- Hey everybody! In this episode, Trevor and I install LED turn signals, LED flasher relay and the XK Glow License plate LED turn signal kit to go with the MNNTHBX Tail tidy for the Honda Navi. With the Bipolar LED bulb I installed for the turn signal in a previous episode, there is no need for any diodes to make everything work properly. (after you convert the Navi to DC) Stay tuned for the LED light bar installation coming soon. I am waiting for 1 piece before we do that. We will see you in the next one...Easy.

Damn that looks awesome. Great job brothah.
Thanks brother! Hope you are doing alright. Waiting for another video from you! Stay safe.
Fuc$&!? awesome 👍 installation of the lights. Did you need just one converter to be able to install the LED lights? Also, did you ADD LED lights for the rear brake and front headlight? Thank you for this amazing video.
Thanks brother! I DC converted the Navi, so I could run LED lights... I have a video on that as well. I ran a 12v wire to the front and rear when I did the conversion. This should be all you need to add any extra lights. We did change the rear brake light to LED. I just searched the original bulb size (the rear brake has 2 separate lights in it). As far as the headlight, we got a Daywalker H4 bulb on Amazon. Here is a link to a similar Daywalker on Amazon:

What's up man I got a TST relay it's the best way to go I had bought some in my parts store they worked but TST has a switch to blink however u want looks cool
Awesome! Thanks for the recommendation! Ride safe brother!
@@icemanfiveoh u guys do the same🤙
Sorry about that thingiverse file, I did mine with the inner step on the outside, because I measured it wrong originally, didn't want to sand it down, and haven't gone back to fix it yet lol. Sorry 'bout that. I'll update that file someday haha Glad you didn't have to go through diode hell to get your turn signals working.
It's all good brother! I would have drawn something up in Fusion 360 but sometimes I'm lazy lol. I always check thingiverse first. why reinvent the wheel...Keep up the good work and thanks for the comment!
Would you allow me to purchase the spacers from you?
Sure. I need to redesign that part so it drops right into the hole left by the original turn signals. That way you don't have to file the adapter to make it fit the hole. I'll work on getting a model made up today and let you know when they are ready. I have a few people that want those turn signal adapters. I'll reply back to your comment when i'm ready to send them out.
I did this but all my blinkers go off at once and are SUPER slow
You need to make sure you are using a LED compatible relay. The other thing you need to make sure is that your Navi is dc converted. In the end, I needed to leave the incandescent bulb In The turn signal indicator. This happens because there is one indicator for both turn signals. Another option is to use diodes in series with the indicator bulb. Thanks for the question, and I hope you get it sorted out!
What is the link 🔗 for the plate LED, and the relay, please?
Here is the link for the XKglow LED plate:

As far as the LED turn signal relay, I think we got it off Amazon. Nothing special. As long as it has the same number of pins (2 or 3) it should be fine.
do you need a HONDA NAVI LED RELAY for every blinker... so 4 in total?
No. Just 1 relay does all 4 signals. It replaces the stock one under the seat.
@@icemanfiveohcan I add the break and headlight for the LED? Do I need another relay?
No relay needed. Just a straight swap. But you have to do the DC conversion, which is really easy.
Where can I buy the little black washer to make the turning signal flush?
I 3D print them. I believe yoshimura also makes some as well. I’m charging 5 dollars for a set plus 8.75 flat rate priority shipping. If you are interested you can DM me on Instagram-Icemanfiveoh. I can ship them out in just a few days….
where did you tie in for the running lights? id assume tie in from the same as the dc conversion line for on off when the key is in. just got these lights and they are pretty slick
That's exactly what I did. I ran a wire to the front and the rear when I converted it. I have a video on doing that as well. Thanks for the comment and congrats on the new bike!
@@icemanfiveoh awesome I'll look for the video now thanks for the quick reply
8:30 but where did you get that red wire from?
I added a red wire to the front and the rear when i dc converted it, so I could use the running lights of the turn signals.
@@icemanfiveoh thanks for replying. What I mean is where does it come from, straight from the battery or spliced from another one?
When I DC converted it, I used an add a fuse in the fuse box and ran that wire over to where it needed to go on the right side of the bike. At the point I attached it on that side, I branched off 2 red wires. One went to the front and one went to the rear. I recommend watching my DC conversion video to see the locations. Thanks for the comment, I appreciate it.
@@icemanfiveoh will do, thanks.
I'm trying to add a similar kind of turn signals, your videos are really helpful.
Thanks for the comment, and I'm glad I could help!
Any chance you have a link to the LED bulb you used for the turn indicator? I went back and watched the episode but it only worked one way and then in the vlog you said you would post the link but i couldn't find anything.
I went back and looked through my purchase history on Amazon and I found some non polarity specific instrument bulbs I bought. I'm 75% sure this is what I used.

