. Sometimes we can have an overview just after everythig is behind us... when we are already older, out of the scool system. Take care and take your gear even if it is hot. You never know. Cheers.
I had seven years of Latin. My experience wasn't as horrible as yours but bad enough. I as well have problems with spelling and learning languages so the idea was at least I learn the grammar. Anyways I dropped it as soon as I could and did my Abitur in English, wasn't great but better and more useful. All that to say, I can feel your pain.

I get your Point. But both Types of Videos have to exist because the Videos are Not Scripted. And also sometimes the day does Not allow for another strucktur like today with the Heat
