- We change the radiator coolant on Steve's 2004 Ford F-250 6.0L Super Duty Powerstroke turbo diesel.

How many gallon you put
God I think it ended up being 29 and 1/2 quarts I would double check with the lookup guide it will give you all the fluid capacities for everything on your vehicle.

The Dominator coolant boost really makes a power difference and your heater core work so much better and your heat coming out of your heater is about 15 to 20% more heat.

Did you do a complete flush before switching the Ford gold coolant? It is my understanding that the gold is not compatible to be mixed with elc coolant.
Yes I always recommend doing a couple draining fills with distilled water.
Just depends on how thorough you want to be I always use the low toxicity biodegradable coolant on my vehicles.
I also use the Amsoil Dominator coolant boost.

6.0 blocks are made of cast iron, not aluminum.
There is still a bunch of aluminum that sees coolant.
Oh yeah that's why I love using the low toxicity biodegradable coolant it has proprietary additives that keep it from pitting the aluminum also keeps a great contact to the metal transfer and your vehicle will warm up quicker and have cooler operating temperatures I also use it with the Dominator coolant boost the little orange bottle and the best part you can mix it to the ratio you want because it's a concentrate and it won't hurt animals like the other coolants and doesn't have that harsh smell. This is what I personally use in my 59 Cadillac and 2013 SL550 in the coolant and the intercooler fluid to cool the turbos

This stuff is the best coolant I've run in the last 35 yrs workin on vehicles, bar none, Evans npg is real nice too but needs a few mods to be effective.

Never mind flushing or draining all the coolant just leave half of it all in the heater and other hidden places, geez dude I would never let this guy touch my truck. Note the 6.0 is iron not aluminum.
Oh yeah I agree always good to do a couple draining fills to get it the most of the old fluids out we did that off camera.
I would say 88% of the old fluid was changed out as would be my guess somewhere in that neighborhood and if you want to be even more diligent about it you can do it again and again to where you only have a couple percent left just depends on how picky you are with your vehicle.

I got Hyundai Elantra 2016, it has 100 thousand miles should I flush coolant and get new in there?
Yes, this is the stuff that I used in my personal vehicle and it made a big difference in warm up time and ran smoother also the heater core worked more efficiently.
I also recommend getting a bottle of the Amsoil Dominator coolant boost because it helps the heat transfer with the aluminum radiator in luaus your car to warm up 54% faster and your engine will actually run about 15 degrees cooler to because it's a two-tiered proprietary surfactant.

So this vehicle is possibly permissions. What about the newer trucks I have a 2009 6.4 and manuel says motorcraft gold. But my truck has an egr and pdf filters

James's take on the world He didn’t specify but it only applies to “heavy duty” applications which are semi trucks buses and the like. I don’t think it applies to pickup trucks but I could be wrong..
“Non heavy duty” use is 150k or 5 years

Why didnt you drain the block plug 8mm Allen on the driver side you would have drained 80% of the cooling system

That’s why I do mine myself, dealers never doing it completely with half the old coolant stuck in the heater and other hidden places, Ford Gold is the recommended.
Can you do this vacuum coolant addition by yourself or do you need specialist equipment to do it?
You can do it by yourself. I suppose you need a vacuum and then you'll need the adapter to hook up to the valve that goes and pulls the coolant in
You can also do a traditional drain and fill where you just dump it in however you'll have to burp the system and let the air bubbles get out most of the time it's super easy just like this video was super easy.

I like it because you can mix it to the exact specification you want and the other great thing is it meets all the diesel and over the road truck specifications which are some of the hardest specs to meet and it's also a great coolant because it's good for a hundred and fifty thousand miles which is better than OEM a lot better.

Yes however if it was my vehicle I would run the low toxicity biodegradable coolant It's the white bottle and I would also run the dominator cool and boost you'll see that's what I run in all of my vehicles My SL550 and also my 1959 Cadillac DeVille.
