I Fly a VERY SICK Patient To His NATIVE Home Village!

- This video was recorded over 2 different flights in a village in the Star Mountains of Papua, Indonesia. I kept the name of the village undisclosed to keep the privacy of the patient and his village.
This runway has 2 slope changes and you want to land before the first slope change. Later in the day, tailwinds and downdrafts make it a challenge to land accurately. The village is surrounded by beautiful blue water rivers that meander around lush tropical mountains.

For the Villagers You guy are the Angels with metal wings from above.
I was fortunate and honored to have been able to work with the Pilatus folks several years ago and, to this day, I still believe the PC-6 can do just about anything.
Keep them coming,
This pilot should write a book once he will finish this Indonesia stage of life. A natureza lá é bacana.. Krásné video!
Absolutely stunning. Thank you for sharing the beauty of your flying, I'm sure your corner of the world is very thankful for your service.
Wow - 8 second take-off roll.
Pilot yang hebat dan dapat di handalkan, sehat selalu broe.
Anggapan kami orang pedalaman. Seorang pilot adalah malaikat penyelamat
You’re a pro 👍nailed that landing right on the nose 👃 😅
I tried 😃😃
Очень красивые видео! Мечта так летать). Я пока только на параплане летаю)
om luar biasa mantap 👍👍👍❤❤❤ .
so beautiful... wishing you always happy landings
These videos are great. My travels are over, too old, there are many places such as Irian Jaya I wish to visit again, but I'm satisfied with what I had. While others didn't like the jungles and rainforests, they always seemed filled with life to me. Enjoy this time in your life, make it last as long as you can.
My sentiments entirely, After working in Zambia, life in Australia then sailing around the world for 6yrs, then another 6yrs of buying a yacht in California sailing to Australia & up and down the east coast to Tasmania. At 75 I’ve had a great life already!
Sehat selalu Om Kapten, semoga dijauhkan dari hal-hal buruk
Believe me, what a family heals when in the hearts, live the purity and forgiveness covered by mother nature.
This can be stronger than any doctor who works only for money and not for vocation. "For me medicine is for those who are willing to stay between the cross and the dagger!" That's it.
beautiful work
So good man 👌
Another amazing video! Keep it up!
Great show, reminds me of some of those pucker landings in Vietnam, and practice in the Philippines.
amazing how quickly he gets the plane airborne
Lovely video! More videos please
Caramba, não imaginava a variação de transporte que tem de fazer!
My sort of flying
Очень красиво ✅‼️
Semangat bang..makasih dari kami rakyat indonesia
Bien por el piloto, que secrvicio de caridad hace llevando a los enfermos y nesecitados de un pueblo a otro.
que belo emprego , lindas paisagens , da inveja .
Happy that you changed "its" to "his"
Thanks for pointing that out 🙏
Adorei !!!
Captain I enjoyed the video,I m u r subscriber can you consider putting more of cockpit inside angle thank you
Thanks Soodth! Will keep that in mind for the next ones. It's difficult when you only have one camara :)
Setup a patreon page for your videos, so you can fund a few more cameras for yourself. I think you do great with what you have.
Kabupaten pegunungan bintang......I think it's difficult.....maybe medical equipment and the cost of the cause.....from which hospital? Jayapura? or Oksibil?
Right on, from Oksibil 🙏
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
So, a Pilatus served as a pre-hearse?
It is used for what ever need there is ☺️
What's this kind of "bomb" below the wing? Is it an auxiliary fuel tank?
They are cargo pods in this case. Can also be fitted with fuel wing tanks.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Which airstrip is this? Are you flying for AMA?
Yes Greencorner, I'm flying for AMA. I see you worked for Susi a while back. Still aviating? I chose not to disclose the name of the village to respect the privacy of the patient.
@@APilotsHome thanks for your answer. I always like to know about places, regions, strips, airlines, aircrafts, but, of course, I´ll respect your choice. Other than that. Not me, in fact, but my son used to fly for Susi Air. He´s now back to our home country and flying for our national airline.
Hey man, why are they crying??? that bad was the flight??
Maybe children, which were feared.
4.23 why they crying ? bro .....
They are sad for the sick person I just flew in.
What is that protrusion with a red tip in the wing?
Maybe pitot tube (for speed measuring) or aileron aerodynamic balancer, i am no sure the tube shape is bit confusing. Maybe it measures the pressure drop around aileron to warn pilot before stall around aileron, which can cause incontrollable airplane regarding roll axis.
Hey Karthik, thanks for the question. That's a balance horn to give aileron stability and prevent a phenomenon called flutter. Cheers!
@@APilotsHome thanks! 👍
Great videos, but consider removing the music, I prefer to hear the sounds of the flight etc.
Besides, not all music is to everyone's taste 😁
Thanks for the comment, David. Will definitely consider it. Cheers!
Are they paying for the flight?..
Hi Mohammad. The patients usually don't pay for the flights.
@@APilotsHome Sorry..I am a bit confused..Are you working with an aviation company that pays you, or just doing it as a wellfare with your own aircraft?.. thanks for replying Capt..😊👍👍
@@mohammadshahrinbinshaari6816 I am employed and I am paid, like in a regular aviation company. Part of the company's profit goes into helping the community. The more money we make in chartered ops the more we can help the community, if need be. Thanks for you interest 😊🙏🙏
@@APilotsHome I am actually an aviation enthusiast..but my flying ambition unrealized and remains in my dream..when I hear the music, I can feel that we just have the same chemistry inside..regards from Malaysia..well done captain..!
This is an very expensive way of moving people and cargo. Who is backing this operation?
