Love your enthusiasm and excitement! Thanks for such a thorough and interesting walkthrough. Your 16-bit game soundtrack recreations are right on the money!
Yes yes yes and the added option that you can preview the presets with the keyboard needs to be updated to VHS. Love this and brings back FAR to many memories of my Mega-Drive! Ahhhh. 👍🏻
Thanks for the review ❤, £2.49 bargain! Sits nicely on the iPad next to VHS Synth, which was also £2.49 and I bought after watching your review. Why do I keep wanting a MacBook when music apps are so cheap on iOS?
I wish I could get this on my mac. My husband wants to use this but he uses android phones and I only have a really old ipad that won't run it. I've got it on my iphone but he does a lot of his music while I'm at work and I can't leave my phone at home.
Love AudioKit but don’t think this is for me. It looks very complete though, and the price is phenomenal. So well done to them for making their fantastic software attainable for everyone, even those on a budget.
This looks very interesting, but I'm not sure about the iOS/iPadOS only thing. Do you know if you can run this on an M1 Mac as well? Since most apps can if the developer allows it here's me hoping for it.
If you use audio units often in your projects, I recommend a few other DAWs. I know GarageBand is free, but these are often on sale, and are a fraction of the price of a PC/Mac DAW. In my experience, they offer better stability with audio units. They are: Cubasis BeatMaker 3 NanoStudio 2
AudioKit apps are a bit of a mixed bag, but their best by faaaar is SynthOne. Bass 808 is the second. The rest range from meh to ok. In my humble opinion. But for all the meh apps, SynthOne is a beast.
Synth one is still one of my favourite apps ever. Word is Audiokit are working on re-creating some of their older apps in the same new code Saga Synth uses. Fingers crossed for Synth One-2?
@@TheChameleon2008 noo :( not what i meant. I think they are cool, especially the ones from AudioKit, and have taught me a lot about different parameters or terms and what not, used in the synth world.
It sounds great, however, some issues. I use an iPhone 12. It keeps crashing a lot. The arpeggiator also sounds like it’s desyncing, it’s definitely not in beat. Also many sounds have reverb which can’t be turned off?
$2.99 (USD) for a fun instrument seems like a steal to me. Why should it be free? I am amazed by the quantity and quality of low-cost instrument apps for the iPad.
Sounds like an awful toy piano. Nothing for the serious music maker. There's Zeeon, Shockwave, Quanta, Animoog Z, and other great sounding synths instead. Why do people fawn over this crap?
Are YOU a serious music maker? I don't see a single tune on your channel Meanwhile, there's whole soundtracks on mine that have used stuff like this and VHS Synth
Give that like button a wee tickle, then find out more about Saga Synth HERE: audiokitpro.com/sagasynth/

You got me at 'weird crunchy nonsense' followed by 'big sound design hole' 😎 Great tune at 9:20 !
Totally epic app & walkthrough! I think we're all in agreement on this one. Your sound demos are great too!
Cheers Nick! Loving your presets too!
does this compare to the Super Midi Pak ?

Love this and brings back FAR to many memories of my Mega-Drive! Ahhhh. 👍🏻
It’s brilliant for creating a bit of 90s nostalgia JP. It would be amazing if they did add the preview patch feature to VHS Synth too.
Really great video Patrick and amazing sound demos!
This synth, along with VHS synth, are the most fun I've had in quite some time. Great new synths by AudioKit!
It is AMAZING… bought it instantly… 90s nostalgia OVERLOAD!11
Got the release email this morning, bought it almost instantly. Fun & great & cheap!
Bought it earlier today. Love it.
Genius synth...just snagged it !!
Nice, enjoy!
Brilliant. No brainer when it's £2.49. Just bought it 😁 All of the functions work with my KORG nanoKEY2 keyboard as well 🤩👍
This looks great!
Thanks for the review ❤, £2.49 bargain!

There is a sound bank called "Sound of Izrael" really stood out
Most beautiful app I've ever seen.. and I'm a designer.
Love VHS Synth. Had a Megadrive. It’s a buy!
🎹 🤩 GLORIOUS 🤩 🎹
Awesome video duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuude!!!!!
Cheers duuuuuuuuuuude!
Wonderful!!
❤️
Moby Pixel's SF][ beat teaser is making this very difficult to resist.
Is it legal to use in music production since its sample from saga.
does this compare to the Super Midi Pak ?
Actually sounds pretty nice would sound nice in some lowfi boom bap
Right up there with VHS 📼 synth and overdrive synth insta buy
Absolutely! Tough call between this and VHS Synth for me.
@@TheGaragebandGuide exactly but I bet they sound good together I plan on testing that theory!

Is that a fairlight CMI you had playing on that first track?

Macs with M1/M2 chips can run iOS apps natively. You probably already know the answer by now, but my guess is yes, your Mac could run it.
I read on the description it only works for iOS 14 😢😢😢 and I have a iPhone 12 Pro Max
Your iPhone 12 Pro can run the current version of iOS (16)
Bought this, and over half way through the video. My question is, and I'm still learning garageband. How do I use with garageband?
nevermind, just watched until the end. I should know better. lol

FACTS! I think synths like this are a joke tho but 3 bucks i wont touch it.

I NEED THIS ON MAC RIGHT NOW.
Right?
@@TheGaragebandGuide I just hope it does one day!
Quite a few useful sounds, there. It's not all chiptune stuff, either.
No, it’s surprisingly capable at ‘normal’ stuff too.
its kind of pointless as an app? no vst supposrt so you can actually use in an actual DAW?
VST support? It’s an iOS app, you can use it in any iOS DAW via AUv3.
Why isn’t that free….😢
It's $2.99/£2.49 until January 31st. I bought a coffee that cost more than this app today.

I want sounds from sonic 3 and sonic&knuckles. Whatever instruments they use for all the things lol

You’re definitely in the minority there.
I think Beck used plenty of these types of sounds in some of his songs, no?

I’m trying to get it but they won’t let me add my goddamn card to buy it
On the App Store?
Only for iOS, no thanks.
Also iPadOS so that’s alright.
