  • Explore the historic city of York from a bird's-eye view! This drone video showcases the incredible architecture, scenic landscapes, history and vibrant life of York in the UK.
Filming this video was an unforgettable adventure. I started early in the morning to capture the serene beauty of the English medieval City of York without the usual crowds. The conditions before, during and after sunrise were perfect, casting beautiful light over the city.
It was challenging getting the low shots through the streets as it had to be when nobody was around and there were also issues with the drone drifting sideways during flight but I'm really happy with how some of the shots came out.

Love that a lot. I see you were up at 4:20am to get that. Its difficult to motivate yourself to go out and film so early but it can be worth it. York is always busy so its nice to see it so tranquil and calm. Brill footage.

Absolutely! I like it when it's quiet. You can get those low shots when no one's around but it is tough work getting up early. Definitely worth it though as you get to enjoy York all for yourself!

Just be careful around the minster. The minster police don't want anyone flying around the best landmark in York incase it gets damaged.

love it mate! you never fail with the crayons...best colours york has ever been viewed in. forgot to ask you a while back but do you use gamma, gain, lift to adjust exposure or do you prefer the curve? i'm still trying to get that digital look off my videos like you have and get that smooth look from shadows to midtones and highlights.

Thanks! I use wheels for exposure and for some colour and then the curves for some more colour. I like using the glow effect and I try to implement split toning too.
