Hello there and excellent question. At Disneyland, they are all inside the parks. It is not easy to know when and where they will be. You will just see people slow down and get into a line. There won't be problems during the 5K but can be on the longer runs. They don't give us a map ahead of time though. The other problem is that the line can be very long and you won't know who it is until you get there. They do usually have a CM who will tell you which character it is (fingers crossed). I hope you guys get lots of pictures.
@@Jeissa73 you made me think back to January. I remember coming around corners and basically passing characters without knowing. I really wish they would have signs like they do at WDW when a character is coming up. They might do that so look out for that.
Running at Halloween 10k this year. Trying to figure out where the security check-ins will be. Staying at Motel 6 Maingate right off of Disney Way to very close to the 101 and the parking lot, but was looking at your video from January and see that Disney Way was blocked off east of the parking lot. However I think I saw metal detectors on Clementine and Disney Way in the video. Hoping I can just walk down Clementine to get to the start point rather than loop all the way around Katella. I'm sure there will be a security point at the parking lot, but I'm curious if there are more than one. I reached out to RunDisney and they referred me to the webpage, but I don't see any info about security other than opening time. Any input would be appreciated! Thanks.
@@upsidown that is an excellent point. I just went over the whole DEG and there wasn’t a map with the staging area. I think the closest thing is the Kids Races map which has the two event entrances. Security will be right both of those entrances. I like the simplicity of this DEG as compared to previous years but they did leave out a few things.
Great video! And great cameo!
Thank you! We have to be on the look out! He may be at DL Halloween 10K.
Funny video!
Thank you!
Thanks for the tips for the run! The ending was fun!
Thank you! Peg Leg Pete is out there!
How often does photographers take pictures? I plan to do the race with my sister and nieces and hopefully maybe we can plan ahead the pictures

@@mannyrunsdisney Thanks, it does look like that kid's map has an event entrance on Clementine and Disney Way. That's perfectly close to my hotel.
