- Llord Jackson and Buzz the Dog The Duke and Bradley decide to recommission an old Hay bob to turn some hay .What could possibly go wrong ??
Great video definitely brings back memories when i rode up hay with the same haybob but on a leyland 282 on my uncles farm happy days back then
Thanks fraser glad you enjoyed the video.
A flap on the Back of the jones would be a big help great video
Definitely, thanks Mike
Loving the videos, great tip with the red diesel have done our haybob with that this time 👍 Any hints on freeing the wheel shaft that goes up and down , was told you shouldn’t hammer them ?
Well I'll be dammed.! I still have one my dad bought in circa 85...maybe 86. Its functional but the rowing gates don't look like those! It's a pz . The old man bought it brand new. It got plenty of use and some abuse.! Greasing any visible nipple helps! You're doing well getting a shapely square bale from such light rows (reams)? Ps ..if you're baler rocks from side to side the ram might not be running on the rail correctly. You'll know that anyway!. Old saying about balers...the 2 best days you have with them is the day you buy em and the day you scrap em! Nice to see your vid squire.
A bit of History in action Llord. At 16 used to think nothing of bringing home 324 bales on old railway articulated trailers. Nowadays our contractor delivers Big Bales and unloads with the telehandler he pulls the trailer with.
Thanks for watching Trevor 👀, glad you enjoyed the video, stacking those Bales took it out of me lol
Hi LJ &B those bales look fantasic, nice and green, I can just imagine the lovely smell, it is heavy work throwing them around which is reflected in your face at the end of day.
great work
Barry
Thanks Barry, I not a fit as I once was ...lol
@@llordjacksonbuzzthedog.4845 I know that feeling, been stripping wall paper today, acking all over now, who invented old age?
Baler would have run better if two swathes had been turned into one, Jones baler one of the great balers from back then 💪 bales would have stayed in shape better if the chute extension had been on 🤔👍👌
Cheers Bob, yes definitely, however it was a last minute scramble to use the square baler ,We're lucky it worked at all .lol ....now the notters have broke 😮💨
the wheel broke off as the lock at the swarth divider was not opened when in the field. when opened it allows the rake to pull behind the tractor. when closed it pulls at an angle and that's why the wheel broke off
Yes Paula on further investigation your right ,the clip had sprung bk and closed it off wile doing the headlands ,I was too busy filming I never noticed. Thanks for watching 👀
Good video our haybob is identical to yours we've had it for years works well👍
Cheers Paul, this was an old onel that had been sat in the grass for years lol
We used to put 80 small bales on a Fergie trailer, unless we needed a big load and weren't going under trees then we'd put an extra layer and bring home 100. Stacker riding on yop of course. We didn't have a telehandler in 1979
The gates are for a later bigger pz 300, you can see the line on the top where it attaches for a spring clip, that hold on a spring loader nylon block. Also with the baler if you can see the time guards on the pick up, you going too slow. With a really light row like that id ramp up the forward speed, you want about11 "leaves" ina bale 👍
Bit naughty not having a gard on pto shaft on the jones baler .looks dangerous..
Hi there it does have a Pto gard on baler Its that blue one you can see in the video it’s says jones on it
Thanks bard aka who’s baler it is
Any of those hand pump sprayers l try use with diesel always does for the seals and it stops spraying😢
We used to get a 1000 in in an evening with a bale carrier and be at the pub before closing time😂
You can't beat a pint after all that 😉
will you get your money's worth out of them gates.
Baler needs a chute on, stop bending good bales.
