I really love how well this matched the game. Eventually you as the player reach a point like this, where you feel that every other person is below you. Killing without care or remorse all for a quick buck. Sometimes mission details can be spotty etc. This was perhaps the closest to the actual game any one of these episodes came, except for maybe Sifu.
might not play exactly like a soulslike, but the FS DNA is there: you have to commit to your build, recovering from mistakes in combat is costly, there's no easy way to powerlevel and render the content trivial, and the story is obscure as shit.
@Kiwicrack if I remember correctly, you can resell weapons and gear you don't like for the same price you purchased them for, so there's virtually no risk in just switching things up. You cannalso replay previous missions for cash
in AC6 parts sell at 100% buy cost. You can access the garage after you die to change your AC, but you can't access the shop. So during the mission you can only work with the parts you bought. So I think it's balanced in a way and I like how this allows me to freely experiment with any AC config.
I love Armored Core and Warhammer, but I have to say this episode just didn't resonate that much (while the Warhammer one was spot on). I guess because the story of it was just very different in tone. It felt like the writers took very surface level things from AC6 like voices in the head and mercenaries and that's it. Feels like they read a few specific words out of a 2 sentence AI summary of the theme of the game. Art, Animation and acting is great but yeah big letdown in writing in my opinion. Hope Preach can one day play Armored Core as its a feast both story (lots of speculation) and gameplay wise and is nice length too, perfect balancing making it fun to watch (couple of attempts for the harder bosses, playing with builds to counter them but no multi day progress needed).
Fun Fact: the AI voice is played by Erin Yvette, same VA as Ayre from AC 6.
It's not an AI, it another coral schizowaifu
I dug this. I would’ve loved to see more.

You definitely don't have to commit to your build. You can swap everything out at any checkpoint.
@@ehsper392 Don't you lose out on cash? I am basing this off of previous ACs

@@Kiwicrack You can refit your AC at checkpoints in AC6, but only from parts you own, no shop access.

Not the best one but not the worst one. I’d def play an armored core Keanu Reeves game though
Hope he check space king 👑
