I’ve tried learning regular crochet & failed. I saw her beginning Tunisian crochet video & I was actually able to understand & follow it easily. Now I’m making her fringe scarf for Christmas gifts. Thank you so much Toni for getting me into Tunisian. I’m hoping you can teach me regular crochet too! 😃
I love how easy it is to follow you tutorials 😍I've never tried tunisian crochet before but 3 mins into the video I'm like "why not just pick up a hook and give this a try" I'm glad I did! looking forward to exploring your other tunisian crochet patterns
Sorry for my bad English. Thanks for your simple tutorial, I, a 28-year-old geologist and my mother (we are from Turkey) learn and enjoy knitting. Thank you for your work as well as your tutorials. From my mom, she loves your colorful nail polish.
Hi all. I'm a 74yo yarn crafter and do crochet (regular and tunisian), knitting and loom knitting. Yarn crafts are addictive and fun. I usually work with patterns but check videos to make sure I am doing it right. So Toni, just to let you know, I went to Ravelry and bought your pattern. I don't care for fringe so usually do a simple crab stitch border. Just haven't quite figured out how to use it on the simple stitch chevron I am finishing.
I actually started as a crochet artist and moved into knits. I was so bad at it for a while, it took me between 15,000 to 30,000 stitches to start gaining confidence in the craft. I seem to be great with DPNs or massive straight needles
You are a fabulous teacher! Thank you. Which do you prefer the very most - the Clover Tunisian hook and cord, or the Chiagoo Tunisian spin hook and cord? I can't get both and would really like you to tell me which of these you for sure prefer. Thanks again.
I love this idea and the afghan. I really need a followup showing the changing colors every row with these increases and decreases. I know it’s a simple thing, but there are a LOT of them in this pattern!
I've worked C2C stitch and it is lovely. But I never realised that you could do this with Tunisian crochet. Gorgeous. And possibly my next lapghan project. Much love.
Thank you for this video! You put out so much amazing tunisian crochet content, I've learned so much from you! I'm sorry if this is rude, but I would love to see a video about general increasing/ decreasing in tunisian crochet - your thoughts on pros and cons of different methods (e.g. decrease by skipping or working 2tog), and also increasing/ decreasing in different stitch patterns (I've been practising honeycomb and lattice stitch from your videos but can't work out how to inc/dec myself!!) I've found all your content so helpful and would love to keep learning from you!!
What are the pros/cons to this version vs doing yarn overs and working two stitches together like you did for the bias baby blanket? I'm honestly curious what differences would result in the two methods. Thanks!
Was wondering the same. I'm thinking of just working the usual way of increase/decrease on a sample swatch and see if I still get a workable rectangle. Edit: I tried a swatch, it works fine using the original method. 🤷🏻♀️
brilliant! I've only done C2C for baby blankets because a square blanket is either a mega bedspread or a sad blanket that's never long enough to cover your toes. Now it can be a snuggle blanket!
I love both the instruction (great production/photography) as well as the energy, esp at the end. Your happiness is so contagious! Too much to watch at bed time! :-)
Have seen your other older C2C tutes and tried one last night quickly but am looking for other increase/decrease possibilities--going to make a baby blanket so gathering ideas and Tunisian is top on my list, a bias Tunisian in multi stripes or maybe gradient--not sure, but your tutes are always helpful (as well as your book) and what pointed me to Tunisian--my other love is overlay mosaic and those 2 keep me interested in crochet.
This is so-o-o-o cool! I do Tunisian crochet...and...I know how to C2C...this is the best of both worlds. 🥰 Thanks muchly for this video, and can't wait to get into it...I can see a scarf in my future. 🤗
I happened across Tunisian crochet on accident and didn’t realize I was doing it and having acquired more knowledge about it, I think it’s a”trust the process” craft because I always think I’m doing it wrong when I’m not😂❤
Thanks Toni! I love Tunisian crochet…it is so fun. But I always ended up with a wonky pull to the fabric. I guess working on the bias is a good way to make dishcloths and blankets. Do you have any tips to get square corners without working on the bias? Love you channel!
i've tried experimenting with c2c tunisian crochet in the past and i thought i had to tss 2tog every time i decreased. i had no idea you could just miss the stitch, it seems so much simpler this way
Is the increase stitch on this project different than the rancher shawl? As in the placement for each increase, between stitches or the top bar of a stitch? Working on both of those patterns for makeitcal and hope I am getting them right!
This is such a beautiful blanket! 😍 Toni's tutorial really makes it simple to understand how to do this properly. I plan on using my saved Temps from last year to make a temperature blanket & this might be the pattern I was waiting for!
Wait, I clicked to find out what the yarn was in the thumbnail and I don’t see it here! I’ve been hornswaggled! What’s the yarn in your thumbnail please it’s so colorful and pretty. I need a good variegated yarn. Do you remember gear yarn that was in the thumbnail pretty please?
The usual answer is interchangeable hooks with cords, but I think this would need a few long cords and connectors to join them all? Very curious how Toni did it!

