I think you had the perfect quote for many of McFarlane's more recent choices: "I don't know why they..." (insert topic). Red Hood. Pulled the same stunt with it they did with Hawkman. And WTH on the pre-orders? I checked at least four times this morning, then stepped away for lunch for maybe 45 minutes and in that time they went up and sold out. Not going to stop buying McFarlane entirely (too much of a Batman fan), but I sure as he'll am not going to buy anything I'm on the fence about anymore. "Collecting" their product practically requires spending endless time running to stores (if that's even an option where one lives) or turning into a damned pre-order ninja, refreshing your screen every nanosecond to beat the bots,scalpers and other collectors. More like a part-time job than a "hobby". What a shame. People bitch about Hasbro, but they rarely do what Toddy McF seems to be doing deliberately to collectors.
