Fantastic! video. Many of us were waiting for something like this. I'm sure that in the evolution of Clo3D we will have lasts of different sizes to model on them. I invite you to request this addition to Clo3D programmers. Thank you very much for your valuable contribution!!.
Thank you, this tutorial is very helpful! Just one question: for the heels, the "gap" between the sole and the avatar is quite large. It does not look weird as it's covered by the upper. What about the heeled sandals? Should I add pattern thickness to the sole?
Thank you! A few questions: is this suppose to be functional for animation? I mean without the additional manipulations (like using blender or other softwares). Also, is this possible to use for the heel and/or sole the obj/avatar file type? Thank you!
This construction would be specific for shoes that you want to Register for your Avatar. You can use similar principles as it relates to construction for just shoe design. Yes you can use OBJs as soles/heels.
Hi. When you register the shoe it becomes one Object. So you would no longer be able to freeze portions like other accessories. The show will just move with the registered avatar
Hi :) So if I want to use the shoe I constructed for animation would I have to save it as a OBJ and import it on the avatar as an OBJ ? Once the shoe is done, how would be the process to be able to render it? Thanks!
It is a combination of different techniques involving freezing, strengthening, deactivating, etc. It DOES take some practice and is a bit more advanced.
@@moistseoulfantasy2257 You cannot save THESE shoes as DXF. They are not garment files with corresponding patterns. You will need to create and import your own DXF patterns.
I have trouble selecting the shoe, and hair bra or anything that came with the avatar. When I try to select one shoe the selected part don’t turn yellow and when I try to delete a shoe the whole avatar will be deleted, same for trying to change color for hair the whole avatar color will be changed. Is there anything I’m doing wrong? Thanks
To remove hair or shoes, right click on them in the 3D window and you will have options. To stylize the Avatar & remove the underwear have a look at this document. support.clo3d.com/hc/en-us/articles/900006057446-Avatar-Face-Style-Configurator-ver-6-1-

Yes. You can make both flat and heels
IS THIS JUST TIPS OR do you have a full tutorial for making shoes?
This is Tips. The basic process is the same as garments; patterns, sewing, etc.
Thanks for the tutorial! to have the second shoe: do I just duplicate it to the other side, once the avatar is deleted?
Yes!
Hi, I have a question, if you freeze some part of the shoe, how can you add animation to the avatar and the shoe also be simulated properly?
Hi. When you register the shoe it becomes one Object. So you would no longer be able to freeze portions like other accessories. The show will just move with the registered avatar
Thanks, that is very good and very useful.
Glad you think so!
Great tips, thank you for this video
You are so welcome!

Lost of us in the industry uses custom characters , how do we work with these custom avatars for creating shoes ?
If you create a custom Avatar and convert it to a CLO Avatar, you can build and register shoes for the Avatar.
how would you get these shoes made in real life, as you don't 3d print leather? and stitching...
This lesson is specific for use in CLO on CLO Avatars.
@@CLO3D so it's not for making real shoes then? Damn, I'm looking for a shoe or boot design tutorial for real shoes
@@ambientsoda106 No, this is very much for just shoes in CLO.
Lovely sir
Thank you!!
How do I give the sole that bent shape ?
It is a combination of different techniques involving freezing, strengthening, deactivating, etc. It DOES take some practice and is a bit more advanced.
Can you please tell what setting are for animation of such shoes?
I'm sorry, I don't understand your question. There is another video about "Registering Shoes in CLO" which might help.
THANK YOU!
You're welcome!
how did you open the shoe pattern file on 2d window?!
Import the DXF pattern.
@@CLO3D Could you explain it more in detail pls? In the shoes folder, the files are in ZACS. How do I save them as DXF ?

How isn’t shoes deformed while she walking? Please teach it😭pls pls
Hi There. The shoes are imported back from Blender as hard objects. So they will move with the foot slightly, but that is all
