Olivia is such a good presenter.watching a 10 min plus of presentation without skipping is definitely a new record for me.😬. .can't wait for next content..
Miss you are stunning ! Both of you are awsome with nice video landscale and views. Thanks for sharing experiences and realy nice time of yours for YT viewers. Have fun and stay safe.
I solved my problem here in Laos by (after 3 years) installing an A/C on the room i am working in every day. Huge difference ... Cleaner air as well, as the A/C helps filter out the dust from the air.
Hello Olivia. I recently had the courage to visit Thailand and Laos. You and Mario have alot to do with our couraged ( 2 daughters, niece, the wife and the lost of luggage's. We visited Bangkok, Pattaya and got food poisoning along the ways. We also visited Vientiane, Vangvieng, and LaungPrang. We hiked the View Point in Vangvieng, the view there were amazingly breathtaking beautiful. Blue lagoon 1 was murky and boy the water chill to the bones. To be honest, I'd jump into that water again anytime if i was in hot weather like that. Dot Det is our returning trips. Thank you for sharing this helpful video Olivia.
So ive been watching ever since you two attempted to hitch hike from bkk to cnx. Love the videos. You've inspired me to make a solo trip from the us through SE asia. Also, your sisters comment has me rotflmao. Please go visit chai. Im sure he misses you. Keep up the great work. Id love to meet up in asia somewhere!(sept). -Wookie
Kuang si falls in rainy season is very strong but the water is brown. I had memories of a beautiful waterfall (saw it in October) and when I went back during rainy season in august I left after a few minutes 😀
Kia Ora Olivia! Loving ur videos and ur ebook, incredibly helpful for planning my solo trip to laos in mid-October for a month. I realized after booking the gibbon experience and with my timing, I will be arriving a day or two before the Baun Lai henu fai, festival of lights, but it would be a major detour to go to Luang Prabang. I plan to enter through huay xai first as I am very familiar with Northern Thailand and have friends living close to chang rai. Im hoping to catch the best of both worlds by traveling in October/November with the weather as it worked out perfectly for my month in Vietnam a few years ago. I guess my real question is, will Huay xai or another smaller towns close by also celebrating the festival? I know it is supposed to be amazing in Luang prabang, but I also imagine it would be very crowded. I am a seasoned traveler as I work in Aviation and have had the privilege of exploring alot of southeast Asia alone and with others but I have not ventured into Laos yet so if you have any additional advice as a solo traveler in Laos I would love to know know ur thoughts. Hey, thanks so much! Since it's a celebration to mark the end of Buddhist lent, I believe it's celebrated all over laos but may not be a big event like in lpb. Usually the lights will be in the temples so going to some Buddhist temples or stupa at night during this time would be the best place to experience it. Hope you have a good trip!
ive been to Laos 4 times ALWAYS during 'wet season'...id hate to travel SE Asia in hot season as thats summer in my country and already hot enough here Wet season is AWESOME dont let Olivia put you off guys lol;-P
Thank you Olivia! Though I am worried about mosquitoes and leeches. Yikes. We are traveling to Laos in August. Should we take malaria pills etc. any travel shots recommend ations?
I'm from the states and have been to laos many times. Don't worry about the shots. Let your natural immunity do the fighting..most places and restaurants in laos are clean. Anyway, you are crazy going to laos in August. Good luck with the heat.
We have never had any experiences with leeches here, but mosquitos there is more if you go hiking, wear long pants and take spray if you plan to do hikes in jungle right after the rain. Malaria we believe isn't that common here, but we know dengue is and we know some friends who got it, but we never have. Pills or shots are up to your personal preferences really. Our only recommendation is to be careful with street food if you're not used to eating in SE Asia or eating anything raw like Lao people like to do, make sure you go slowly in the first week before you want to get adventurous with the crazier foods. Hope this helps, overall the worst we ever got sick here was a stomach ache for a day and that's after years of living and here and eating all kinds of things, so don't worry 👍
Sis, importantly please take care your self first.. don't follow or trust any person okay.. mr.mario please take care her within a full maximum okay.. love you all guys..
I like Laos but tourist must warn themselves Don’t injure! You will lose much money for hospital staff even doctor! If police asks you for money without logic please think wisely before do anything
