I truly believe Lori Holt is one of the most gifted artists in the world. Also her organization and ability to teach are amazing.
Lori designs some of the most beautiful quilts and her tutorials make it look so easy to make and piece together. Thank you for being such an amazing teacher and artist. ❤
Absolutely agree!
Such a fun way to spend a Friday morning after a week of sadness. My step mother passed away & she was very supportive of my quilting endeavors. Some of the things that Lori showed would be a butter churn, a cookie press, oven pullers, ( to help grab things from the oven) a rug beater, & a laundry ringer. I pre-ordered the book... & absolutely cannot wait to recieve it. Y'all are an amazing team, & have fun. Kimberly, I hope everything goes well with your son, & safe travels to everyone! Happy quilting!! 🧵
@traceyhonig4461 I'm so sorry for your loss. I still feel the sting of losing my mom last year and honestly, FQS has given me something much better to focus on
Butter press, glove shapers, rug beater, butter bucket. I love all of Lori Holt fabric, patterns, books, all things Lori Holt thank you for all you do to make us happy🙂
Beautiful quilts and enjoyed every minute of the show. Kimberly and Lori, congrats on your special and long lasting business friendship. Thank you and to FQS team. Guessing items: cookie cutter, glove shapers, cheese churn, rug duster, and a laundry clothes ringer (attachment).
Lori and Kimberly, you two make a great team! To see what you two have accomplished in the last 10+ years is truly amazing and inspirational; taking what you love and turning it into something that positively affects people across the globe. My guesses are: butter mold, salad tongs!, butter churn, rug beater, pasta maker? Bless you both!
Another beautiful livestream, perfect way to spend the morning when it's already over 100 outside here in AZ. Just ordered the Hometown Holiday cross stitch pattern and can't wait to get the quilt book. Thank you, Lori, Kimberly, and FQS team for doing what you all do for us! Butter mold or stamp, gloves dryer, rug beater, pantry bucker, wringer washer top. Prayers for Kimberly's son's surgery and for the family.
Can't wait to make some of those quilts! Beautiful! The antiques were a butter mold, glove display pieces??, Firkin bucket, rug heater and a clothes wringer. Fun floss tube, ladies and gent! 😊

I always say Lori Holt is the most talented, creative and visionary artist and designer in the quilting, crotchet and cross stitch community. Her sense of color, placement and dedication to representing her ancestry is matched by no other
What is the interfacing Lori talks about using instead of batting?
Lori is an amazing one of a kind gifted artist/maker of all the things! LOVE that she is helping to keep the “vintage “ crafts alive. That’s a lovely butter mold, glove stretcher, butter/cheese bucket, rug beater, clothes wringer.

Can't wait for the book!! So much work done by so many people to bring it all together. One of the first things I sewed as a little girl was a prairie dress and bonnet
with the help of a neighbor. I've been hooked ever since and not slowing down. 1. butter press 2. glove form 3. milk pail 4. rug beater 5. clothes wringer

I believe these vintage items to be a cookie press, glove dryers, rug beater, milk bucket, and a laundry ringer.

Fun! Biscuit cutter, glove form, water bucket, rug beater, clothes wringer! Love all the quilts! Lori amazes me that she never runs out of great ideas!
Oh my gosh! I still have so many quilts by Lori I want to make. My husband asked if I was done spending for the year and now I’m positive I lied to him!!! 😮😅 I know a couple things and guessed on a couple. Linen ringer I knew. Butter or cookie press. The ‘salad forks’ looked like something to put gloves on but it was missing a thumb. lol The wire one is for beating rugs. This was so much fun to watch! I cannot wait for your book to come out. I know I’ll make all the table toppers, the Americana quilt, and will likely make small versions of the autumn leaf, and ALL the winter quilts. Likely will make many spring and summer quilts too but there were so many I can’t remember them all. 😂 Thank you for all your inspiration!!!
Wow! This was fun! While we live in different parts of the country, I feel the family history Lori speaks about. My family were Scottish settlers to the Western North Carolina mountains (The Great Smokies) over 300 years ago. I'm in love with the log cabin, it looks so much like what would have been and what people now replicate for vacation rentals. I can't wait to lay a black bear (stuffed toy) on it! The first thing Lori showed was a butter mold...I still have some of my grandmother's. The last thing she showed was a clothes wringer - to wring the water from clothes after they were washed. I've seen them attached to the side of the wash tub.
What a wonderful live show! And such beautiful quilts. Thank you to everyone for bringing this out to the rest of the world.
Great video! Wow! Such cool vintage items….rug beater, ladies glove forms displays etc, biscuit marker, and either a butter churn or an ice cream maker, I really couldn’t tell! Awesome props!
Oh my, so excited! Lovely quilts! Enjoyed this video and cant wait for the book! Love u two, looking good ladies!
Thank you for this live stream…what an inspiration Lori is in my little quilting world. As far as the vintage items, I used to own the last one - the wringer of an old washing machine. Another one I think I know is the rug beater? I have quite a few antiques around my home but had to downsize quite a few things when we moved 5 years ago; including letting go of my wedding dress (50 years old). Thanks again for all of your designs - my quilt room is definitely Lori Holt inspired .
I only know the wringer. Thanks for another great live! I love seeing Kimberly and Lori together. Lori has such beautiful quits and fabric and can’t wait for the new book!
A fantastic live stream with you both. Very inspiring and lots of fun as always. Your friendship is wonderful to see. I’m looking forward to your new book.