Just acquired a large haul of Tunisian needles while looking in a charity shop in the UK I got very exited now I can give it a try! Thanks Toni ❤

Thanks Toni, watching you crochet is so relaxing! I’ll have to try C2C. Thanks for all that you do!

Always love the clarity you provide in your tutorials! Also, jelly of that hook - nice and pointy without looking sharp and scary
Thank you for this video! You put out so much amazing tunisian crochet content, I've learned so much from you!

How would this work with something like a graphgan with many color changes in a row?

I love this, oooh I want to learn so bad.. love the blanket and the colors.
Tony💜 can you do a video on how to care for the things we make according to fiber?
WOW I never saw Tunisian done on the bias. .but why not! This is great. Thank you 😊
I love your nails and the yarn in the thumbnail😍
Beautiful 😍 blanket!! Thanks for your clear instruction!! 🙏 🤗
Thank u so much I finally got it after 4 try’s can’t wait to do a blanket size how many rows before decreasing for throw blanket size thanks
So excited to start this! As always, love your nails !!!
You make it look so easy! Thanks for the great tutorial. 💜
Hello Malm I just subscribed.I can't waite to start learning from you.😊
Ok, you’ve inspired me to finally try Tunisian crochet. Do you happen to know what yarn you used for the thumbnail? It’s soooo pretty! 💜
Gorgeous blanket!
I happened across Tunisian crochet on accident and didn’t realize I was doing it and having acquired more knowledge about it, I think it’s a”trust the process” craft because I always think I’m doing it wrong when I’m not😂❤
Thank you, I was looking for an idea like this. great blanket
Thanks Toni!

Thank you. I love this.
Thank you for this video. I have my Tunisian hooks.

Does anybody know what the yarn is in the thumbnail for this video? The colours are so beautiful.
I love this how do you join the squares ?
Thanks

Thank you so much!❤! What a wonderful idea! 10:25
Love this idea for a temperature blanket 😍
That’s exactly what I was thinking too 😊
That blanket looks amazing!! But how on earth do you block something that big?
I am really curious to know the answer to this one too!
what’s the yarn in the thumbnail? :D

Thank you for sharing
Hello from Missouri
So, that increase is a full stitch?
I love c2c but I have not learned to tunisian crochet
Am I the only one dying to know what the yarn in the thumbnail is?! It's gorgeous
Where do I find your book.
Ontario Canada 👱♀️
Guess who just found her next project 🥳🥳🥳
Interesting...so you never actually turn your work when doing corner to corner? I'm going to give this a try.
That is a large afghan. How do you get all those stitches on a Tunisian hook when you get to the larger area? I can't imagine they all fit.
You’ll use an interchangeable hook to make it. A 32” cord on a standard Tunisian crochet hook will do the trick 😁
how would you go about making a whole blanket with this pattern? my hooks ain't long enough
The usual answer is interchangeable hooks with cords, but I think this would need a few long cords and connectors to join them all?
Very curious how Toni did it!
I’ve got instructions on the type of hook and interchangeable cord you’ll need. Just one hook and one 32” cord 😁
Terrific teacher! Thank you!
Omg. Please come hold my hand. 😂
i love u
Your video will not play!!!!!!! I'm so upset!!!!!
