Hello, today's tour is in Dortmund, a beautiful German city in North Rhine-Westphalia, largest city in the Ruhr area and the third largest city in the state. It lies on the Emscher and Ruhr rivers and considered as the administrative, commercial, and cultural center of the eastern Ruhr. The city known as a high-tech manufacturing city. It is also famous worldwide for its Football team, Borussia Dortmund or Dortmund team.
In today's tour in Dortmund, We walk through the city center on a busy day, exploring its streets, shops, buildings and passing by its main squares and streets. You will experience the daily life in the city full of people and activities.

Bin selbst 'n Dortmunder Junge und auch wenn ich "meine Dortmunder City" bestens kenne ist das Video trotzdem schön anzusehen. Vielleicht beim nächsten Mal mehr Details vom alten Markt, Hansaplatz, U - Turm und/oder Reinoldikirche und kleine Nebenstraßen die in Dortmund auch ihre Geschichte haben. OK, es ist nicht die schönste Stadt aber wenn man sie kennt, liebt man sie ! Mit mehr Details auf Besonderheiten, die nicht unbedingt im Stadtfüher zu finden sind (z.B. ein bisken Insider wissen Preis geben) lockt mehr Menschen in unserer "Old good Iron City"

If only, all the shops we have left are crap.
well... it does look like it in his video. But then most of it is the shopping streets in the city centre, which are .. well yeah..basically a huge outside mall. like any modern city centre in Germany that had any historic buildings bombed out of it in WW2.
It does give you a very limited view of the city as a whole.
Imagine you made a video of 5th Avenue... and then called it " a walk around New York" ... the viewer would get a rather skewed impression.
Dortmund is not Germany's most beautiful city... that is sure... but it has some nicer areas in the parts away from the centre... and a huge (50.. I think) number of suburbs with some very unique and divers characteristics.

E.g. the old city hall, only marginally damaged during the war and one of the oldest and finest testimony of northern-Alps city palace unique architecture, was merciless torn down without hesitating. That was the 1950ies „mall“ concept and understanding of being modern

Unlike most places in the US, the rest of the world has figured out that mixed use buildings that combine retail space and housing are much more effective and make places much more walkable. The retail and restaurants are on the bottom. The top areas are largely housing or office space.

I spent 2 mounts in 2011 and 3 mounts 2013 and lived in the flat where is my father lived when he was working in Gneisenaustrasse, i love all dortmund part and spetialy westenhelweg... The most beautifull german city and one od the most beautifull in the whole Europe... Despertly I wish to get walk on the same street again as soon as posible

Dein Rundgang hat ein Double-Like verdient. Die Auswahl der Straßen und Orte war absolut repräsentativ und gut gewählt. Die Kameraführung war professionell. Schade nur, dass du keinen Blick auf den Alten Markt und das Dortmunder U geworfen hast.

Meine Stadt
Mit dieser Stadt ist etwas sehr schlimmes passiert. Sie hat kein Nachtleben mehr. Dortmund hat rund 2000 Kneipen verloren. Ich kenne noch die Zeiten wo man im tiefsten Winter wochentags Nachts um drei oder vier Uhr rausgehen konnte. Die Stadt hat auch Nachts gelebt. Heute bleib lieber schon um 22 Uhr zu Hause .

Um wieviel Uhr wurden denn diese Aufnahmen gemacht?
Am Bahnhof stand die Uhr auf 13.50 also um die Mittagszeit. Es war Wochenmarkt also war es Mittwoch , Freitag oder Samstag.
2:56, auf der Anzeigetafel der U-Bahn wird Samstag, der 24.09.2022 angezeigt.

Da ist die City doch schon lange tot und vieles zu, so wie ich es in einigen Berichten mal gesehen habe.
P.S. Bringe die Buchstaben in die richtige Reihenfolge, da passt jeder ganz genau, da bleibt keiner übrig....haha.
Aber habe unsere Einkaufsmeile auch schon mal viel voller gesehen, aber wenigstens kein bis sehr wenig Leerstand.

Der Text ist deprimierend! Eine schöne Stadt ist das, da kann man was draus machen! Nur fehlen zzt die richtigen Köpfe, die schönes noch schöner gestalten! Ich mag Städte, in denen kreative Menschen ihre Spuren hinterlassen.
Finde ich nicht in Ordnung, dass Gesichter hier ohne Einverständnis zu sehen sind. Wo bleibt der Respekt und die Würde? Nur damit du Klicks generierst, soll das cool sein? Bin aus Dortmund. Hast großes Glück, dass nicht ich drauf bin. Das kannst du mir glauben.

Dortmunds City ist nicjht schlecht aber nicht individuell gestaltet keine Grünflächen zu wenig Gastronomie zu viele Handyshops und billig Textilien zu Kaufen ansonsten ist sie zu anderen Städten riesig.
