@@talbehar Well, I'm definitely not in your league as a guitarist, but I am trying. Slash and Zakk Wylde are two of my favorites, as well. How do the stock pickups sound to you on the 256? I have the 401 with the 81/60 EMGs, but every video I have seen so far the 256 sounds pretty damn good as is.

First of all-thank you for your kind words! Since I have both, I'd have to say that they're both great but if push comes to shove - the EC1000 has better quality control and features better hardware for less money.
Hello. I feel it sounds great, but I had read in a guitar forum that the pickups on the Ec 256 weren’t good, that they had to be replaced by some Seymour Duncan. What do you think?
Judge for yourself. The stock ones sound great in my opinion, but of course, a set of SDs is always a good idea. I borrowed the one in the clip, but if it were mine, I think I would have stayed with the stock pickups.
Did you notice bad quaility of frets? Im changing my first electric axe because changing frets costs too much comparing to guitar's quaility. They were soft like butter. I dont want to step in the same... Mierda... Again :)
@@talbehar He meant, 50% of what a guitar sounds like is on the player i.e. him . he was hoping the guitar itself would play that good in any player's hand . LOL.
I played Les Pauls for years before I got an EC-256. All of the tone, less weight.
Yessir. I have an EC401, and I like it way better than Les Pauls I get to play here and there. You can see it in a couple of videos here.
Can you tell something about frets quaility? Don't they wear out and get flat from bending rapidly?
