+Connor Aitken Glad to hear! Thank you
Thanks for the lesson! I’m playing second guitar on this in my band. Very helpful. Dig the Tom Anderson guitar too! Wish I had mine back.
Happy to help!
Thanks mate. Great lesson. This song came on the radio this morning and I was like I really Need to play this and there you were. Thanks again mate
Awesome tutorial dude!
I really liked the way you kept it simple and easy and repeated just the right amount of times not making it too slow or too fast. Thanks!
Thank you for your comment! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Scott wow this a huge help thanks so much keep up the great work and keep rockin'
MR.J- SINNISTER thank you!
You are a very clear and patient. Loved the video. Subscribed already
+Pedro Rodriguez Thank you!
I really like you teaching method keep it up mate!! Its great how you stopped to let us play along, that helped me getting the timing to it right which I often struggle with.
Thank you Callum!
Thank you❤
Well done dude, you helped me out today.
clear communicator, perfect pace. (Sorry your left palm itches.)
I'm in love with his Telecaster omgfghesgeewas
Not a 'B minor' . The B chord is major or a B9 (c#note).
If you listen to the song carefully you'll actually get a dark vibe, that means he's playing a minor chord.... the feeling keeps 'blue' because you can hear something different than you expected - it's a wonderful modulation James Valentine kept to get this kind of "surprise" effect into the harmony
That's a hell of a B minor super-cool-wow chord !! just beautiful...
look wherever you want brother!
You are beast at the guitar im hitting my subscribe button right...now.
Thank you Mo!!!
can you possibly explain the rhythm for the right hand for the F#m and G# chords and how you're muting the sound in between the beginning riff?
THANKYOU!
guillermo badano Thank You! I hope you enjoyed that.
really enjoyed the lesson thank you !! any help on the solo though ??
Chernovsky M Thank you! The solo (if I remember) is a backward guitar track? Kinda hard to get that effect normally. I'm not sure if this helps, but I appreciate you watching, and I hope you were able to learn from the video. Thank you!
2018 : after 6x30min of official guitar lessons, this is too fast for my level, but seems doable. Someday ^^ thank you!
Sorry! I hope you got something out of it!
that's not the whole song. the only part I can't quite figure out is the bridge, clearly not mentioned here at ALL. it's in the mode of C#minor, but there are augmented and diminished chords in it, do what about those? not to detract from the parts you do here which are spot on but u can't claim is the whole song if you don't include the bridge
+shayne rush Hi there. You are right. I didn't remember to include the bridge. It centers around a C# bass note with some chord figures underneath. Maybe I can listen to the original and do another video in the future. I hope you got some value out of it.
+Scott Miller I didn't mean to sound like a jerk. a have a pretty good ear and I figured out these parts already. I only need to know the bridge chords, honestly. I think it's c# flat minor add 9 or something weird and then sus 4. still trying to figure it out.
that's why music is awesome. again sorry is I sounded rude
+shayne rush hey, you mind posting the chord progression for those of us who can't figure it out
+edflyer in the bridge I'm playing c#minor, then variations of that. 5th string 4th fret, 4th str, 6th frt, 3rd str 5th frt, 2nd str 7th. then back to c#minor with the 1st str 7th fret added and back the the other weird one. I hope im making sense with that.
great lesson! but hope you can help with this, is this in the key of c#m? if yes, in the key of c#m, the diatonic chords is G#m, B, F#m, are maroon 5 using chords from parallel keys or modes or anything else?
Any chance you could do some songs from MAGIC!s don't kill the magic album? Some good vibes in there ! 😊
+Demijone I will surely try to get to it! I'm launching my NEW online guitar course withing the next few weeks, but after that...Thanks!
How about what they are playing during the solo riff, You covered the coda's and verses, I hear a walk down in C#m
Thanks for your comment Jamie! Ya know, I didn't cover the solo section and you could be right about that. Thanks! Scott
solo?
Karole, sorry for the delay! I should do that. I'll have to add that to the growing list!
It's cool Sensei, but where is the bridge?
Hmmm...when I did this years ago, I guess I left that out!
Hay Scott it's jake miner see you Monday
Jake, I hope you've enjoyed these videos. More on the way!
Email...I don't find an email on your site, please?
Sorry, the correct email is: scott@scottmillerguitar.com
where's the solo?😢
Joaquin Espinar Sorry! That's a backward guitar solo (studio effect) so I didn't add that.
Yup, not very EASY when u include the solo in
the walk up is so difficult
Defy Skillz Yes, but keep at it!
***** dang, you reply fast!
I try my best, haha

im just interested, when did you start guitar?
Don't get it.
How can I help?
