Then you have to make it like a real rocket engine. How do you think the get fuel to the ignition chamber irl? Until recently it worked by using part of the ignited fuel to power a turbine that pulls in more fuel to be ignited.
The new way of getting fuel to the engine now is to have the turbine in the path of the ignited fuel rather than it being separate. I forgot why it wasn't like this in the first place but there must've been a good reason considering how hard making a rocket engine irl is.
Ignition doesn't take place in the bell, it takes place in the combustion chamber above it. God I can't wait to be done with work so I can try this myself...
This is what I was screaming the entire time. Tried it myself, and figured out that you can indeed mix hydrogen and oxygen, ignite it in a chamber, and have it produce thrust out a nozzle, but the hard part is getting a stable flame.
Btw acid is also an oxidizer that actually lights fuels on fire by itself. Also if you want to use oxygen, use hydrogen as a fuel. Edit: He actually starts using hydrogen in the end, good job me.

If things could bend, you could create a reed valve, a reed valve lets fluid flow through one as a vacuum is on the other side, then when it ignites, the heat creates a vacuum on the side where the fluid comes from, so it closes the valve until the ignition is complete. It’s what they use in 2-stroke engines so you don’t get exhaust gasses in the intake
My ONLY problem with this... is that it doesn’t have a starter (you could use pcln, pscn and nscn)to reduce the number of times you need to redesign things because the first design could have worked with a start and stop button.

Your engine appears to be experiencing backflow in the engine bell. Ya' might wanna address that. Also, I don't quite understand the purpose of the space between the ignition point and the engine bell, and I'm starting to suspect that you don't know the purpose of an engine bell.

So they mix and dont just fly out or create an imbalance in pressure inside the bell wich can damage it. Also, the bells both ends should have a width ratio of at least 1/70 depending on the type. Also, the pressure inside the combustion chamber can reach 300 bars and the exhaust speed can be up to mach 11 You should add kerosene and alcohol. They work really well as rocket Fuel.
I'm no rocket scientist, but I think after the gases mix they need to be shoved down a narrow tube where they are ignited and funnel the flame outside. Letting the gases expand before ignition is probably detrimental to the power you are getting here
Hey spike, when you have water vapor as a by product (combusting hydrogen and oxygen), you can add liquid rubidium to the mix to auto ignite the rocket.
Youre not supposed to vent the feed pressure, in fact youre supposed to increase it as high as you can, for example with a staged combustion cycle, or turbo pumps
Try to make a thermite cannon. It would fire by c4 that is constantly exploding and being cloned repeatedly, any that would force pressure out the barrel firing cloned thermite at whatever is in front of the barrel. Maybe you could test it on a planet or a city.

The best thing to do a rocket in TPT is to use MORT. It burns well and it seems to never run out.

depends on how much you put. If you just do a small rocket, it will be fine, if you put too much, like other particles, the game will lag.

In a classic rocket engine part of the rocket fuel is used to power a fan that pulls more fuel into the ignition chamber.

Your combustion chamber never pressurized... probably need _tons_ more fuel and a much greater reduction before the nozzle

Rockets have catalyst packs that sprinkles the fuel and oxidizer and reduces the risk of igniting the tank
Crmc gets stronger under pressure so when you capped the rocket it just reinforced itself I think
