  • A recent study has found than 1 million women in the UK could be forced out of their jobs, because their employers are failing to support them as they go through the menopause. And that's exactly what happened to Debs Wallbank and Lesley Salem - who both walked away from careers they once loved, after their crippling menopause symptoms went unrecognised. They’re joining us today to discuss their shocking experiences, before sharing how they’re campaigning for better support in the workplace.

Yep, I was told by a male gynecologist that I didn't know what I was talking about and I knew dang well I was in pre-menopause. My body was telling me so he didn't help me one bit and instead he wanted to put me on birth control and was ticked off. I wouldn't take them. Sounded like pushing products to make money to me and it totally discouraged me from ever going to another doctor.

My grandmother was a nurse back in the old days and she told me that women were committing suicide due to menopausal stages. It wasn't talked about as much and the doctors would tell women they are imagining things. Sad story!! I bet that didn't make my grandmother feel so cozy working in the field knowing that women were being dissed for something they can't even help.

You forget everything and not yourself at all!! you actually start scaring yourself because of all of the forgetfulness. It's that bad.
