I didn't know there was "microwave towers"..
There’s really no specific type of tower, well rarely atleast. Most “cell towers” will share 2 way communications of some sort or some microwave hops etc. the tower is there simply to get the antennas higher off the ground to achieve better signals to whatever is receiving/transmitting it.
