Finally, Clark Kent is back. It's sadly hilarious how short Jon Kent's series lasted 😂
What I find interesting about all this is that Taylor can write a REALLY good Jon Kent, his DCEased Jon Kent is fantastic. But he's too focused on delivering a social message and lacks solid pacing. Having a social message is fine, but Taylor has been way too heavy handed in his writing (one of the many issues that Howard's Catwoman has as well).
The Jon Kent mini series sounds like what the Son of Kal-El should have been. Ultraman should have been his arch nemesis out the gate if they were gonna double down on adult Jon
John Kent had so much potential. Too bad it was all wasted.

It’s been nice getting hyped for Superman again with everything announced with MOS2, action comics, and now this. Can’t wait for Williamson’s Superman as it seems like it’s gonna be in the vain of Tomasi’s run. Also like that Parasite and Lex are getting spotlight again as they’ve been lacking in some stories for a while now. I’m also liking the idea of Lois taking over the Daily Planet as it’s something I always wanted to see and would work really well to show how she progressed as a character
They should have never aged up jon. That was they're first mistake.
This era looks promising and yes we want the secret identity back. I miss Clark Kent lol.

I like Jon and I really wanted him to be DC’s Golden Child, where he gets to explore all the corners of the DC universe as he learns and grows what it means to be his own person (like the World Without a Justice League) but the age jump stunted his potential as a character. Especially when CONNER KENT is getting a short end of the stick being OLDER than Jon but stuck being on Young Justice and being Superboy. THERE IS NO REASON CONNER COULDNT MENTOR JON.
I have a lot of hope for Joshua Williamson and Jamal Campbell's Superman relaunch. I agree that Josh works better with solo characters than team books. I would've liked to have seen someone like Dexter Soy or Xermanico or Lee Weeks as the artist but I like Jamal's art. (Hopefully Josh is the one that brings back Clark's secret identity). As for Jon Kent vs Ultraman, too little too late. This should've been the story from DAY ONE.
Great video man. What I don’t understand is how characters like Jon Kent and Jace Fox are supposed to be their own characters when they use the names of existing characters. It’s so creatively bankrupt. I get that part of it is marketing sales, but give the readers who buy the books some credit.
Speaking of Superman's villains I hope they do more than Lex, Zod, the 5D imp, and Parasite
Personally all I want is the return of my boy Jonathan Samuel Kent superboy back to his original 10 year old self and to basically forget all of this horrible nonsense from bendis and taylor ever happened, heck if battle of the super sons proves a young Jonathan Samuel Kent superboy back to his little 10 year old self and Damian wayne robin works in animation and is a great movie by the way. Then I think its time for DC to finally admit there mistake and deage my boy Jonathan Samuel Kent superboy back to his rightful age and let him experience his childhood the right way and let him go to school reunite with kathy aka beacon and become best friends again experience how to control his powers and learns how to be a great hero from his friends and family, also a bonus seeing him talking to other kids like Irey and Jai west wally's kids and becoming best friends with them and forming a new team of super kids would be freaking aweosme and badass and open the door for more fun adventures with all of these characters at least in my opinion plus would be a major goldmine for everybody involved but that's just my opinion.
oh man! I'm so hyped for Superman content! Henry cavill's back and Man of steel 2 is confirmed and Superman comics are starting to get good again I'm so pumped!
Phillip Kennedy Johnson and Joshua Williamson is a solid Action Comics-Superman duo. Really hyped with AC focusing on the Super-family, multiple stories with back ups by writers like Dan Jurgens and Superman being a classic, fun solo book. Finally, we might get a team better than the Rebirth era. Do hope Peter Tomasi comes back for Jon in the future too though.
Yes, just as I also hope that Clark will get his secret identity back; hopefully someday the real Jon Kent will return from space.
