When I went yesterday there was around 10 actors in there. I had smiler for one of my logos and when I scanned it on the end of the tunnel, one of the actors was just crouched down at the entrance of it staring at me for like 5 seconds then got up and walked through the curtain bit. I got stalked by one of the actors (the really agile ones) and I walked into a dead end and he screamed “that’s a dead end!” I ran and my guy proper chased me, pinned his hands against the gate saying “you have 1 minute left” I’m not gonna lie, I don’t see the hate for this, I had a really good time. I couldn’t get out on my first run and one of the mannequin actors grabbed me by the shoulders and started pushing me out towards the exit. Personally loved the experience.
What would be ace is if they themed it to curse at Alton manor and you could have 7 minutes to escape alton manor before Emily comes to play and they could have an actor dressed as Emily walking round the room intimidating guests as they try and find the symbols
I had a T symbol which was in its own pitch black room with arrows on the wall to find a button that would light up the scanner. When I experienced it, it was absolutely full of actors and I was cornered and pinned agains the wall numerous times, I did panic a little. It was quite overwhelming for me with the amount of smoke and strobe lighting and you couldn’t tell who was a person or an actor but overall it was a unique and fun experience in my opinion.
Im there on Saturday. Next year if we were to have: Burial grounds, Tinys Revenge, 2 Brand New MAZES and an additional scare zone near nemesis would it that be success you think?
If you know that terrifying phrase in WWE of having to go one on one with the Undertaker? What about a similar Scarefest attraction of having to go one on one...with the Flume Duck inside Alton Manor! Yes, that idea alone is far more scary than many Scarefest attractions of the past 5 years IMO.
Agree that the tech is on point and there is the potential for building a great interactive experience, but this isn’t the best iteration. Also, the price point is mad! They should have included it in with the other mazes. They probably made more opening weekend than they spent on the entire attraction from sales at £10 a head! (Probably not enough to pay for Daz Black’s image rights through…)

Just got back from 2 days at scarefest...never again it was crap..event oversold..the ride availability was bad especially on the thursday..ride operations on the wicker man were terrible no wonder its over a 2 hour queue.i had platinum fast track..waste of time..they had definitely oversold fast tracks..for instance fast track for wickerman was often right back to the main entrance to the ride..i feel cheated pal..wont ever return..by the way they even have increased platinum fast track by 20 quid only for this event..we left early both days it was too depressing
Half term / busy days are always the worst time to go unfortunately. Sorry you had a bad experience! RAP pass queues were equally as long as normal queues, horrendous
@@LiftHillsandThrills yeah me and my girlfriend were upset for the access people there queues were terrible..was a blind bloke there right at back of wickerman access queue as we were leaving.felt sorry for him as we k new he had Probably a 2 hour wait which ain't on in my opinion in wet and cold .ps no character actors hardly anywhere..mazes were terrible the 2 I tried
I really like daz games I kept getting pushed and pulled to be sent the opposite way but £10 is a bit much for maximum of 7 minutes but it is a fun experience
I was thinking about it and the exact same thing was done in year 2000 I believe at Camelot Theme Park. Before the dodgems and a soft play area was in the main entrance castle it was a interactive game called Roller Quest. It was basically the EXACT same thing as the Daz Games Panic but done on Rollerblades and more symbols to find while finding your way around a large maze like area built into the castle. Not many people remember roller quest but if you research it you will find information on it.
@@LiftHillsandThrillsIt was absolutely fantastic. I lived only a few minutes away so as a child I was there regularly growing up so I saw many changes in the park. I was invited for a walk around the park before scare city opened to give the owners advice on any pathways or areas they haven't discovered yet due to being taken over by nature. I also went to the VIP launch of the Scare City, I saw you briefly at the half way point and wanted to say hi but lost you in the crowd haha

So glad we avoided Towers this year. They just don't seem to want to invest in the event any more. Such a huge park with so much open space that could be made use of. Scrap the event, refresh, and bring it back with multiple scare zones, some well thought out scare mazes and for god sake get rid of the invitation 😂
Sounds like a concept for an old Thorpe attraction. Heavily relying on technology alone doesn’t make a great experience. Something you think they would have learnt after the VR fad. Maybe they just need to put their trust into a few people who are passionate about making it a worthwhile event again and give them the freedom to reboot Scarefest in the same way Thorpe has managed to turn around Fright Nights.
Meh 🫤 I’m just not excited by it ! Haven’t booked towers anyway for spooky season due to extortionate prices ! I’d be fuming if I paid £10 and found my symbol straight away , I’d want the smiler one just so there was a bit more action 😵💫

i enjoyed it BUT ..... i was so focussed on finding my symbols that i was unfazed by the actors. its something different though which is always good.

What do you do if you don’t find your symbols in time do you stay stuck in there? Do the lights come on? What happens
You just get let out and have failed your challenge. Don’t get locked in or whatever

Some symbols are harder to find than others but for £10 you do expect more don’t you
