In GoT: we kinda forgot of the military importance of Harrenhal. But what you expect when they ruined Highgarden, Castelry Rock and leaved Dragonstone complete abbandon that Cersei didn't even cared to take it back once Stannis had left
@@karimabidi8312 Robb and the Tullys were defeated, the Vale in isolation, Stannis was also thought to be defeated. I mean there was no reason to reinforce harrenhal anymore, no more threats in the north
It is funny that Harren the Black built Harrenhal thinking that no one will be able to conquer it But after Aegon was done with it, the castle became a wh*re going from one army to another.
The river land is destined to be where the realm bleeds. Aegon the uncrowned was killed by his uncle Maegor on Balerion, above the god’s eye. The very same place that Aemond and Daemon died after their dragon fought. Rhaegar was also killed at the trident inside the river land.
Its fucking funny that the riverlands were always a tactical ground for any military in westeros. To the point where the riverfolk had to suffer for 2 sides contesting to dominate the tactical area.
Well it rather looks like that. The riverland are contested but the other kindoms on the northern part of westeros(north, iron islands and vale) are on black side while the reach and stormland (southern limits of the realm at the time since dorne hasn't joined yet) are on green side along with the Lannisters.
The reach are not on the greens side, Otto and Alicent spoke about how important for them to join but they still histent, either that or you just spoiled that for me

Wym Tywin held it in Season 2 to keep Robb away from Kingslanding

Riverlands are basically Poland throughout history. Whenever shit hits the fan it's they who pay the price

Not just that, but most of the Lords of Harrenhall have had their Bloodline extinguished within a few generations of ruling Harrenhall.

Stop spoiling shit mf
Not always its exactly at Trident when Torrhen Stark bends the knee to Aegon the Conqueror avoiding bloodshed.
Got stories getting better and better

The river lands has a border with the north the vale the crown lands the westerlands and the iron islands but not …the stormlands dorne or the reach
Thnku 4 this .they shud explain this in the show 4 ppl who dont get to read the bookz. Its helpful to understd why GOT alwys refers to this castle.
Put it like that and it is to wonder why there was not a North Westeros/South Westeros more formal divide during this Civil War

@@math-yx3tw I think it never came to that cause it never became a long-term stalemate.
not all the reach is on the greens side though
