Thank you. My front bushings were completely ripped. There was a loud clunk noise as the vehicle either accelerated or slowed. To remove the old bushing shells, I heated the tube for about 2 min and used a hammer and chisel (big screwdriver) to hit all around the sleeve. Each bushing was about 7 min to remove. To install, I did not have the bushing install kit. You might be able to rent it from an auto parts store. Whatever you do, Don't try to pound it in with a hammer. At about the 8 min mark of the vid, you can see that technician cut a chamfer (is that the right word?) to get the bushing started. I cheated and since the subframe was out of the car, I took it to the shop and they installed for $50. Working in the driveway I used a jack to lift the subframe into place. This is a very helpful video. The most valuable part, for me, is the torque settings. All together, this was a $90 repair. Plan you work space, time and tools. This can easily be done in 4 hrs (hiccups and corrosion pending)

The amount of rust I would just replace the whole subframe.

7:58 do you need the bushing installation tool? can you just whack it with a rubber mallet?

Tomorrow, I'm fixing my 2009 sentra subframe bushings and this video is making me very confident in what I need to do to replace it myself. Basically the same parts as a 2009 rogue since it's the same engine and transmission as in a sentra from the same year. And my cradle condition is very similar to the one in this video. Front forward bushings are shut and almost non-existent, and the bolts have the same amount of rust on them. I must say, you're pretty confident in taking those off without penetrating fluid first, good job for not having destroyed any bolts. I hope my repairs will be as simple as this video shows.

You didn't show how you pushed the bushings into the subframe.

And repeat in 12months time, or 8 months in my case... OR buy poly bushes from PS Bushings in south africa and fit and forget :) the OEM type bushes aren't branded and it's impossible to tell the quality, I got mine from E bay and they didn't last, it's such a big job go for the PSB (problem solving bushings) one, you won't regret it :)

May I know the name of the Bushing Removal Tool used in this film? Actually it was used for the installation of the new bushing. Thank you.