I have several of the same antique tools in my home plus a few more. butter mold/ press, glove forms for drying or stretching gloves, sugar bucket, rug beater, wringer
What a wonderful live, thankyou. Third item is a paddle to dust blankets or rugs and fourth one is a ringer off an old washing machine. We called it a mangle. Love the quilts Laurie can't wait to order the book, wish I had the funds to buy the 2 fat quarter bundles.

Such a beautiful trunk show. So many projects that I want to add to my list. All of the table toppers are adorable!! The antiques quiz cracked me up. I believe they were a butter press, glove forms / blockers, a bucket for a churn, a rug beater, and a mangler for the top of the washing machine. Looking forward to the November release!!
I love everything that Lori creates and her videos on You Tube are so helpful. Kimberly does a great job as well. Can’t wait for this book.

Do I NEED another quilt book? Nope. Am I gonna get this one? ABSOLUTELY! Have already preordered ☺️. I love pretty quilt books and Lori’s by Fat Quarter Shop are the best, can’t wait to get started on some of these lovely quilts. Some of the items Lori showed: rug beater, butter press, clothes wringer, forms for gloves.
What a great day to be home and stitching! Gorgeous, beautiful lovely and all the things! Oh that first one is a butter mold or press. Mt Grandmother made her own butter and we always used those. She also let me make pies and I would press the dough in the mold and cut around them for very small pies! Love it all and a huge congratulations to all involved in this gorgeous book!❤ we used the second one for milk from the cows, 🐄 maybe the 3rd is a beater for outside laundry? I didn’t get a good look at the very last item but it could be what they washed clothes with, a ringer maybe? Now I need to know! 😂😊
Thank you Kimberly, Lori, and FQS team💐
Thank you for the "quilt show" it helps me decide which quilts I would be interested in making 🌸 the 5 items by my guessing are 1) sandwich or mini pie forms 2) Ring holders 3) sewing basket 4) quilt beater to remove dust and such 5) clothes ringer to remove water after (hand) washing. Not sure I'm right but it was fun guessing 😁 thank you for all you do to help bring quilting to all of us- God bless you 🙏🏻👑✝️💗

Thank you so much for another awesome Lori Holt video. I am so excited for this new Prairie Home collection and book to come out! My guess is a cookie cutter or biscuit cutter, rug beater and a clothes ringer.❤
This is the best video of the year! Each and every quilt is special and a "must stitch." I'm guessing on some of Lori's antiques but I think they might be a cookie press or mold for something, glove stretchers or dryers, a sewing basket, a rug beater, and a laundry wringer. This game was fun!
The quilts in the book are so beautiful. My favorites are the Prairie Blossoms, Prairie Lillies, Prairie Springtime, Prairie Charm and, well, I noticed my list is growing really long, so let's just say I love them all!
I need this book now!!! Beautiful. Lori, you are truly a talented person. And you get so much done. HOW????

Lovely video. I just shared with my husband that in my opinion, you two ladies are the most creative, organized, detailed, professionals that I know. Impressive!!! Lori, when you were speaking about your conversation with your "quilty" grandma and establishing a name for business, I became teary eyed right along with you both!!
Funny story; I am an antique (vs vintage) collector and I have those same antique items you showed; many have named them correctly. Going to buy your book and make some of the projects you have shown. Thanks for the video!!!
I. Can. Not. Wait. for November when this book comes out! There is not one quilt I would not make! Loved this trunk show! Hats off to Lori Holt once again!

I had to catch the replay. What a wonderful video! The quilts were beautiful. I think you had a butter mold, part of a butter churn (the bucket), rug beater, glove stretchers, ringer for washing clothes. I remember my grandmother's ringer washer which she would never let me use even when I was grown. How fun you still have these. Thank you for having us in your home Lori. Oh all the vintage things. There was a cookie cutter, glove dryer wash ringer to get water out of fabrics, and a butter churn? How fun, great you tube. What beautiful quilts!!❤
I did a green "Burgoyne Surrounded" for my daughter one year so, I Love your version, Lori. Also, all of the quilts have given me some ideas for my local guild. I'm excited about this! Butter press, rug beater, wringer for wash tub, glove form, bucket - not tall enough for a buttern churn.
What a fun time! I think the last one is a mill of some sort maybe an apple basket as well. This was really amazing. When my older daughters went to our Church’s trek program I made bonnets and skirts. They are now in their 30’s and I still have those bonnets and skirts. I will be sharing them with my granddaughters to play dress up with or even for their trek experience. Sounds like Lori has amazing Pioneer history. Would love to hear her families stories.
A cookie press or butter press, butter churn (storage for after the butter is churned), rug beater, washer ringer, glove forms. These are what my grandmother called them, but she didn’t always get names correct. This was so much fun to watch and I can’t wait for the book to come out! Planning to make all of the seasonal toppers!
Great video enjoyed it very much. Lori I love all of the quilts especially the grandmother ‘s bonnet it reminds me of my grandmother. She always wore her bonnet when she was working in her vegetable garden.Matter of time I have one of her bonnet in my sewing room.i am going to have to make that quilt 😊 I also love the log cabin ones! I think the first item was a butter press, the second one was for mending cloves, the third was a rug beater, and fourth a clothes wringer.

Ok to name the antique items. 1. Sugar cookie press, 2: glove stretcher, 3: milk bucket, 4: quilt scatter to get dust out of quilts, 5: wringer for wash. Great video. I am going to reserve my copy.
