Hi, do we need to carry the purchased items in the exact packaging we received from shops? I am planning to buy a luxury handbad from europe. So the product would comes in a big carton box and then a big carry bag of that brand. Do i need to carry or pack in the brand boxes, cartons and carry bags too? In what condition exactly the customs expects to see the purchased products? I know it has to be unused with bills and price tags intact but the outer packaging of the items it that necessary to carry as well? Any leads would be appreciated!!
Hi, @paulomisanyal4729. No need to show the box and the paper bag. You can leave them behind. You can show the customs officer that the tags are intact. They won’t even touch your item. They just do visual inspection. Hope this helps. Please subscribe to our channel so we can create more travel contents.😊

It not allow to carry on these perfume inside the plane and i have to shipping these perfumes in my luggage not hand back , i saw this lady told u that i need to show them after control immigration
Hi, @halwardi9933. There’s a separate customs check for items that you’ll put in your check-in bags and there’s another for those in your hand-carry. You’ll see it in our video. So for your perfumes, you show it to the customs officer after checking in at your airline counter, and then you drop off your bag at a designated area. You can see those areas in our video. Hope this helps.😊
For credit card refund do you actually have to go to the global blue kiosk? From my experience u just fill out your card number and put it in the mailbox.

I have purchased iphone from Germany mediamart for one of my friends. I have the bill and everything. Should i Carry the iphone box with me to show them? Can i get my tax refund to German back account?
Hi, @shiljovarghese9333. Do you have your tax form from the store? I suggest carrying the box just in case they ask. I think your only option is cash or card refund. But I guess debit card for your bank account would also work since you can indicate the card number on the form. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching our vlog. Hope you subscribe to our channel.😊
Hi, right now I am in frankfurt airport. My flight after 5 hours and I wanted to get custom stamp but they do not allow. They told me that if the product is in your hand baggage, after immigration you should go to custom but I am not really sure. Can you help me about that? Because I already a custom on bill at shopping mall not in airport. I am confused. Can you help me
For items in your hand carry, there is a customs office after security. You can have your form stamped there and get refund at kiosks of the refund companies also after security. The customs office and refund kiosks outside (area where you check in) are for goods inside your checked in bags. Hope this helps! Safe travels!😁

so if you don't have items in your carry on luggage, the tay refund steps are from 1-4, am I correct or do we need to get any stamps inside after security check ?
Hi, @nhuluong4005. Yes, that’s correct. No more stamps after security check if you don’t have items in your carry on. You also submit your validated tax forms and get your refund (if you choose cash) at the counters before security check/at the check in area. Hope this helps. Hope you subscribe to our channel.😊
Hi may I know the operation hours for Frankfurt custom ? We have an early flight at 940 so wanted to be sure if we have sufficient time for the refund.
Hi, Justin @teanchu. We found a source in the internet that says customs office is open at 7am. We don’t have a personal experience on this but we believe they should be open in the morning to accommodate those flying at the same time as you. We hope this still helps. Thanks for watching our vlog.😊

Hi, I just want to ask that if the items are in my carry-on luggage, I can do the refund at the counter before the immigration gate (after I checked in for my flight and check-in counter). If my items are in checked bags, I need to show the customs to get the stamp before the immigration gate, and after going through the immigrate gate, I can come to refund tax counter to get my refund right? Between Global Blue and Planet, which one do you prefer? Thank you so much for the video!
Hi, @duyanhxp. For carry-on items, customs and refund are after the immigration booths. For checked-in items, you’re correct - you can do the refund after the immigration booths together with the refund for your carry-on items. We prefer Global Blue because they credit refunds faster and there’s an app where you can check info about your refund. However, you can’t choose the refund company. The stores choose the refund company they’re accredited with. Hope this helps! Hope you subscribe to our channel if you haven’t already.😊
Hi, a question. I bought a shoe, and i wanted to claim it for tax refund. If I wear the shoe at the airport, is it okay? The same questions applies to the suitcase that i bought. Can i use the suitcase and then claim the tax refund? Thanks for you answer
Hi, @marcelinuskevin631. The rules says that the goods must be consumed/used outside the EU. However, we have seen a number of tourists wearing the things that they bought during their trip at the airport, and it was okay. For the suitcase, that should be fine. We did that several times and we did not encounter any issue. Hope this helps. Hope you subscribe to our channel.😊

Helo i study in moldova it's outside European union , i planned to go to paris via Germany and back If i purchase some electronics worth 600 dollars , should i need to pay tax when i enter moldova or not And i don't have credit card , will the purchase be profitable
Hi, @mohammedakmal497. We’re not familiar with the tax regime in Moldova but as a general rule, there’s tax when you bring into a country goods purchased from abroad. However, there are also threshold exemptions that’s why most of these goods are not declared and taxed. I suggest you research or ask about Moldovan taxation. It’s okay if you pay in cash. You can receive tax refund in cash as well. Regardless of taxation in Moldova, we suggest you process refund for your purchase upon exiting the EU. Hope this helps!