@@icemanfiveoh Thanks a ton! I'm doing something similar this week and will give them a shot.
What would make it so when you put on the turn signal both sides flash at the same time?
Since both turn signals share 1 turn signal bulb on the dash, some people are experiencing this. When I went to change the turn signal bulb to LED this happened. I ended up keeping that bulb an incandescent. It could also be the turn signal relay. I changed that out as well. If you go LED you have to convert to DC as well. Some people are also adding diodes where the LEDS connect to the bulb indicator light as well. I don’t like chopping wiring harnesses, so I did one thing at a time until it didn’t do it anymore. Hope this helps!
The extra red wire you ran in the front and rear. What is it ran too. I would like to purchase those same lights.
So both of the red wires come from the fusebox. Technically i added them where i converted the bike. next to the rectifier/regulator. When i converted the Navi to dc i just added them in. Watch my video on the DC conversion to see how i did that and where i tied in the 2 aux 12v wires.

Does it draw more power since you have that tap in with the ac/dc conversion? Thank
The only thing powered by that tap up front is the led light bar which draws maybe 200 ma. The led turn signals only draw a small amount when they are on as well.
You can send information about where you bought all the components, thank you

@@icemanfiveoh I'm from Ecuador friend if it's not too much to ask you could send the link where I could buy the relay and the other accessories to complete the work
I am a complete novice. If you don’t care about the turning signal being running lights, is this all just plug and play?
Yes. a lot of turn signals don't have running lights. For the front turn signals, blue and orange are the signals, and green is ground for both. It is the same for the rear signals. Replace the turn signal relay and then remove the original turn signals. If you are using the LED turn signals i have, then yellow goes to the blue and orange in the front and rear, and black goes to green.
I have the same 4 pack of led bullets you installed here but I want the rear ones to have a red running light and brighten when I brake. The orange for turn signals work fine. How would I wire them up to work as a brake light too?
Unfortunately, there are not 2 sets of red LED's in these turn signals. I don't think there is a way to make them brighter. You could hook the red lights to the brake lights but then you wouldn't have running lights. Thanks for the question and good luck!
@@icemanfiveoh that's what I was afraid of. I'll leave em as driving lights. Love your plate frame! That thing is awesome!
@@GoofyFoot96 the lic plate frame is pretty awesome! It turned out way better than I thought. I’m glad it did it was like 70 bucks! Id recommend it for just about any bike…
I have the same turn signals. What do I hook the red wire in the back to in order to get them to also function as brake light?
Thanks
@@tr7945 if you are talking about the led turn signals from Amazon there is nothing you can do. They don’t have an extra circuit for brakes. If you are talking about the integrated lic plate frame it does have provisions for that.
did you use any extra wire like splicing it?
for running lights
I ran 1 wire to the front and 1 wire to the back to power the running lights. I added these in when I DC converted it. I have a video on DC converting it as well where I believe I show how I did that. Thanks for the comment!
so I should covert to DC first and then do the blinkers because I bought everything you have in the video and installed it but they all blink at the same time no matter which way I use the signals@@icemanfiveoh
DC conversion is a must for these bikes. Did you get a LED capable turn signal flasher? Also, the Navi's have an issue with the turn signals since they only use 1 indicator bulb in the dash. I think I solved this issue by using a Bipolar led for the turn indicator. Not all LED bulbs are non polarity specific. Others have solved this issue by splicing in diodes to the turn indicator light. I looked back at my previous video, and we may have even left the regular incandescent bulb in there as well. One of these solutions should work for you. I DID NOT splice in any diodes and everything works fine.
I think I may have used this one:
