    You replaced my BA headliner about 5+ years ago with one that you tested a new clue on at that stage and it still going strong. If i hear anyone needing theirs fixed i point them towards your business

    Any tips on removing Permatex? I was doing a touch-up job along the edge of a sagging headliner and the fabric stuck to itself and got wrinkled, so it's a mess now. Thanks!

      Unfortunately quick touch ups with glue don't work, Fabric may only be sagging in a few places & still neat, but if it previously hasn't been recovered, Adding glue to the existing factory material wont work, looks messy, it will leave a visable stain due to glue hitting raw fabric, plus guve that cemented uneven effect of dried glue your referring too.
      Over time the foam backing on the fabric crumbles away making it un-stick & causing the fabric to fall down. To fix the sagging issue professionally, the Foam/Fabric needs to be replaced.
      What we would usually do, if the board is strong, would be using an orbital sander to sand down the glue to a smooth surface ready for fresh new material

    Awesome Job. Would this glue be good for an oxford fabric, it's an american flag. And should I use a foam backing with the flag. Subbed you.

      I'd always suggest to use a foam backing to stick the fabric too, gives off a much nicer cleaner finish, also prevents any imperfections on the board showing through the fabric.
      And I also suggest to spray very light coats on all non headliner grade fabrics, or thin fabrics.

    I can not get Permatek or M3 delivered to me in Tas and no one has it in stock.. the best I can do is car builders headliner spray from Super Cheap

      Unfortunately Australia is seeing shortages in stock at the moment.
      An alternative,
      I haven't tried 3m super 77, but I heard it's also good, and easier available than other Adhesives.

    Don't let customers supply their own material. You don't go buy a steak from Coles then take it to a restaurant, so why bring an interior product to a professional? 👍

    Do you need to wear a mask and ppe when you do this

    • @Reece.wilson
      @Reece.wilson Год назад

      For long term use I'd highly suggest adequate ventilation, full face mask, chemical gloves, and overalls/apron to protect spills onto clothes. However even sometimes that's not enough for proper safety long term unfortunately.
