Greetings from Istanbul! I enjoy watching your videos guys! I miss Laos so much! I hope I visit Laos again soon and if I am lucky meeting you! Enjoy your travel! Peace! 👍
LOVE following your Lao videos!! Not many go as far north as you did in this video. Can’t remember seeing many videos from Luang Namtha. Sad about all the deforestation on those beautiful mountains? Driven by China? Dang, so sad what China is doing to this beautiful country. Happy Birthday Lita! So sweet watching her make a wish and blow out her candles. 💕
Thanks for showing us the market and able to see Lita celebrate a western Birthday cake . It was so endearing watching her make a wish .. Bet you all had Mega Hangovas LOL .
Thank you so much for exposing Laos. I always love watching your videos. It would be cool if you guys did something with Legacies of war, MAG, Halo trust or Hi to highlight organizations that are making a strong effort to remove uxo.
loving the content guys well put together. i have a question as england is becoming worse and worse and i have exhausted aus and nz for working holiday visas and the canadian one is a ball ache to get how have you stayed in laos for so long?. i miss the simple cambodian visa
The Lao visa on arrival is 30 days, but you can extend twice at the office when you're here and stay 3 months, then you can do a visa run across to thailand and repeat the process. There might be a limit if you do it super often but we've never heard of anyone being turned away. There's obviously other options to stay long term if you get a work visa or investment visa, depending on what you want to do in Laos
Hey there! Since I was too smashed to walk over the 5 meters in the bar today (basically just arrived with the bus from Phonsavan after too many drinks in the guesthouse; yeah I was the sad sap across from you) just wanted to say "Thank you!"
@@TravelsonToast I was already on my way to dirty ol' Pakse where I'm chilling now. Thanks though. Very much appreciated! Keep on rolling (pretty much in any sense 😁)
I and my wife stay at luang namta Zuela guest house ,, after crossing From China by bus from Mohan,,, to Boten Laos Yes,,, walk about at the market may open your eye how many wildlife end up in cooking pot,, we saw people slaugter dog by road side at Hua xia,,,,, its their food,, Stay safe and stay happy
Haha... You guys are doing life. Most of us in America has to wake up at 5 in the morning and get home at 7 at night I have to at least see my place(city)of birth .
WILD POSSIBILITIES: if you are not already out of this northern Laos zone, perhaps consider exploring the 147km road between Oudom Xay and Pakbeng on the Mekong River. NO VLOGGERS HAVE EVER EXPLORED THIS ROAD!!! From Pakbeng, you could pay --- to put your motorcycle and yourselves --- on a boat back to Luang Prabang --- a fun, one-day down-river trip. Or perhaps do the whole thing in the reverse order --- putting your bike and yourselves --- on a boat from Luang Prabang to Pakbeng --- and afterwards driving back (147km) to Oudom Xay, Nong Khiaw, and so on. Pakbeng is a fun town, great budget accommodations and a bakery to drool over --- yet, so far, nobody ever really explores or appreciates this awesome. sleepy riverside town. So far, 100% of the uncreative backpacker herd simply stays one night --- overnight --- in Pakbeng --- to break up the classic two-day slow boat trip from Houay Xay (across the bridge from Thailand) to Luang Prabang. Sidenote on your sidekick --- your female Laotian motorbike companion is pleasantly demur and way cool. Finally, with 50k subscribers, more viewers should put a crowbar in their wallet --- and pile on the appreciation --- by supporting you on Patreon. The EARTHPEOPLE of HAWAII --- now fully supports Travels on Toast on Patreon!
Thanks so much for joining the patron family!! We've already finished the road trip so unfortunately we can't take your advice, but it sounds like an interesting place to visit. Maybe next time we're on the road around Laos! 🤙
Dog meat is actually more expensive then regular meats. Plus the dog that they eat are raised to be eaten not raise like your house pet. Dog meat are consider to be a delicacy.
im glad the government is trying to prevent people from hunting the wild animals. Conservation in laos is very important but i understand its very hard to enforce.
Happy birthday Lidta🎂!!!
Love the video and channel! Thank you
