    wwe should go more "sport." show stats, and win loss record during entrances. We need advanced metrics like AMLPW (average match length per win). Hell, why not a wrestling fantasy league where you can build a stable of wrestlers and win discounts at wweshop

    Wrestling is dead. I enjoy this podcast but it's the only amount of wrestling I can even tolerate. I remember as a kid I was very miserable even when I could not watch 1 PPV, that's how addicted I was but now days you could not pay me to watch this crap. I don't see why you idiots watch this crap either there is literally nothing good about the product anymore and they constantly abuse you marks from what I hear.

      So true bro your so right I was the same when I was a kid if I missed a show or ppv i would hit the roof but now its bullshit, a lot of wwe fans need to look up wwf & ecw & wcw & watch the shows from back then till now, you would expect the show to get better not worst

    • @rickflair6372

      soowooboyifly1 your talking about one team of 3 guys that only bray is the main guy, I'm sure your a kid so what I'm gonna say may offend you but other than the wyatts tell me whos doing alot for the brand? The shield? When we was watching wrestling there was so much crews & teams & action going on, the tag teams where mental there where so much teams where as now look at the tag team division, there was like 5/6 gangs at one time in wwf days, there was gang wars in the locker rooms fights breaking out in the back there was sooooo much to talk about as well as going on so for you guys today as wrestling fans the wwe have robbed you of alot of things

    The WWE network kind of reminds me of when Howard Stern went to Sirius a few years back. Short term gains, long term subscription losses.

    Serves him right for all the G Rated wrestling he currently runs. Plus he's creatively bankrupt at this point. The angles and bits are nowhere near as good as the 80's or WCW vs. WWF Monday night ratings war days. Plus all these new wrestlers with these bad gimmicks. It's just corny and embarrassing to watch. Unlike the great gimmicks and characters of the 80's.
    P.S. Total Divas makes the male wrestlers looks so bad. It's embarrassing. Kill it. Kill it with fire.

    I knew the WWE Network deal wasn't all that great. Everyone claimed it was a steal but to me it was like a gym membership. It was like a gym membership because most of the time gym memberships make money because people don't go to the gym.
    I kept thinking, all these fans are gonna buy the membership and barely watch the WWE Network.
    There are a lot of angry WWE fans, there are a lot of WWE fans who feel like their intelligence is being insulted but WWE never cared because they were still making money.
    I feel like WWE thought they had every fan right where they wanted them.
    They thought the fans would easily sign up for WWE Network. To their surprise, a lot of fans are not in positions to be able to pay for the WWE Network or choose not to give this corporation any more money. (+)

    Boy... U wouldn't know it from watching WWE but behind the scenes, they're falling. I've noticed the constant solicitations during the show about the WWE network every time they send Hogan out there..I knew that wasn't going to make much money. Only the most die hard of fans would subscribe to it, and that's not a large enough demographic to sustain it. Or maybe it is and the ppl who subscribed to it just aren't watching it.. Even the fans at the shows seem lethargic and bored. It's almost always silent.. Maybe ppl are tired of the product. Wrestling isn't at the focal point of the culture like it was in the 90's. Other forms of entertainment have absorbed it's past viewers.

  • @dmore454
    @dmore454 7 лет назад +3

    TNA was pulling 1.2s and .8s on Spike only a few years ago? If they'd actually managed to sustain that, WWE might have finally had to treat them as competition now with the low 2.05s and such Raw has dropped to lately.

    • @starchygoblin9859
      @starchygoblin9859 2 года назад

      The issue with that logic is you're assuming TNA wouldn't have also lost a good deal of their viewership. TNA would've most likely dealt with a similar drop, getting about 500K viewers weekly

  • @Diomedes01

    Part of the issue is with Triple H and Stephanie. This whole 'Authority' angle is a tired cliche now. They are trying to recreate the Mr. McMahon, Stone Cold magic and its not working. Part of the problem is that this is no longer the Attitude Era and they other problem is that Triple H and Stephanie just don't have the gravitas that Vince had when it comes to being the boss. Mr. McMahon was a great character in his own right, but Stephanie and Triple H just come across as the spoiled brat kids trying to fill dad's shoes as opposed to being effective authority figures.

  • @DioGoodguy

    well, let's hope the quality of the product will now be better than recently.
    The only even worse WWE year I remember is the first half year of 2011 until CM Punk kinda made worth watching RAW again.

  • @damndisplace07
    @damndisplace07 9 лет назад +2

    Few reasons why the product has dropped in stock. 1) That stupid WWE network. Just as dumb an ideal as the XFL. 2) The loss of CM Punk, 3) Taker losing at WM 30, 4) Shoving HHH and John Cena down the fan's throats, 5) Promoting bullshit wrestlers like Seth Rollins over way better talent like Bray Wyatt or Roman Reigns. 6) Having the same redundant matches with the same wrestlers week after week (you can almost predict the entire show).

    • @ManchesterBurns
      @ManchesterBurns 8 лет назад +2

    Fast forward to 2017 and for the second year in a row WWE are so desperate for Network subs that they're giving away WrestleMania for free on the 30 day free trial. What a way to cheapen the brand name of WrestleMania! Mania should *NEVER* be given away for free.
    Yes it's great for the fans who want to save ten bucks, but I fully support Jim Cornette on this one.

    I think they did try the sports theme out in the WWE because I remember them putting stats up on Smackdown about wrestlers as they walked down the ramp. I think they made a conscious decision that the state taxes were too much of a sacrifice to go with the sports theme. Who knows, maybe it would've paid off in the end. And it is kind of interesting, because I feel like sports in general is fixed, and yet you have clowns betting on it, having fantasy teams as if it was legit.

    • @Xenomorph

      there is no chance (sadly) of another attitude era of wrestling. unless TNA or ROH ever started doing as well as ECW and WCW, they have no reason for their product to get rough and tough. and by the looks of tna, NO CHANCE. and this is why people say wrestling is dead. the past decade of wrestling has been a sad time to be a wrestling fan.

  • @Ranteal
    @Ranteal 10 лет назад

    Also does not help that polls show that wrestling fans are among the poorest people who watch TV, and thus are a target to buy many things that are advertised. Kinda a fucked up thing to keep track of, but it was part of why WWE does not get the same amount of money the big 5 do.

      Don't know exactally. My guess is they wanted to hurry it up and get it out (at least for the US market) before wrestlemania 30. From my understanding its not even avalible for those in Canada and Mexico.

    Both Caprican28 and Roborav are too quickly jumping the gun on this one,for prior to the recent $350 million loss for Vince McMahon and the WWE the Double Dubya E was having a pretty successful last few years via the big names they've signed and/or brought back to their good bases(such as Bruno Sammartino,The Ultimate Warrior,and Sting)and the breakthrough of various newer names(such as Daniel Bryan,Paige,Emma,and the guys in The Wyatt Family and The Shield) and the fans jumping onto The WWE Network is still a slow start at best(despite its rave reviews),for with both Global Force Wrestling and the Americanized version of AAA slowly getting ready to rise,the planned run of Roman Reigns,and the possible debut of Sting,I wouldn't count out the wrestling industry yet just because both this multimillion financial loss and the continued run of TNA(and its endless incompetence) ahs happened. Otherwise,Solomonster has perfectly got it right on this WWE financial situation.

    The real question is this did WWE lose $357 Million or was it over valued. I think it was a combination of both. I think this is just the delay fall out from the end of the 90ies 2nd Golden Area. All 3 big companies have lost a fortune or died now. I think some of it is due to the poor writing and story lines but I doubt you will ever see it regain that same value.
